Astoria/LIC is the sweet spot for having an apartment in NYC. Cheaper, more spacious and about the same commute time to Midtown as you would have if you lived in the Upper East or West side or even Brooklyn. Hoping this gem of a area keeps getting ignored by the hipsters and keeps its charm.
My first trip to the city that sparked my interest in your videos was to visit my friend staying in LIC. i dont come from a city with high salaries so im saving my pennies, but i could see myself planting there for a few years. love seeing you cover the area!
🏆 goes to this apartment....design layout executed exceptionally well & beautifully appointed. That kitchen with the suite of GE appliances is everything. Cash, just when I think your humor and wittiness couldn't get any better....here we are ☺
This apartment is awesome! It’s so spacious and I love the appliances specifically the fridge. Having a big fridge is such a luxury in an apartment setting. 🙌🏽
You had me with the basement storage. This is quite an incredible place, really well done, and I love the floor to ceiling window in the living room and the bedroom. Oh, and parking, quite fabulous!
That kitchen set-up is really nice! After watching these videos, I think if I were living in NYC the thing I would covet most is kitchen counter space!
Ken’s rating: B Points were lost when we got a shot of the laundry room. How could a developer build something 2 years ago and not have en-suite laundry? Bedroom is divine. Living room is large, but looks like furniture might be an awkward layout. Not sure. There’s sun, but view isn’t great.

Use to work in the area years back 12-14 years ago). Definitely was on the come up back then. They were starting to build luxury apartments, but since it was pre pandemic, was more expensive. Easy to get to Brooklyn & the rest of Queens from there. Parking spot is a MUST. Was a challenge driving in & finding a spot.
OMG...the apartment/building amenities are absolutely perfect...great amount of space, big closets (though it could use a linen closet), great counter space and a FULL size dishwasher. Also love the two floor to ceiling windows. 👍
I live in LIC and it is a great place to live. Usually the 7 train can get you to Grand Central in under 8 minutes. There are also two ferries which leave you off near NYU Langone. Tons of luxury buildings. The Waterfront (where a lot of apartments are) is beautiful.
So glad you did this video. It was hard to soak in the layout just from the Streeteasy photos. I wish it was a tad price friendlier. Otherwise, total winner!!!
really nice , nice area , apartment , perfect finishes , and nice living space , and the views , specially from that rooftop , just amazing , great find Mr. Jordan :)
New building, no heating pipes, means you will have to pay for the heating bill in the winter. That can be high. Also, if I were to live in NYC, I'd rather live in an old building that is gut renovated than a new building. These are just rather generic and not that ingeniously designed either, IMO. But the roof is nice.
Don't ask me why but as I was watching I was reminded of the movie "The Sentinel" from the 1970's in which a young woman rents an apartment in New York and learns that the apartment is the gateway to Hell and that she is to watch over it. Ava Gardner played the leasing agent or broker. Cash, if there's ever a re-make of "The Sentinel" you should have a cameo role in the film as the person showing the apartment----and the name CASH JORDAN should have top billing in the opening credits with your name over the title. Seems perfectly logical to me!
Ever since New York voted for live birth abortions and danced in streets like sodom and Gomorrah,I would have to say spot on!It is cursed by God and never coming back !
Oh my gosh that is one of my favorite movies scary movies. Remember at the birthday party for the cat black and white cat black and white cake??? THE OLD couple moved to Murray Hills? I totally know was you are saying. I want to come to NY to see.all the neighborhood's
@@washkoskat I've only seen a little of "The Sentinel". I recall at the end how Ava Gardner as the leasing agent was showing an apartment a young couple and the husband asked about quiet neighbors. The leasing agent said that there was one neighbor "...who is a recluse. She is a nun", and you see how the young woman who is the main character had become the sentinel. Talk about chilling. I love the apartments in "Rosemary's Baby": Rosemary and Guy's apartment both before and after they move in and then Roman and Minnie's apartment and how the two living spaces were once one big apartment and are still connected though the hall closet. I'd love to have one of those reaction videos with Cash responding to the two apartments from his professional and even personal viewpoint. I like both of the apartments myself, there in the errie Bramford apartment building which is a fictional version of the real-life Dakota.

