Been saying it for years, but mega churches have to go. Focus on the faith, not the money and fame.
The very reason we should only focus on jesus, not people. People idolise the pastors very much whom are humans, if every individual have a relationship with jesus, the holy spirit will guide you and if you still go.. why show hate to our own brother and sisters in Christ? We should show love, and pray for them… i pray for all who were victims, god bless

Yes, but there also a time and place to condemn people who have done wrong. Jesus didn’t die for our sins only of that person to sin again. Like what the heck?? To many who didn’t grew up and a religious church knows that if you’ve done wrong, you’ve don’t wrong, you say sorry and you don’t do it again. Simple!!! Why is it so hard for many to not understand that concept???

Looking back over my life, after recently turning 60, I can say that with the exception of childhood, I have been able to spot Carl Lentz's a mile away. And they know that - they know immediately who is on to them and who is not. How do you go through adulthood without developing this attribute?
We need to investigate all of the Celebrity Pastors and Megachurches!!!!

Leave it up to Carl Lentz to rat everyone out to get people not to focus on his sin and heart ache he brought to the church world wide
Carl Lentz's problems didn't start with his affair. His posture as a leader in Ministry was problematic from the get go, more focused on his own image and celebrity status than on teaching the Gospel as it is presented in the Bible. Let this be an example to Church leaders who are tempted by status, something very easy to fall into. Coolness has absolutely nothing to do with sanctification.
A good reminder that the church is grounded in Jesus’s death and resurrection, not in organized religions like Hillsong and Bethel.

the adults in the room (and there weren't all that many) saw all of it coming from miles away. Egoism, "god told me," holier than thou, a worldly way of grooming, dressing and presenting oneself that came off as homoerotic were all the warnings signs that a pastor had lost his way due to narcissism and a love of power. The Church had to repent of their idolatry as well.

Just few days ago, the founder was found not guilty for covering his dad sexual abuse.. Umm okay, me personally still can accept it. But now the whole world know how broken/corrupt is Hillsong..

But that does not mean that there will not be thousands of people who have been damaged. Humans face repercussions for their actions. As Jesus said, he will judge he church before he will judge the world.

Never take your eyes off of God. Never leave Jesus behind. Never reject the Holy Spirit. Keep your eyes on all Three. Man will fall. We humans fall. When you find yourself taking your eyes off God and following man, your fall will be great. Sometimes people can never get back up. Idols are dangerous to worship. Especially when the idol(s) are talking and walking, swaying you to give up your life to them. Asking for money and watching them spend it on themselves. Better to be with a poor, humble pastor, than a well slicked, dressed preacher. Jesus warned us. Come out of them. Be not like the world. Follow Me, and I will show you great and mighty things. But by all means, pray for those who are perishing. If you do not have that burden withing your soul, ask for it. It took me a long time to want to pray for those I thought would never change. Faith. Believe. Hope. Love. I don't want any person to end up in Hell. Not a one.
