Very informative video. Regarding teaching in Korea, almost all people who come to Korea to teach english are not trained teachers. They were only hired because they can speak english fluently. If you ever go to Itaewon where all the internationals go (including the ones that teach which is most) you can see they aren't the best and the brightest at what they do and would not get anywhere close to a teaching job in their home country.
Hi Helen! Thank you for this video. If you don’t mind, I just need a clarification for this program. 1. How long is the programme? How many semesters? 2. When you said you submitted the application a day before the deadline, when is usually the deadline? Is it end of 2020 or early 2021? Thank you so much! Love your videos💕
Each level lasts 10 weeks (200 hours) and there are four quarters each year (fall, spring, summer, winter). The winter 21/22 is already closed. If you want to apply for the next available quarter (spring 2022) the deadline is December 27th 2021 and the classes start March 7- May 13. They operate all levels each quarter so you can start whenever you like. Each year you can complete 4 levels so from 1-6 it will take you a year and half.
Hi Helen, thank you for the informative video :) I wonder if there's any age limits for the language program. Also, is the personal statement an important/deciding factor in the success of our application for a language course, just as it is in degree courses in universities? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

If I apply for dorms, would I be paired with a co-language program student? Or is it all mixed? I'm just worried I won't make friends of the same program. Especially if you're a languge student, you need to practice speaking a lot. If I would have an undergrad roommate, it would be disrespectful to disturb them sometimes. And another question, since it's all online classes still, was it hard to make friends? Based on your experience or observation from other's experience (since you might had friends who went there with you). Do you all get together outside of class to meet and get to know each other?
