ABOUT US
In 2014 I created my RUclips account "Tourist to Local" as a way to document my study abroad adventure in Chile. Over 6 years later, Tourist to Local has turned into a travel community on RUclips that is focused on sharing our favorite travel memories. Along with my husband, Martín from Bitácora de Viajero, we make bilingual videos providing tips and guides to create memorable and unique vacations. Travel is attainable, and our goal is to show you how you can travel too, whether it's for a weekend or a year!

Great one! Thanks for the information! 👍
Love Playa Mayto, Tehua and Cande’s! We went several years ago. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Don’t forget about Perula. Careyes. Tenacatita. La manzanilla, Melaque. Lots to do on those towns as well
Mystery solved! This bucket list item must be checked! Good video and lots of good info. Thank you 😁
I hardly say this to documentaries but I LOVED yours because you provided great information including prices of empanadas, THANK YOU
Love this! Thanks for sharing... looks like a lovely little getaway 😍😍
Luv your video, great beaches to visit when I move there. Won't eat the fish at all but beautiful beaches. Thx
I am so stopping there to get some of those empanadas 🥳🤩
We LOVED THEM!!! Highly recommend.
I was in CDMX now back in the U.S. next time I go it’ll be to Puerta de Varta, thanks to you.
Wow gorgeous! I want to go there!!
Great video, I'm an American with plenty of family in Tehuamixtle. It was great seeing a few of them in the video. I would say the drive from Puerto Vallarta to Tehuamixtle is about 1:45- 2:15 if you know your way and have a straight drive there.
Have been there many times and usually stay at Hotel Mayto! It is only about 2 hour south of PV and Tehua is great! Huge oysters!
Saludos para ti y para martín
Great video! Looks like a very nice and relaxing trip away from the crowds. We would like to go to Vallarta . Have you seen many families with kids starting to travel again?
My family is from that area. All my vacations growing up have been here. Love how it's progressing! Saludos 👍
That's awesome! It's a great spot! Saludos!
Oh wow, I saw that Oxxo in another video and my daughter wants to stop there, we are traveling to Sayulita next month, but our flight lands in Puerto Vallarta 🤩 Saludos from the Bay Area in California. 😇
It's a pretty cool Oxxo! Have an amazing trip!!
Our Road trip tomorrow!!!
Nice
Went last year ..so Amazing..i hope it never gets over built-up..p.s. appreciated your covid update.thank you
amazing stuff! I havent looked at anything further south than Yelapa. so wow, this is around the southern point of Banderas bay... and omg those platters of seafood! dont know if I will ever make it down there since I dont have a car, but nice to know about it anyway.
It's such a hidden slice of paradise. If you can rent a car for the day, it would be totally worth the trip!
@@TouristtoLocal right on... being aware they exist is half the battle, so thanks again for highlighting these spots. Ive only been in PV a couple weeks so still just dipping my toes in to what is available in this area.
Hey hun, sorry we haven't been able to visit you for the last few weeks we have been in Bulgaria filming. But great to catch up with you again. Hope you are well. Absolutely love this intro if i didn't say before lol. Anyway stay safe and catch up again real soon.
Is the water really aqua blue? Beautiful place! We are in Boca de Tomatlan and own a car so we want to drive to Mayto, etc.
Tejuamixtle looks so amazing!!!
You have to visit!! Thanks for subscribing by the way!
Hi nice of you to share your adventure at this beautiful beach, just wondering if you guys came across some free public camping areas? thanks! and greetings from this small rural town....somewhere in Mexico!
Hi! Happy you enjoyed this video! We didn't come across any free camping areas, but then again, we hadn't been looking for them! I'd be interested to check that out now!
@@TouristtoLocal So nice of you to reply and give your imput on my question of (is there any free camping areas.) if you do go back and find some let us know, thanks you guys take care. Adam
🤩🤩🤩 Great recommendations. How do you get there from PV via public transport?
There is a bus that passes every 10 minutes! I took it from the zona hotelera to mismaloya, but I heard from locals is the same that runs both ways, north to Nayarit, south to boca de Tomatlán and it was like 10 pesos
can you get there by boat?
Yes.
*Great video* 😃 *Where did your friend get her cute skirt from?*
Can you tell me more regarding the weather. You mentioned it is cooler than PV? I work online. How is internet speed access?
I think this will be a welcomed location for 6 months out of the year as opposed to the Puerto Vallarta area.
Single mature and solo female traveler what are your thoughts thank you
Yes, its a little cooler! There is not much infrastructure out here though, so I wouldn't count on wifi sadly.
List is not in order if your reading this but I have to say
1. Juliana your beautiful and Martín you are too 😂 #nohomo
2. Your videos are awesome. 3.Editing is on point.
4.I’ve been a viewer for a while and each one is filled with great advice and nice trips :)
