She has a very high spinal cord injury (ventilator dependent), and her husband is her full time caretaker. They laugh a lot too. Then it dawned on me. My husband is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We try to keep a practice attitude also. We had to adjust our relationship, as our interaction is totally different. It’s an ever changing journey. I will definitely keep watching as it helps me stay positive. Thank-you

I really appreciated Shane discussing his "burden complex" - I do not have a physical disability but I struggle with mental illness and I've totally experienced the same thing in my relationships as sometimes I am very high needs, and have struggled with feeling guilty about it. Yes! Expose kids to lives of ALL kinds. Being kind is the best thing I've seen in my teenage grandson. He's always the first to welcome a new student, befriend a gay kid, or sit with the disabled kids. My sweet ginger! I'm glad I live with my daughter & grandson, we've had to work at living together but I can't imagine not watching him grow. I share my love of 80s music & he got two used guitars (one bass) & a starter amp for Christmas. He's played french horn in band for 2 years. We're not wealthy in money but we more than make it up in love. A no drama home with every one getting consideration for their feelings makes for happier people. Yeah, that is one of the biggest reasons that has stopped me, every time I have thought about starting a RUclips channel, I would really struggle with negative personal comments. I think you two are adorable as a couple, but also as individuals. I have learned a lot about SMA through this channel and even though it hasn't touched my life personally, it's still helpful information and I enjoy learning about it. I also just get a kick out of your sense of humor - both of you and the "sarcasm" that some folks don't seem to understand. I "get it" most of the time and burst out laughing frequently at the things you guys say - especially Shane, when he blurts something out in the middle of a serious discussion and makes a joke. You two are very sweet and I think it's wonderful to see that being disabled doesn't mean you cannot enjoy every aspect of life, including having a loving relationship and showing the world that it doesn't have to be complicated. Granted, I'm sure Hannah had to make adjustments in her way of doing things to include you Shane, but that's where true love really shines. I love your guys channel and all the different types of content you post!! I’m physically disabled myself with FSP, which has characteristics of MD and CP. I can still walk with leg braces, such as Shane wears sometimes, and hitch in my gait. My walk has been described as a “pimp walk” by my friends haha As a disabled young man at 29 I haven’t had the best luck with a relationship not for a lack of trying on my part though. I’m on dating sites, I know not the best way to find a good relationship, but I’m not the type of person who goes out a lot. Not only that but I’m not the type of person to go up to woman randomly. I love your channel because it brings hope to those who are disabled and looking for a relationship similar to yours in their lives. I know you just did a Q&A on this video, I have been wondering through watching all of your videos on your channel if you guys had a advice for a disabled person to find a relationship similar to yours and how they might go about it?? When I’m on those dating sites when I get to a point of telling the person that I’m physically disabled, I feel their minds go straight to the stigma of being disabled like I’m not worth it or can’t do anything because of my physical disability. Then they all of a sudden stop talking to me, which irritates me because before that we are usually talking really well. I love your sarcastic humor! There's NOTHING that shows how much love you two have for each other and how comfortable you are with each other!! This is now my favorite channel! I've been binge watching your channel during the coronavirus, and it's a great way to to lift people's spirits. Keep doing what you're doing. Love is from the heart, your compatibility, personality, etc! You two I guess you could say "click." And anyone that says you are just after his money has a phobia of anyone with a disability and should be ashamed of themselves!! Ignore their ignorance. If they have to spew their venom on a RUclips channel it just goes to show that nobody wants to be around them in person.

I found y'all's channel through Special Books by Special Kids, and I just want to say thank you so much for being yourselves and educating the world! I really appreciated Shane discussing his "burden complex" - I do not have a physical disability but I struggle with mental illness and I've totally experienced the same thing in my relationships as sometimes I am very high needs, and have struggled with feeling guilty about it. Hearing Shane talk about reframing his needs in a positive light was really helpful for me. Thanks Shane!

