This warms my heart. My teen adopted a rabbit about 2 years ago. Our first rabbit. It took us awhile to understand her, but now she is fully integrated in our lives. She is demanding and loving, but it starts with her feeling safe.
This video should be a reminder to take care of any animals you take in. Rabbits especially can reproduce till a point that you can’t give equal care to everyone. Spay/neutering is important if you plan to keep multiple bunnies ❤
This hoarder was apparently a person breeding show rabbits. People should realize how quickly things get out of hand when females are housed with males. I don't understand the mentality.
It was sickening to see the condition they were found in! Our bunny Bun Bun V crossed over the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge on January 3,2024! He was a rescue bunny! We have a rescue bunny 🐰 named The Professor now! He was really scared at first! Now he comes to us for petting and treats! You have done a great job with your bunny 🐰 🐇! Have a great day! 🐰 Bunnies 🐰 RULE!
I am so happy when people look to rescues instead of financing the pet farms that supply the pet stores. Why would anyone buy and keep the overpopulation problem going as well as supporting these inhumane pet factories? Thank you for caring!
I wish we could take in more, but we try to concentrate on the pink eyed whites that sit in shelters for many months. There is only so much time to devote to all our animals. Thank you for commenting.
Yeah that’s nasty. 🤮 The max I ever took in as a rabbit foster was a mom and 5 babies (3 days old at the time) plus my own 6. I was in between jobs at the time. The mom needed her cage cleaned out daily besides the nesting area and my own can be destructive with their cardboard shredding, toy shredding etc. I also make an effort to clean their litter boxes every 3 days. I was only able to keep mom and babies for a month before I had to have another foster take them. After that we only fostered a max of 2 juveniles or 1 adult at a time. I now only do vacation breaks for fosters since my rabbits are all seniors and I don’t have the energy to be running back and forth to adoption events 30 miles away. I also cut ties with fostering for the Humane Society since they almost lost my rabbits ashes I had to put down last year. Quite traumatizing that they were misplaced for over 3 weeks. Instead I foster for a rabbit rescue. In total it’s probably been 40 bunnies over 10 years. My seniors are Katrina 12, Gwen and Grace both 11, Halligan 10, Babs 9 and the newest addition Niko at 6. 😊 Sarah from Minnesota
