Serious comment. Glad to see you are still alive. I can't begin to tell you how many people I know that buy Superbikes and don't live that long or end up with life changing injuries. About 70% of family and friends of mine were killed because of car/truck driver error. I made it but sold my last Superbike in 2002. My first was a 1986 Ninja. I was involved in 9 street/freeway accidents (1 was my fault on Angels Crest Highway) and crashed on the track a dozen or more times riding all out (most of those crashes my fault). This won't change your mind. Riding is the best feeling, I know, but there are too many people on the road and road hazards. And the power the bikes create is insane.
@@doublemc2633 I am one to live to tell the tales. 2-stroke TZ superbike racer from the 1980's, hung up my street leathers circa 1989 and never looked back! My body is paying the price now, in my 50's, it hurts to breathe some days.
Nice results. I know everyone is focused on those engines that make peak up near 7000 rpm, but for a street engine you need that broad torque curve. This one looks like a wonderful driver. And love the Greta sticker on the dyno window :)
I’ve got this motor with 215cc heads with a super victor intake on it and what a awesome motor. Sounds great with flowmaster fx mufflers. Made enough power to easily overpower clutches in my transmission. Time for a 4l80e.
Awesome video brother!!! Awesome build!!! I just finished the video with me and my granddaughter torquing my Ls3 heads down. Her first and she was so excited!!! Proud grandpa right here!!!
I’d love to see a video on the Mighty Mouse 427. I just ordered mine with the Holley Sniper 2 in cherry red and I am really looking forward to getting it installed in the build.
195cc heads seem kinda small for over 400 cubes to me. I would put some AFR 227cc heads on that, and I would bet money the power numbers would be better! Not that those are bad numbers at all, tire smoke for days with those torque numbers for sure! But i feel you'd have even more with bigger/better head's!
I was thinking the same thing. On their website they have 210cc heads on the next up HP rated engine. With 210cc I would expect to see a lot more HP than what they list it as... These make a lot of torque and would make a great street engine. But they are leaving a lot of power out of these.
Why did this make more power than the tunnel rammed version you sold me? It only made 510hp with the tunnel ram and 2 carbs. Why? Also, why didnt it make as much power as the tunnel rammed one you did the video on? It made less power on YOUR dyno, the one you dyno all you engines with... Why?

Totally agree, sell the bike and live !
I've had bikes, there's tooo many people not paying attention out there, seriously dood !

Nice build, been racing SBC for a while (40+), there never going to go away. They are in fact the winningest engine of all time.
I really wish that someone would build a 428 For FE this way. The are such a legendary engine. This 406 Chevy is definitely a sweet engine!

What transmission did you burn up?
@ 4l60e of course. Can’t even get past 3/4 throttle with this 406 and starts to slip.
Thank you for finally making this video! Still haven't fired my PA 406 you guys built me, but soon!!! Looking forward to hearing it cackle! 🙂
77 vette in Wa St.
I got your 420hp/470 torque
You should have mentioned your yt channel.
Just subscribed.
Love my engine!
Awesome assembly awesome engine.I'll definitely give you a call
Nice motor boys! Our 377 with same everything made that exact power but 500 ft lbs...

Seeing you start every bolt with that impact driver has my OCD going crazy!
Thanks for all your videos. I'm putting together a rod piston ls3 using all your videos for learning ✌️
Nice to see people keeping these engines relevant. Just drop it in an old GM with no dicking around.
Great engine glad I bought a 406 extreme
Nice output. Thanks for the video.

been waiting on ya to drop ya next video, awesome video btw
I have one and love it. Make my 80 Cutlass nice. Make sure you add a 9" Ford rear to your cost. Trick chassis did a nice job on mine
Thank you for your knowledge and videos USA 🇺🇸
Definitely going to get you to send one of these to Australia when my current 406 dies.

Enjoyed the Napoleon dynamite music..lol
18 👍 's up Engine Guy thank you for sharing 🤗
Can we see an overview of your in house heads and intake?
Very nice, wonder how much more it would make with high compression on e85.
totally cool!
Excellent job. Looks like white stuff on the ends of the intake manifold bolts. Is that teflon paste you use?
Can you make 427 ci ?. My stock block 406 can't get there safely.
Looking for 650 HP
THANKS
Like to have those number with low raise intake or 525hp and a bra torque curve
Low rise would need to be ported A LOT and even that's won't guarantee it'll run as hard as this combo.
406 is a lot of inches to feed with a low rise
Would probably peak higher with shorter runners and down on torque
Legit setup🎉
I want one now
Wish i could move this fast while building engines😂😂😂
I’m wondering how much attention is paid to weight matching/balancing the rotating assembly?
What's the price point?
Is this block made / cast in USA ?
You know it’s not USA made. Probably that German block that summit sells too.
Dart block made to their specs
You guys make a marine version

It made less power on YOUR dyno, the one you dyno all you engines with... Why?
Why is the hp so low? I have a 383cid with a flat tappet that makes 584hp. Oh it is only 10:1 mine is 12.6: 1 with ported track 1 227cc heads
Warranty mabey
Yeah you have a race engine
This is a street engine made to run on pump gas that even a moron could not break
What size flat tappet?
@@cedricwilson2055 I'ma guess he has a really big solid flat tappet cam
Looks like a Summit Block to me
Speed Master
WHY ARE YOU GUYS USING A SINGLE PLANE INTAKE MANIFOLD WHEN YOU USING A HYDRAULIC ROLLER CAM AND ONLY REVVING TO 6000 RPM ?
I would have liked to see a rpm air gap or street warrior dyno pull also. And a 1o7/8 lsa cam
Umm... am I the one that noticed that you didn't bother to degree the cam in??? Like wtf!
Like that will make that much difference. Just run the base/idle timing where it wants to compensate
