Eh, I guess people were expecting it to be more like the Highway 35 series of movies, that never got a conclusion. It has more to do with racing than the Fast and Furious series has recently.

I been rewatching the series, and yeah aside from a few things as an adult you realize get repetitive about saturday morning cartoon shows, it's fun to just put it on in the background while drawing. Sage's species and the Diads also bear a striking resemblence to champions onlines "Socrates" AI which came out the same year as the show.
Fun Fact; Dan Wheldon guest stared as himself in one of the second season episodes. And the finale movie released in latin America was dedicated to him

I honestly love this show, got introduced to it a few weeks ago by a good friend, now I'm totally sucked into the fandom. BF5 is my #1 favorite compared to Accelracers, but they all have their speciality that makes them so great.

Battle Force 5 was my childhood, amazingly animated, great display of vehicle combat, great characters (my favorites were always vert and stanford), and compelling story, even when some episodes don't contribute to the story at all

Battle Force 5 just had way too big shoes to fill, that's all. Other than that, it was a pretty good offering an a rather large lineup of offerings from Nerd Corps, though when you start actually paying attention, you notice just how similar a lot of their cartoons were.
To be fair, Acceleracers and the Highway 35 movie despite never having a conclusive ending was hard to top, it made it appear that the stakes were higher than what came after because they looked like they were driving to survive there. One of the racers had an arm and a leg replaced by those of a racing drone (evil robots) and another, Kadin, was lost in the Highway 35, just to reappear almost completely converted into a racing drone.
Ive noticed mattel hasnt done anything special with hotwheels lately like videogames or movies or new TV shows team hotwheels doesnt count if you're gonna ask that
Luis Games 215 Even Team Hotwheels has been dropped (after a terribly executed/unnecessary reboot) Pretty much all they do is cameo in other racing games. Makes me wonder if the recent decline in arcade racing has affected this.

Geez the memories behind this one. This show was always hype as hell for young me which was helped by the honestly really good CGI animation which I think still stands up today. Great show

One of my favorite shows growing up. My favorite vehicles and characters out of all of them were Vert (the Saber) and Zoom (the Chopper).