Yes! Expose kids to lives of ALL kinds. Being kind is the best thing I've seen in my teenage grandson. He's always the first to welcome a new student, befriend a gay kid, or sit with the disabled kids. My sweet ginger! I'm glad I live with my daughter & grandson, we've had to work at living together but I can't imagine not watching him grow. I share my love of 80s music & he got two used guitars (one bass) & a starter amp for Christmas. He's played french horn in band for 2 years. We're not wealthy in money but we more than make it up in love. A no drama home with every one getting consideration for their feelings makes for happier people. Enjoy your childs childhood, it goes too fast. ✌

Yeah, that is one of the biggest reasons that has stopped me, every time I have thought about starting a RUclips channel, I would really struggle with negative personal comments.
They are on every single channel. But I do think you need to have very thick skin to be a RUclipsr, or at least have a great support system.
I think that it is great that you have each other to deal with those nasty comments, because you are both in it together.

I just adore your videos! My husband will be coming home from hospital later this month. He is a left leg amputee, lost due to diabetes. & has balance issues so is in wheelchair. You two help me so much w problems we hv had w wheelchairs in public. He may lose his other leg, so I hv to be a full time caregiver. I have loved watching you both since I first discovered you 1.5 years ago. I hate to admit this is the first time I have felt a need to comment. How anyone can watch you and feel the need to be negative is baffling. I watch y'all to cheer up, to laugh, to cook, and to feel love. My father lost his leg due to Morganella getting into his bloodstream. I think you two are adorable as a couple, but also as individuals. I have learned a lot about SMA through this channel and even though it hasn't touched my life personally, it's still helpful information and I enjoy learning about it. I also just get a kick out of your sense of humor - both of you and the "sarcasm" that some folks don't seem to understand. I "get it" most of the time and burst out laughing frequently at the things you guys say - especially Shane, when he blurts something out in the middle of a serious discussion and makes a joke. You two are very sweet and I think it's wonderful to see that being disabled doesn't mean you cannot enjoy every aspect of life, including having a loving relationship and showing the world that it doesn't have to be complicated. Granted, I'm sure Hannah had to make adjustments in her way of doing things to include you Shane, but that's where true love really shines. She doesn't let that hinder who she is or how she treats you and you are very blessed to have each other. I enjoy your channel, I tell others about it and hope that maybe a few people have subscribed because of me telling them to come check your channel out. I have contemplated doing a youtube channel (and I do have one but it's just boring right now LOL, all about my stray and feral cat rescue), but it's nothing like what you two do and definitely not something that would attract subscribers. I enjoyed hearing about how you got started and the challenges you have faced and overcome - that was very helpful information. I love your guys channel and all the different types of content you post!! I’m physically disabled myself with FSP, which has characteristics of MD and CP. I can still walk with leg braces, such as Shane wears sometimes, and hitch in my gait. My walk has been described as a “pimp walk” by my friends haha As a disabled young man at 29 I haven’t had the best luck with a relationship not for a lack of trying on my part though. I’m on dating sites, I know not the best way to find a good relationship, but I’m not the type of person who goes out a lot. Not only that but I’m not the type of person to go up to woman randomly. I love your channel because it brings hope to those who are disabled and looking for a relationship similar to yours in their lives. I know you just did a Q&A on this video, I have been wondering through watching all of your videos on your channel if you guys had a advice for a disabled person to find a relationship similar to yours and how they might go about it?? When I’m on those dating sites when I get to a point of telling the person that I’m physically disabled, I feel their minds go straight to the stigma of being disabled like I’m not worth it or can’t do anything because of my physical disability. Then they all of a sudden stop talking to me, which irritates me because before that we are usually talking really well. Anyways, enough of my rambling and sorry if you have answered my question before in a video. Keep up the awesome content!! Thanks!!

I started watching your RUclips about 2 weeks ago, I love the connection you share with each other, the positivity is so real and genuine, it's April 6 today and Shane cracks me up with all his expressions. I am a Canadian Registered Practical Nurse, after I check all the updated news on Covid 19, I go to RUclips. Thank you for making me smile after a long work shift dealing with so much sickness right now and so much fear in the eyes of the vulnerable. I work in LTC and my heart is heavy for them all.
