You have the BEST hair tutorials of any RUclipsr I have seen. I love the diagrams with the angles, perfect for me to come back and get an instant refresher. My bf loves for me to cut his hair (I cut my own hair and have a decent amount of basic knowledge) and I am always at a loss for men's hair 😂 thank you!!!!!
Dude everything about these videos - magic 🔥 The sounds, the song choices, the solos! Sorry meant to leave this on another video but I’ve been watching a bunch of your vids lately and they’re so helpful!
Thanks Walter. That’s an endorsement I’m more than happy to be part of. I hope the students enjoy using the razor. Could be a mad day in the college on the first day of razor practical 😬😄
@@theoneminutebarberI have my very own lecturer with me in my classes on RUclips. I cut the same way as you but you have way of explaining it better and your video editing with the lines drawn in i find really helpful. Thank you
Jeeze you really do the best vids on youtube. I've been cutting my own hair for years but I'm gonna try the clipper forward method tomorrow. Also got a father razor coming in tomorrow maybe okay with that too never used one before. Thanks!
@theoneminutebarber thank you. Subscribed. Definitely need more practice with it as the razor does not come natural to me. I've cut my own hair for years and your method worked great at even-ing the sides. I didn't try the top yet using your method but maybe next week. Awesome tips
@theoneminutebarber im trying to cut my hair to approximate RDJ haircut in this old interview. ruclips.net/video/TcGN-OrUbsw/видео.htmlsi=NKBzb5AogaExM77y Any tips on how to get that texture. My hair on sides is much thicker and hair shafts much thicker so it seems needs more tricks to tame it to get the right look
Great video. I just ordered one of these. I have been cutting my own hair for a while. Would this razor be good to blend in the "bulk" line after I take the clippers to the side of my head. I always have that line and always have a hard time blending it with the clippers as Im afraid I'll take too much off and start clipping too high on my head. I think this might kind of give me a funky choppy look to the lined area. My hairstyle is somewhat on the shorter side, but not too close to the head.
Your videos have been amazingly helpful - I love all of the diagrams and your explanations are always so clear. You are truly a master of your craft! I'm trying to learn how to cut my boyfriend's hair, since he has very stubborn, pin-straight hair and two cowlicks (the most noticeable of which makes his hair shoot out from the parietal ridge). Any advice on how to tame it? 😂 Thank you so much for the videos!
I have only just got your channel. Do you have or think you could make ones on how to style the hair based on different hair shapes? I'm trying to find the perfect style for me I feel great in but I don't know where to start. I'd even love if I could know where you work as if near I'll for sure like to get your help
Good question. No the effect with thinning scissors is distinctly different. Thinning scissors leave a more uniform texture. The razor leaves a truly unique finish
@@theoneminutebarber that’s interesting to know. My barber mainly uses different techniques with a scissor e.g. slide cutting/point cutting when he texturises. Might ask him to use a razor next time
😂 I hopoe it changed for the better. I must have changed microphones, sometimes I need to do that when I mess up the voice over and have to redo it at home

Last time I saw a true 'razor cut' was in Germany. One of my bosses asked the old school barber if he knew how to do it & of course he did. Completely different method from yours. It appeared as if he was using a straight razor to just gently take hair off the basic shape.
I’ve seen that method. It takes a steady hand and a lot of skill that. I’ve also seen videos of that method being used in poorer parts of the world where they’ve learned with a razor because it’s all they have.
@@theoneminutebarber I was only surprised as I had never heard/seen that technique before. The feather razor you use interests me as my oldest son desperately needs a haircut; this might be the perfect tool to give him a nice trim w/o taking off too much length.
You should get one and try it gently on a couple of sections. Just to get your bearings with it. They can remove an astonishing amount of hair with just the slightest stroke.

Great video man found this really
Clear and easy to follow and interesting and the cut at the end is amazing
Awesome, thank you!☺️
Great video. Great content! I am able to cut my son’s hair and actually have it look good. I just picked up a razor and about to try it out
Have fun
Make sure to keep the hair wet at all times or the razor will drag
Magnifico Maestro ! 😍

You can do it! Just be careful with the feather razor. It’s delicate but can also decimate your hair in a single swipe.

It will work using the method where you run the blade along the comb but make sure there isn’t too much hair in the comb. Just the ends.

It’s my favorite way to cut top. I remember in barber school I was so scared to it. Lol
I love the razor too. It’s my favourite tool by far.
This is a cracking style n cut🤙
Thanks Paul
Would you recommend this technique on wavy hair that's not quite as thick as your client in this video?
No probably not. The razor on thin wavy or curly hair can cause frizz

I am in north east Scotland but if you send a photo to my instagram (also one minute barber I might be able to make a suggestion)
Nice!
Incredible! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Do I cut with scissors first and then use feather razor or only feather razor
You can use both methods. A lot of barbers will cut with scissors first to establish the overall shape. And the texturise the shape.
@theoneminutebarber
Which app do you use for video drawings?
I use Adobe Premiere Pro
Beast🎯
Does texturising with scissors make a difference or will the results be the same regardless of what tool you use?

I think it's like point cutting.
It's better than point cutting
Thanks you 😊
Thank you too
I noticed the blade in the comb isn’t the same as the blade for the straight razor how long will it last till the blade dulls out ?
It can often last about 2 to 3 haircuts. They come in cassettes of ten or twelve and have that bumpy guard on them.

So I am between 2 options a side part or French crop/crew cut which one you recommend me ?
