This is excellent information. I am a survivor. Had I known these things from a young age, life would have been quite different for many people.

Patty you are the best. My life would have been so much different if I knew the safety rules as a child. I am a survivor of sex abuse as a child. Today I am proactive in educating parents about warning signs and danger to watch for. God has the perfect teacher with you and we are all blessed by what you teach us and the children. Thank you again.

Uncle creepy had me sit on his lap and my parents watching, they felt uncomfortable but didn’t say anything to be polite. I was a child and didn’t know this was not Normal. I just thought I was sitting with a nice family member. Afterwards, I got in trouble (a lecture) for sitting on his lap. Do not do this, because your child will not want to confide in you and if something happens they will think it is their fault. Please please don’t do this

Wow this is the most comprehensive advice on preventing sexual abuse on RUclips I think. Thank you for sharing it! I have just put some tips for parents on my own channel - very much similar content but not quite as involved. Really important and will be sharing. THANK YOU.

Nowadays, our children can suffer sexual abuse while they are "in the safest place", in their bedrooms: please, be aware of the potential damage that our kids can suffer if consuming porn, or if our kids can have sexual interactions with people on the internet. There are thousands of predators, from all over the world, that can access our children, just pretending to be someone of the same age.
In addition to this, we should educate them to avoid always sharing images or videos from them, and also from other people (our kids can share images of classmates, etc... and that's something that can be a crime).

Thank you for bringing aw winess to the fight that I can happen in religious circles too and that it’s not just the Catholic Church scandal but it can happen in protestant churches or even other religions. And that just because somebody is a authority figure in those settings does not mean they’re always safe

The thing people over look is that it's mostly family doing the abuse, dad, uncle, brother...etc

Great video, but if a man tells your 4yr old daughter that she looks sexy he is obviously a sick f##k and you have every right to confront him and put him on the spot.

How to teach kids that even a parent can be a predator ? Their father for example... wouldn't this be cruel to them knowing they can't trust parents ? How to protect kids from a parent ? Please answer

Out them to the police...a predatory grandparent is not a family member but a serpent.
Serpents are only useful for taking up jail cells.

If you teach your kid that they're the boss of their body when they're little, how do you respond if you try to give them a bath and they yell at you that they're the boss of their body and they don't want a bath? On the one hand, it is their body and they're in control of who touches it. On the other hand, they gotta' bathe.
Also, if you're teaching them that they can't trust anyone with a specific uniform, how do you teach them to trust police officers at times when they don't feel safe?

I'm coming along late, but I got from the video that she was saying you can't necessarily trust police- its safer for them to trust a mom with kids. I was also wondering about your first question though :D

Tova H maybe let them learn how to take a bath themselves? tell them you're helping them bathe but if they want to do it on their own, great (obviously with you there too)

How is a kid who is probably just past learning how to read tell the difference between a police officer and a security guard? Kids also see the world as a series of legs, a kid isn’t going to be able to see a badge and know they’re talking to a legitimate police officer.

A good way to protect your male child from sexual abuse is to not mutilate him by circumcision.
