Johnas is a gentleman. He could easily have used the excuse he had a weakened team, but he praised the team . There is a long way to go and the high mountains of the third week can make a huge difference. This race is nowhere near over.

jonas zegt in het intervieuw dat hij nog kan winnen ik denk het persoonlijk niet ik vind de visma ploeg ook niet zo sterk vorig jaar konden ze het peloton hun wil opleggen dat is nu veel minder ik vind ook dat vingegaard te afwachtend rijd wil je deze pogacar kloppen dan moet je hem onder druk zetten je moet hem een lange inspanning laten doen daar ligt volgens mij de kans voor vingegaard trouwens vlak vingegaard niet uit ik heb hem al meer byzondere dingen zien doen maar met de achterstand die hij nu heeft gaat het wel zeer moeilijk worden ik wens hem veel succes jonas ❤❤❤

As a Pogi fan (I live in a town near his place of birth), I believe the tour is certainly not over. Pogi had at least one really bad day in two previous TDFs, when he lost several minutes to Jonas. If he manages to avoid a similar disaster this year, Jonas will probably finish second, which is still quite impressive considering his crash early in the season.
i think he is right that the tour is not over, but he does need to chip some time off before the final TT. But in that final TT he might have a TT like last year, so if he does he needs to take a minute off at least to have a chance with a super day on the final TT (and then also hope Pogacar doesnt have a super day). there are still 3 really hard mountain stages, so if Vingegaard would take on average 20 seconds in each of those he still has a chance in the TT. that is ofcourse if Pogacar doesnt have a really bad day like the last 2 years he always had at least 1 day.

vingegaard probably still the strongest on the climbs. the issue is that UAE is a LOT stronger than Visma this time. so how will he create the gap to Pog to win back time. Pog showed today that he is still around.
