"I love old people." I don't think anyone had more fun than Glenn and George. I laughed so hard throughout their concerts, and always came away refreshed and filled with God's love after seeing them in concert. I miss those two... and Roger as well!!!
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
Priceless. Nobody could top George's wit, but it was Glen's taking the brunt of the jokes (and occasional deadpanned additions) that made it work. But when the music started, hearts were uplifted and souls were saved. They had the rare combination of righteous humor, powerful music and the perfect message - the saving grace of Jesus. Outstanding!
You will only see them again IF YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR!!!! NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN!!!! BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED!!! ACTS 16:31
I got to see The Cathedral Quartet in concert twice. Once was in Maryville TN, near home, and the other time was in Ohio, near their home. They were awesome !
They are an Institution unto themselves serving a higher calling. I also like GoldCity, The Hoppers, and The Singing Hills;A nativve gospel family originally from the Six Nations Conferacy who have been travelling for over 25 yrs singing. They started off as a family with the 4 girls all singing angelic vocal harmonization. Check the 1 vid they have performing Joy will come in the morning.
Debra , I Can Only Imagine how wonderful of an experience that must have been. I can remember the first time I had the opportunity to meet the Cathedral Quartet my closest friend Earl invited me to come with him to see them perform over in Ephrata, Pa. And as we were walking into the auditorium of the high school where they were performing we had the opportunity to meet Mark Trammell the baritone singer and we also had the privilege of meeting the old man Glen Payne Ernie Haase Scott Fowler and Rodger Bennett. However we weren't able to meet George Younce at the time . He was there to sing that night but his voice was kind of hoarse. So he stayed on the bus . But they did a great job singing that night. all in all I had the opportunity to see the cathedrals in concert two or three times. And I'm glad I had that opportunity to see them they are truly Legends of southern gospel music. I'll never forget them.
@slammerh1 It's on the "i Just Started Living" video. not sure which one it is specifically, but i know i have uploaded most of the songs off that tape.
I wish I could find the clip where George is talking about Glenn being so old that when he was just a boy, the Dead Sea was just sick! Soooo funny! Anybody know which one that might be? It was on RUclips about 3 weeks ago and I can't remember which one it was. Something is telling me it was like a compilation?
George and Glenn are great together in every way. I miss them tremendously. God Blessed them.
