Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys has always been one of my favorite bands.
That Eldon was somethig else on those Traveling Bass Notes. Great Music that Shall Never Die.
On "Take Me Back To Tulsa" you can really hear guitarist Eldon Shamblin's innovative alternate bass lines in the rhythm section.
It's like a combination of Freddie Green chording with a walking bass, I think.
