- The local LGBTQ community is mourning the loss of a local trans activist.
Mar'Quis Jackson, who is known as MJ, was killed last Wednesday.
Police say his body was found in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia. Investigators have ruled his death a homicide.

Tragic. A lot of community activist get murdered. Black people be highly upset when you get money and leave the hood. They want you to stay and help clean it up become an activist and share what you know. In any event this is usually what happens when you try to save a bunch of people who have no intentions on listening or wanting to be saved. You can just at the end only save yourself.

Why are you assuming they were killed for this issue? You don’t get to blindly assume discrimination when said act that happens also happens to OTHER PEOPLE. It’s terribly tragic and IF they were killed for this reason, the perpetrator(s) should be executed. The fact that they said trans in the title is dubious. Trans persons have a homicide rate of 0.000027% while Americans have 0.000075%.
