Sharing my Observations -
1. The scale of the PDF plotted has to be 1:1. PDFs printed at NOT TO SCALE poses multiple challenges to bring it to near 1:1
2. Every element is broken into fragments. so re-aligning and adjusting is as good as re-drafting.
3. Yes, it gives us good reference to redraft which is saviour in itself

Sir after import command enter then their file type is not showing as pdf in 2010 version so what can we do in that case

It may, you are using a lower version of AutoCad.

Ok so same thing happened to me. I got that same error. All I did to fix it was just drag the actual file from my desktop into AutoCad and it worked no problem.

@@fenixa2z936the problem is your pdf has to be a vector PDF, but not flat PDF which can be looked as an image.

It was not a problem with your version it's a problem of pdf file if that pdf file created in full adobe version it will be convert full adobe pdf convert PDF with AutoCAD layers...

After typing import the pdf files are not visible. Also there is simply an import icon but not for pdf. I'm using 2016 version. Is there any other way?

Don't type there is an option import...Open a new or existing drawing file. On the Application menu, choose Import → PDF.
Press enter
Browse to and select the desired PDF file using the file dialog box that has appeared.Cl ck Open. The Import PDF dialog box appears Click OK