From the critical standpoint of a single woman's security this apt is truly on target with the video intercom that shows everything going on in the lobby; I would feel confident living here - even with a bar directly accross the street!! Laundry needs a few more W/D's but it's not creepy and appears to be very clean! It was a good design idea to place the storeroom nearby and it also seems well organized and useful for the tenants! Plus it's great that this is a small boutique style building and if I were to relocate to NY I would prefer this type of setup with a lesser number of neighbors for the first three years until I really got a feel for east coast life! Transportation and everything you need is close by though I didn't see schools, a hospital, pharmacy, library, or grocery store though I'm sure they must be within a mile or so away and if a person is choosing to live here it's their responsibility to do the necessary due diligence prior to move in! Trash chute availability was a BRILLIANT idea for the obvious reasons of course (not having to brave brutal winter days to take trash outside, or risk being robbed at night, etc) but beyond that it's much better to contain the garbage in an enclosed area reducing odor and vermin infestation which unfortunately is something NYC is known for and which keeps me and many others from packing our bags, and arranging for furniture to be brought accross state lines . . . That kaleidoscope view from roof deck can't be beat! It presents an unusual, intriguing view of the city and creates curiosity about it !! Really like shape of bedroom and the two windows makes that part of room an interesting reading nook!! Those two closets are in a singular realm that isn't often experienced by NYC tenants!!!
It's a beautiful apartment, new and nicely equipped (although you do have to wear clothes to do your laundry). The bedroom and closet sizes make it appropriate for a working couple. For a price there's indoor parking, though if you don't have a car the subway is within a 15-minute walk. (Cash must have used his skateboard to get there in 7 minutes.) Also, there's a supermarket 15 minutes away. It looks like a decent neighborhood. You'd pay more for a place like this in Manhattan without necessarily getting more convenience.
Vernon Boulevard - near a favorite Mexican restaurant "Casa Enrique" which is also has a Michelin star -- fabulous Sunday brunch! Decent sized apartment with a nice layout. Like the area because you can see the sky because there are no skyscrapers. Really nice sized bathroom! And did I hear you say there was a doorman? Good to go!
Now that’s what I’m talking about. The apartment is great and beautiful and the features are awesome. My only beef is the room I like the view but the layout sucks it just doesn’t attract me at all. I always love The LIC area in queens the only problem is the apartments are expensive and the area is a little out of my price range but other than that I love it
I appreciate the scale of that building and prefer it over the high towers that have been going up in that area. I don't see what makes this a "luxury" building, though!
Cash, would you mind sharing your video background music playlist? This is a nice apartment. The only thing I don't like, besides no laundry, is the glassdoor on the tub. The door would be hard to keep clean, especially the door tracks. Also, I'd feel claustrophobic bathing in the tub. I prefer a shower curtain.
Cash nearly at 100k. I have got a lot of my friends here to subscribe. Can't wait to see the silver plaque on the wall.🙏 Love the vlog today. Stay safe. By the way. Thank you for your vlogs. 🥰
Nice 1 bedroom with a parking garage. If it comes free with rent it’s a great deal - if not, probably another $400 to park your car and live your life on the Queensboro Bridge. Buses stop along there and in Nov and Dec and the Security Council week it often takes an hour to get over the bridge to midtown at about 59th and 2nd Avenue where the Q60 bus ends and begins. So close - yet, so far. I take the LIRR instead from Woodside or Forest Hills when in that area. 14 minutes from FH to Penn Station I can handle even it it costs $17 to come and go. It’s cheaper than Uber and you don’t need to lose your mind on the bridge but adds up. I like the East location so you don’t get the intense heat summer afternoons. The video intercom and doorman are great additions. I love having a door person 24/7 even though they never touch the door except to lock them after 11:pm with the touch of a button. The front desk attendant handles mail, building entry, gossip and world/city news, building alarm systems, garage complaints....A really nice perk for buildings. This apartment is also quite nice and roomy and appears to have central heating and air which is really nice. Since you may not necessarily be on city waist steam it might have expensive utilities unless they are all included. I like prewar buildings but this one has quite a bit going for it - but it’s expensive for a 1 bedroom or over $3000 mo with a car and then you have to pay another $50 an hr or $600 mo to park in Manhattan. You need to make about $108,000 year to afford. LI City is nice but it isn’t Manhattan ambiance wise. A couple can share and pay about $1500 each which isn’t bad. Right now maybe they would give you parking included if you own a car and a decent sized storage unit which would make it even more attractive. Looks to have no workout area so a gym membership will also set you back quite a bit. Good video as usual.
