Daniel is reading my mind, I was working L-sits earlier this week and I really lack hip/hamstring flexibility and this is just what I needed to know. Thanks for the short and keep working.
The struggle is real. A friend did a one arm L sit because he broke his other arm. So i thought it was easy. That was 30 years ago and i still struggle. Thank you
Okay, I was worried about raising the legs higher than keeping the back less hunched. Good to see it's just as fine to lift a few centimeters but working everything else more
"enjoy the cramp " bro really said " love seeing you suffer " 😂. Maan but thanks a lot i struggle with them legs like it shakes a lot glad now that I know il work on it
had this issue, my abs were weak. didn't do shit to my hip flexors, that being said, probably getting stronger abs lengthened the hip flexors indirectly which is how the body works anyway
Some videos I’ve seen told me to focus on leaning back while doing the L sit It can make it easier due to the minimum compression of the abs Is this right?
Been looking into buying BBR, but was wondering if it would work with weights? Say weighted pull ups and rings dips? Been doing weighted pull ups and ring dips for awhile now, so was wondering if this program would be suitable for weighted calisthenics. Thanks! P.s. Hybrid is out for me as I only have access to rings and dips belt
Hey Fitnessfaq, i always wondered if you ever made a video about tight and short nerves instead of muscles, especially at rear leg. We learnt in physical therapy school that they can shorten aswell and hinder full mobility while beeing way worse to stretch and get back to normal than muscle tightness. I would love to hear your opinion and maaaybe a video in the future about this topic if it does apply to your knowledge. Greetings from germany! -Benjamin
I can get in L-sit position (on the floor) hold it for like 3 secounds, then my legs start shaking and i fall on the ground. Whats problem here? Is it core strength?
With hands forward, you'll need to be flexible in terms of folding (like instead of touching your toes, your palms are touching the floor). Then you can work on shifting that mobility to a more hands forward l sit

Glad to help mate! Breaking down the movement is a great first assessment. Knowing the weak link allows you to focus energy accordingly - good luck!
ME TOO!!!
Same! Keep up the good work guys!
Dude same I started calisthenics a little over a week ago and practiced them almost every day not really knowing what I was doing
It's been a year. Did you make it?
this short contains more information about the movement than any other "tutorial" I have seen, thank you brother!
I love/hate the 60s format. It' challenges me to convey things succinctly. The limited time makes nuance / context hard sometimes!
Yes. Great job. Daniel, do any format you want. You are doing great. And yes it is not easy.
giggled at "enjoy the cramp" wink :)
Former gymnast here. Love this video. Thank you, Daniel! 🙏🏻
These make me wish I could save shorts in my favorite workout lists.

I never trained for it but tried it one day and could do it easily, v sit is a long journey though i can't seem to make much progress with
What a personality.

Big fan of yours😊
Thank you, needed this. I’ve had tight hamstrings all my life and I’m always struggling with it in combination with calisthenics movements. Thanks 👑

Why do we cramp when trying L-sits ?
"enjoy the cramp " bro really said " love seeing you suffer " 😂. Maan but thanks a lot i struggle with them legs like it shakes a lot glad now that I know il work on it
No way. This came up just as I was majestically failing the L sit.
Hey i have a question are those cramps are okay or it is wrong form?
Damn, I always get a cramp haha
had this issue, my abs were weak. didn't do shit to my hip flexors, that being said, probably getting stronger abs lengthened the hip flexors indirectly which is how the body works anyway
Why not bend back during hamstring stretch? Doesn't it still stretch the hamstrings?
Some videos I’ve seen told me to focus on leaning back while doing the L sit
It can make it easier due to the minimum compression of the abs
Is this right?
does singular seated leg lifts as a regression help? the regular ones that you did in this vid is too difficult for me

Is there any way to decrease quad cramps? That's my biggest problem. The quads start cramping just into 5reps
Is your leg meant to cramp while doing these?
Hip flexor strength 강해야 L sit 자세가 잘 나온다. 평소에 바닥에 앉을 때도 좋을듯.
앉아서 다리 들기 연습
Yea I am pretty flexible but immediately get a cramp if I lift my legs sitting, leaning forward
I can get in L-sit position (on the floor) hold it for like 3 secounds, then my legs start shaking and i fall on the ground. Whats problem here? Is it core strength?
Are you supposed to have a slight bend in the lower back when you do it?
yes
I did l-sit today with rings then this video just poped ,
Whenever I try an L-sit my hip flexor start to move does this mean they were about to tear or something else?
This is exactly what I m trying to achieve and failing, cannot keep my legs straight
Any thoughts on doing an L-sit with the hands even with or behind the hips?
With hands forward, you'll need to be flexible in terms of folding (like instead of touching your toes, your palms are touching the floor). Then you can work on shifting that mobility to a more hands forward l sit
"Enjoy the cramp" 😈
“Enjoy the cramp”
We have been warned.
Jokes aside how can you prevent quad cramps during L Sits?
there is no way just getting more flexiable over time
Are the cramps dangerous? Cuz my quads also cramp on pistol squats. The non-working leg pointed forwards, to be clear

I only feel it in my calves? Someone help when I try do L sit hang I don't feel it at all in my abs but my arms don't last more than 5 seconds
easy way to exercise weak hip flexors is to lie on your back with a band around your feet and do high knees
So no one noticed the fly on his tricep?😅 :D
music please?
my hip flexors are weak af
I can do a L sit but I'll shake alot😅
That cake though
