(Front 180 into the smiths are Barley Grinds) A hurricane is a 180 to I guess willie grind? But its on the opposite side of the rail, if you do a 180 but willie closer to your side of the rail, that's a sugarcane.
I was watching the Olympics skateboarding freestyle finals, and the commentators kept saying that the extremely high level tricks the guys were pulling looked like videogame. It's amazing that the game looks this good, and that these guys were so clean that they pulled tricks that we usually only see in gameplays like this lol.
These guys are at such a high level of skating that it’s easier for them to pull off “video game level” tricks in real life than it is to do them in Session.
That version looks awesome, one of my favorite Skater XL maps. I can't play modded maps anymore at the moment, but I used the modded Easy Day High as a training map to get used to Session before the console version came out.
Seems like a lot of people are choosing session over xl but honestly , that short you made the other day made xl look like a better game , plus it has multiplayer and community made maps , Which game do you find yourself playing more of pigeon?
Currently Ive been playing Session more often, the videos seem to do better on here over XL and I like trying my best to show good gameplay in hopes that it might change some peoples perspective on the game. But, I have been playing some XL in my free time recently and I have really been enjoying it again, the steeze and freedom you have over doing tricks is unmatched.
Dude can I have some of what you are smoking? Every XL map ported to session looks worse than the original, which makes no sense, considering Session uses UE4, all ports should look better
Agreed, Skater XL always wins on graphics which like you said is odd considering Session is on UE4. But I’m talking purely from a fun gameplay perspective, mostly down to being able to grind every edge in Session, it opens up a bunch of new spots often “un-skateable” in SXL. In fairness that doesn’t really apply to this map but the title is just a board statement for most XL to Session ports imo.
@@itspigeonthief bro honest to God as someone who filmed skating someone who was sick as a kid that was forced to watch it instead of doing it until I was 20 when my thyroid leveled out an now I can actually skate. To the eye skater xl is more realistic imo… the float control, the upper body,the way the board slightly moves from under the player and with mods there’s that true challenge to catch the board… also iv noticed on xl you can do the same trick and land it but have to fight to land it with the steeze you want just like real life… I urge you to go watch the tony hawk and session side by side comparison. Are you really playing a sim game? or an animation based game with more difficult controls?…. If you wanna say the replay system is better on session ok you got that 100%. But playing session the look of session the lack of awareness the skater shows for everything he does on that game is unacceptable in 2024 for a AAA priced game that’s hype to be simish bro. Like really look at your skater how he skates… you can hit the biggest gap on the game first try an roll away like it’s nothing the skater shows no effort arms just down feet and legs loose as hell. Yea xl w out mods aint that great but if you understand how vanilla works an how the sticks are kinda “spring loaded” to control float it’s still better then the base game of this, but wit mods xl is just loads better man even how you play on xl I can tell you love the sport on session bro it just looks unnatural. We all know it’s the little things that make skating so sick session is all fundamental no steeze no style skate game. Some of the tricks look worse then the tricks on skate 1 as well. Specially if we talking body movements.
And tbh man when it comes to action sports games i don’t think it’s a lot of people who care about graphics at all. if someone made a skateboard game that was Uber realistic and it was poly mf would still play it. I mean look at mx bikes man at the end of the day it’s about physics if we are going to call it a sim. Nacons physics are wonky asl..
But Skater XL has multi-player that's really the only thing keeping that game alive, if session had that it would be a wrap,Session need to at least make the skate jam/ tournament online .
