OH MY GOOOOOD, ABILITY TO WRITE AND ADD MULTIPLR MEASURES AT ONE PLACE IN THE SAME TIME, FROM POWER BI. AAAAND CHANGE COLOR OF SLICER. MY WORKLOAD WILL BE REDUCED BY 95%. THIS NEEDS CELEBRATION, THIS IS A NEW HOLYDAY
Great tutorial Marco ! I would like to add that tools like TE and DAX Studio will shine for enterprise models as you can use XMLA endpoints to query the semantic models from service and run your queries on the entire model vs running it on limited data in desktop.
I'm so glad Marco looks so happy😂 I've delivered Marco's message to Zoe and the team and I am sure there will be tons of new features to come out soon!
Very nice! As with the inline light bulb, MS could use icons next to the line numbers in front of MEASURE to update/add a single measure. And an icon in front of DEFINE to add/update all the measures. Also a right-click > pop-menu on those icons could provide an Undo feature and more.
very useful feature! I tried to format a measure with "," in the numbers yet DAX view didn't format accordingly, percentage too didn't work and as a feature when you click on a measure i DAX view it's better when you change to table view, model view and report view to be opened to the same measure (instead of doing a new search)
Yes, there should be Update model for all the measures. Imagine, you have 100+ measures and make a change with Replace command that affects a few dozens of them. You will have to Update model for every measure changed.
Hi, Thank you for sharing. Still I haven't used this feature, but just curious to know whether this works for remote models (with Live connection) ? And does this plan to have a code security too? After publishing, does this allow user to look/ run/edit the saved queries (not by editing the model in browser, which is available) but as dax query editor on fly to run against the model in which it's saved. Hopefully will see more features into it but still prefer dax studio for seasoned developer, as it's a matured product.
Very nice to hear about this feature, Great tutorial Sir, but If we are connected to tabular cubes with live connection, I don't see this option under visualization and model view, is it the same for everyone?
Hi sir, Your videos are so informative and very helpful to many people like me. Thank you so much for making such an awesome videos. Could you please do a video on org chart on power bi for HR data when there are 30+ employees involved in 4-5 levels. Please help.. I’ve been searching a lot on this and didn’t find any helpful article or video on this. Could you please do a video on this. This will be very helpful. Thank you!
20.00 totally agree! I would also need a sort button on each column returned by the query.
Please vote!

Seeing Marco struggle with the new UI should be enough evidence for Microsoft for rolling back this toggle crazyness for right-side panes :D
The horrible features
Then u r getting old
Finally they did it 😂
I forgot all the words except Wow! Thanks to the Power BI team for the feature. Thank you Marco for telling us about it in such detail :)
Kudos to all developer, who developed this amazing feature within PBI desktop.

hopefully they will include the DAX viewer with Live connections at some point!
Great explanation on day one of public release Marco, thank you!
I'm so glad Marco looks so happy😂 I've delivered Marco's message to Zoe and the team and I am sure there will be tons of new features to come out soon!
You cannot delete a measure with a DAX script in TE3 either, right?
Brilliant as usual , thanks Marco for unboxing this new DAX Query View
Thank you Marco... i loved your comparison of new dax editor to Dax studio.
Great Video, Marco, and great feature, too!
I still live in Stone-Age powerbi skill, got to learn this ASAP
Very nice!

So, PBI new features are promising, but we still need DAX Studio, which is a great tool!
This is a great feature, so many possibilities!

It is not currently supported for live connection, but if you enable the composite model (click on "Make changes to this model"...) then it works.
A very useful analysis. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge.
This is amazing. Great tutorial Marco.
Thanks for the video . For me it is the best update of this year.
You also first have to enable the powerbi model explorer and calculation group authoring
25:35 Nice!!!!!
Well done Marco! Clear like crystal
I missed the end music after the "enjoy DAX" :)
This is what happens when we publish a video too quickly! Thanks for noticing, too late to edit it, but we'll pay more attention in the future!!
Not to worry - I sung the outro music myself - out of habit! 🤣
@@SQLBI enjoyed the video anyway.
I am just used to thate music at end of all your videos.
Can't wait for your next videos. Keep it up!

Video is very good. I want to know what software do you use to capture the screem?
ZoomIt, it is a free tool: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/zoomit
Sir, how to display file name along with data.. While get data from csv file through power query
Great feature and great video. OT: your PC is so fast launching DAX Studio from Power BI! My I7 with 32 GB of RAM is a slug in comparison 😥
A very nice addition (but I think it should have come sooner).

As always,great unboxing..
Great explanation. Thanks.
fyi: can't do on push dataset. presumably can do only on xmla-accessible datasets?
Yes, only for composite models (which are not possible with push datasets).
Awesome feature
Amazing sir! Thank you.
Very exciting development
Where we can get the file to practice along
You can use any Power BI Desktop file - any article on www.sqlbi.com also uses a similar model (Contoso), download the sample file from any article.
Excellent video, too bad I came across this after 9 months.
also? OPENSOURCE A DAX PARSER
I'm impressed, sondrfully impressed 😊
Thanks!!
Excellent 🎉
Marco, you should sell DAX Studio to Microsoft before they copy all the features 😂😂😂
That’s what they are good at right? 😅
It is really wornderfull, can we have this dataset for practice
Every article on our website usually has a sample PBIX with data from Contoso - just download one of them!
www.sqlbi.com/articles/
excellent
I can export more than 30k records in DAX Studio 😜
