Hi Carlos,
Thank you very much. I am glad you like the teaching in the video.
Have a great day.
When I ever go back to Walmart I'm getting the inflatable punching bag maybe someday I'll start practicing martial arts on it it's actually pretty nice and you do things like that to help you improve your martial arts training and practicing on your techniques and stuff three amazing and cool 😎👍
Thank you for your feedback, and comments!
Hi HereIsScott, I am glad you liked the video. I know, I wish it were not true either, but the sand at our local beaches is toxic. A few years ago one of my friends simply walked out to the beach here, and got some sand to fill his wall bag. He said, that after 3 weeks, it began to put off a terrible odor. He had to throw out the bag and the sand due to the smell, and the bags contents had high levels of industrial chemicals. He suspected it is from the Navy base that is right up the beach.
Great Video Sifu! I didn't know you had recorded a new one!
Hi Derek, thank you very much. I am glad you liked the video. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Hope to see you again soon.
Nice setup!
Thanks!
Hi meesha988, this is reply #2 of 2. Also, with canvas bags, be careful not to drag your knuckles down the surface of the wall bag. If you drag your knuckles down the bag after a punch, they will get chewed up quickly, and that will lead to your bleeding, and probably bleeding on the bag. This will delay your training, as you will need to heal your knuckles first, before wall bag training again. Do your best to not hit the bag too hard, or for too long at one time, as to make your knuckles bleed
Thank you
Hi meesha988, thank you for watching the video, and your questions. Yes, it is best to start with beans as a beginner, so you may slowly condition your hands. Slow, consistent training is best in the long run. Dry Mung beans are a top choice for wall bags, however, if you do not have access to Mung beans, then dry kidney beans, dry lima beans, or even dry black beans will suffice. With consistent practice, you can work your way to sand. I will post more in another message.
that was really kool I have the same length of the bag of the wa thank you and I am also b interested in your school to if you can send me more information
Hello Ricky campos, thank you for your comments. Also, I am glad that you have the same length wall bag as the one in the video. It is quite versatile for conditioning one's striking surfaces. A lot of information regarding Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu can be found on the official website, www.atlanticwarriors.org. The school is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Also, please feel free to ask any specific questions.

Thanks! Did you list the dimensions of the plywood and the types/size of bolts/screws you used somewhere?????
+basslinger Hello, thank you for your question. I did not list the dimensions of the plywood in the video. However, here are some guidelines to use. 1) Use 1/4", or 3/8" plywood thickness. 1/2" plywood will work of course, if you desire more energy absorption from the wall behind it. 2) Cut the width of the plywood to roughly 3 times the width of the wall bag that you purchase. The wall bag should be in the center of the plywood, and take up 1/3 of its surface horizontally. 3) Vertically, the plywood should be 12 inches longer than the wall being used. This will allow for 6" of plywood showing above the wall bag, and 6" showing below the wall bag when the bag is placed on the plywood.
+basslinger For the screws, I used thick, 1/4", or 1/2" lag screws that were 4" long. The wall bag is quite heavy when filled with sand, and needs to have some heavy duty anchoring into the wall studs. In some circumstances, I have used 5/8" lag screws. A triple wall bag filled with sanitized play sand can weigh from 30lbs to 50lbs. Steel shot, or stone can weigh even more.
Sir, thank you very much, much appreciated here.
basslinger You are most welcome sir.

Ok! I will. Thank you very much.
Hi SifuPetree my name is meesha988 and I have a wing chun canvas wall striking bag and I am a beginner and I want to no is it ok for me to fill up the wing chun canvas wall striking bag with sand to start with
Yes, it is okay, just do not hit the bag very hard. Traditionally, the wall bag is filled with dry mung beans as a first step. However, if taught properly, a student can safely develop with using sand as the first step.
