    20.00 totally agree! I would also need a sort button on each column returned by the query.

    Seeing Marco struggle with the new UI should be enough evidence for Microsoft for rolling back this toggle crazyness for right-side panes :D

    Great tutorial Marco ! I would like to add that tools like TE and DAX Studio will shine for enterprise models as you can use XMLA endpoints to query the semantic models from service and run your queries on the entire model vs running it on limited data in desktop.

    Very nice!
    As with the inline light bulb, MS could use icons next to the line numbers in front of MEASURE to update/add a single measure. And an icon in front of DEFINE to add/update all the measures. Also a right-click > pop-menu on those icons could provide an Undo feature and more.

  • @hichamoujamaa591
    @hichamoujamaa591 Год назад +1

    very useful feature! I tried to format a measure with "," in the numbers yet DAX view didn't format accordingly, percentage too didn't work and as a feature when you click on a measure i DAX view it's better when you change to table view, model view and report view to be opened to the same measure (instead of doing a new search)

  • @1yyymmmddd
    @1yyymmmddd Год назад +1

    Yes, there should be Update model for all the measures. Imagine, you have 100+ measures and make a change with Replace command that affects a few dozens of them. You will have to Update model for every measure changed.

    Hi,
    Thank you for sharing.
    Still I haven't used this feature, but just curious to know whether this works for remote models (with Live connection) ? And does this plan to have a code security too?
    After publishing, does this allow user to look/ run/edit the saved queries (not by editing the model in browser, which is available) but as dax query editor on fly to run against the model in which it's saved.
    Hopefully will see more features into it but still prefer dax studio for seasoned developer, as it's a matured product.

    Very nice to hear about this feature, Great tutorial Sir, but If we are connected to tabular cubes with live connection, I don't see this option under visualization and model view, is it the same for everyone?

    • @SQLBI
      @SQLBI  Год назад +1

      It is not currently supported for live connection, but if you enable the composite model (click on "Make changes to this model"...) then it works.
