19:50 Ciao friends! - Наука
Kurt and SQLBI is the greatest merger since The Travelling Wilburys
Been following Kurt for years, glad to see him in videos now! Huge addition to the SQLBI team.
Welcome, Kurt Buhler
Great start
We are sure it will be a great journey.
After I saw you two years in a row at dataminds, I was waiting to see you on sqlbi.
How nice, to see strong people like you together with sacred monsters like Alberto and Marco.
Definitely the "Ciao friends" with the intense eyebrows @20:05 is the winner!!
excellent, always a pleasure to learn new things
Nice and easy to follow. I especially appreciate that instead of just showing "right first time" coding, you hit the pitfalls a beginner may make, show why the error is happening, and then fix it. It really helps to understand why each piece of the code is there.
Kurt: Nice tricks on dynamic formatting however the best part of your the video is after 19:50. Thanks
Following you for a long time but now have to move to sql bi. Congrats!
You don’t know how thrilled I am. Can’t wait for the next ones. Great content and don’t worry Kurt you’re doing great 😜
First time watching you bro. Nicely narrated. Concluded with little fun side.. all the best for upcoming vids..
Its so great to see you here, been following you for years. Congrats!!
Excellent ideas! Thank you Kurt!
Nicely done. Welcome to the team! btw, thanks about the quotes! I didn't know so when I had that use I created the format in a measure and add it in the format of the visual, under values. But this much better!
Awesome stuff Kurt!
I will definately come to this video again
Geweldige video. Ik vond je werk op data-goblins ook altijd zeer waardevol. Ik kijk uit naar je toekomstige video’s.
Heel erg bedankt! Ik kijk eruit om meer te kunnen maken en hoop dat ze je nog wat kunnen hulpen!
This was a really good explanation... The replacement part is still confusing, but I need to read the article also. I like Kurt's style.
Creative ending of the video LOL
I just wish the Time Formatting would be on par with Excel.
In Excel we have [tt]:mm, which is used by all Companies in the Service Sector; 'Yearly Working Hours' or 'Weekly Opening Hours' etc.
How brilliant. This is definitely SQLBI standard
Inspirational and a little over the top of my head at few places esp. DAX but that's what makes you guys unique
The depth which you cover on each topic unlike others
Nice and clear! Looking forward for more, Ciao 👈
display different units of measure is powerful!
Love the outtakes. :-)
Dax and dataviz techniques all at one place
Useful , thanks for sharing
Ciao kurt. Smile
Nice! Great explanation and super useful content!
Thanks for the explainer and I am sure your Italian will improve over time.🤣🤣
Ciao dall'Italia ;-)
Thanks.
Very usefull about Dynamic formatting.
I was looking something about this func.
Респект. Удачи в развитии.
Wow...Fantastic..❤
DAX Jesus has arrived 🙌

coool! thanks!
Would it be possible for you to do a video on the Optimization and performance implications of "Dynamic Formatting". I found that when I use dynamic formatting my performance slows. If I use selected measure in the format string is it calculating that twice in the engine? One time to display the results and one time to know the value to then use in the dynamic formatting? I also was wondering if there is a way to signal that the format string will be the exact same for every row. For example if I were doing a currency format string where I am looking at a disconnected table. If I select "Euro" then I know all the values will be in Euros. I don't need to evaluate the dynamic format string in each row of my table showing sales by product and is quite large. P.S. LOVED the ending of the video.
OMG. Am I in an alternate time line?
Ciao Friends
Awesome! Does custom formatting affect how the sorting of values is handled in e.g. tables?
No it doesn't 🙂
Who are you, and what did you do to Alberto and Marco?!
Kidding aside, thank you for the share :)
We forgot the presentation in the description, fixing now!

😂 21:08
Will it still work when you sort the order?
It still works. Dynamic format strings do not affect sort order.
😂Speaking DAX😂
