    I'm new to Mystery Snail💜s and had 3 and I wanted to know more to know more about them and came across your videos . I love your videos and love the new format too. I'm excited to start making Snello. I recently purchased 8 more Mystery Snails and upgraded them from 29 to 46 gallon tank. I’m glad you’re back! Your snail shell surgery video saved our girl! We found she couldn’t breathe underwater and was getting bubbles all the time from the hole in her shell after the collision with a rock in the tank. We did the egg shell surgery and 6 months later she is perfect still ❤️❤️ thank you so much 🫶🫶

    First of all, refollowing you again….thanks for being back.
    I have lots of money on making Snello in the past, Repashy etc and it always came out like crap. Huge waste of time, money, and energy….
    Got some agar at H-Mart, and spiraliana at the health food store. This is FANTASTIC. Hardest part was putting it into molds evenly because it was so hot. Left on the counter overnight. Popped right out.
    2 thoughts ideas to play with….
    1) have you ever dehydrated it? If so tell us how, I’m going to leave some out and just see if it dries well.
    2)I had a small amount that was put directly into a mold with a paper towel on top to soak up moisture. ( It was left over scrapping that didn’t get heated). Anyway 12 hours later not hard, but drier. I placed the mold directly in the microwave for a couple of minutes. After cooling it too popped out of mold. It was significantly lighter than the rest, it’s floating in top of the tank…and being eaten. Next time I might put in molds directly then heat them…snail hugging….😊.

    I'm glad you are back! I am someone new and I hope your home issues get resolved. I also hope you get back to breeding snails! I stumbled upon your channel right as I was looking for snails and then you had the dreaded infestation. I was so sad to hear about that. I am patiently waiting for you to possibly go back to breeding snails? I hope so anyway if it's something you enjoy.

    Your videos started my love of snails and now I have 1,000!!! I supply all my local pet stores and just started selling on eBay too! I just love watching them grow! Everyone I know is so sick of me talking about snails, they just don't get it! Please post more often I'd love a good tour of your tanks and frogs??? I was just considering some frogs but they don't move around much so I think snails might be little opportunists and start eating them!?!?

    Hi Lav, how much do you feed your snails? also what sponge filters do you recommend? I have a 46 gallon tank with a hang on the back and do 2 water changes a week. plus I have 12 mystery snails, betta, 6 Cory cats and one kuili loach, 6 neon tetra and 6 harlequin rasboras and wanted to know your recommendations. 💜

  • @gracelarsh6352

    I just found your channel, got my first tank a about 3 months ago after it cycled, I got 2 mystery snails and 2 shrimp. A few weeks later adopted a Betta, I have a planted tank and must have had a few ramshorn snails come in with the plants. My mystery snails have had 4 clutches, 2 were given away and I'm hatching the last 2. I'm cycling another 10 gal planted tank for them, my question (I don't want to breed) is can I separated the mystery snails so as I don't get more clutches putting one and the clutches in the new tank? Also, should I add some ramshorn in the new tank. I have so many questions, but I will start with these. I have purchased a lot of the items you suggested on your amazon video. Thanks in advance

  • @sststr
    @sststr 8 месяцев назад

    Regarding shrimp and snails, while there's no problem with mystery snails, I have discovered that Neocaridina shrimp will eat bladder snail eggs. I recently lost the last of my shrimp, but I had long kept bladder snails in their tank, and yet despite endless eggsacks being laid, no new bladder snail babies ever appeared in the tank. Since losing the last of my shrimp, there is an explosion of bladder snail babies in the tank. Since the only thing that changed is the loss of the shrimp, the only explanation can be that the shrimp eat the snail eggs. Since mystery snails lay their eggs out of the water, the shrimp can't eat those eggs, but for snails with eggs in water, be mindful that might be an issue.