Lovely apartment. Decent living space and a workable kitchen. The only negative is the trash room right next to the front door. If your neighbors don’t properly dispose of their trash vermin will come & your apartment is right there + the noise of people just going into the trash room (I guarantee that no one will be thinking they shouldn’t let the door slam b/c it may disturb you). Growing up, my apartment was right by the trifecta of trash room, elevator & stairs. When I brought my coop, I purposely picked a unit that wasn’t too close to any of them.
I am usually critical of some of the apartments I see on here because they may be good deals for NYC but they aren't good deals for the rest of the world and the people moving to NYC. This is a phenomenal apartment at a good price, slam dunk.
Yes, this is definitely a good one. Would be interesting to know how much the parking spot costs extra. I presume it's not included in the 2.700$ because than it would be too cheap. Some people would argue that there is no such thing but in this case.... I like the large bathroom. Where I live bathrooms in new constructions nowadays need to be larger, by law, due to wheelchair accessibility. Could this be the same in NY perhaps? Anyway I like big bathrooms so I am all for it anyway.
In Manhattan that would have been chopped up into a three bedroom. Really love this one. Definitely a top 5. Also, won't get an ice maker in New York. Uh, you're still in New York. 🤔 Thanks for another great video!!!

I appreciate the ability to watch bar fights for free when regular fights cost a lot on pay per view.
Love the sarcasm when you describe things! Too funny !😂🤣
Awesome apartment! Love your videos!
Cash nearly at 100k. I have got a lot of my friends here to subscribe. Can't wait to see the silver plaque on the wall.🙏 Love the vlog today. Stay safe. By the way. Thank you for your vlogs. 🥰
Thank you!!!
Nice place with good amenities in a great neighborhood.
Awesome apartment with all of the fixings very convenient to Manhattan. My only wish is that it be a 2 bedroom. Nice ‘hood.
Love the Bar entertainment!! Lol dude your videos are awesome!
Thanks!
My sister lives in LIC not too far from here! The neighborhood is awesome! This apartment is great!
🤔 Now you have me curious as to what the "T" in T-Mobile stands for,so I'm gonna look it up now.
let me know when you do.
Trash-Mobile
Stands for telekom lol
Haha
@@chanelcash6907 That's right.
I don't understand how people live in NY we think $1000 is too much for a 1 bedroom
My dream is to live in a luxury apartment in Queens. I love everything about this Apartment.
It was just a trash chute. Not a trash room. Huge difference
This apartment was IT!!!!
I am usually critical of some of the apartments I see on here because they may be good deals for NYC but they aren't good deals for the rest of the world and the people moving to NYC. This is a phenomenal apartment at a good price, slam dunk.
If I ever leave Brooklyn I’ve always said I want to live in Lic and the I love the kitchen. 😍
Why am I addicted to these videos?!? I will never live in NY. Love them though. Nice apartment, I would live in to. Best kitchen yet.
Appreciate your feedback!!
That is a great apartment!!!!
Such an underrated area. 7 train 👍🏼
In Manhattan that would have been chopped up into a three bedroom. Really love this one. Definitely a top 5. Also, won't get an ice maker in New York. Uh, you're still in New York. 🤔 Thanks for another great video!!!
Amazing closets with this one
Great video dude
Another busy day for Cash and enormous pleasure for us!
Wow that one is super nice ! I could handle living there!
Great video!
No idea why I watch these videos... I literally watch from beginning to end and i'm planning to purchase real estate north of Dallas haha
I guess deep down im comparing the prices and the space each one offers based on their price range.
Cash Jordan vs Dunkin Donuts WrestleMania 38
cash is just anti-BS. did you see some of the other vids? he didnt mind saying dominos is not a real restaurant, gristedes is expensive for no god damn reason and all the other BS going on in new york city. i saw all that and more and im glad im not the only one. i boycott companies silently when i feel their practices are unfair but i still need my yogurt. lol.
Haha yep
The garage would be a good selling point for me to want to move to LIC.
Yes! I’ve seen a lot of these videos and this was the first with a garage. Great place.
Love your videos :)
