I'm Korean😃 I enjoyed watching a video that popped up on my feed by chance. Thank you for loving Korean language studies😍 It might be challenging for foreigners to learn Korean for the first time. I believe it's most important not to just study from books but to watch videos and speak a lot😆😆😆
For a long time, people have asked me to make a video about the language programs/language schools I attended, and how I came to know these schools and how they helped my Korean, so I’ve finally sat down and made a video detailing bits and pieces of the previous years of my experience in language school. Also, if you yourself are interested in going to these kind of language schools or programs as well, I have details shared in the video of how to get started and where to look for more info! I put some links in the description of the video for some schools I believe in, so if you are interested, I hope you can take some time to take a look at those. If you have any questions about these schools or Korean Language learning, please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you with some help or my best advice! Let me know how you learn Korean now, and what your ideal way of learning Korean would be. I hope you enjoy the video, and thank you always for takin’ the time to watch. :-)
that’s great to hear! sometimes just the peak of interest can be what starts you on the track of fully learning a language, then finding yourself fully diving into language schools and buying flight tickets hahah it really is a great experience I recommend to anyone interested, it was a life-changer for me for sure
😮woww I love Korea and Japan but I think me as introvert it would be really hard to live maybe work or make friends or interact with sociaty there 😅 cuz I think Koreans are very introverts too 🥹 you Korean is so fluent!! 👍
@@이나윤-p5i yeah that’s for sure maybe I couldn’t see it as a tourist but I’m going back now for longer and I’ll see how is gonna be 🫢 maybe I’ll share my experience later ✌️
korean people are definitely very diverse, tons of introverts, extroverts, and people somewhere in the middle (like me hahah) but something great about korea as a country is there is a lot more facilities and options for introverted people to enjoy themselve in contrast to america (from my experience). lots of solo eating places, pc cafes, tons of hiking spots in the middle of the city, and a very walkable city at that! I lean more towards introverted and I find it great here, but extroverted people also love tons of things here too :-)
@@marlonaleister yeah probably I couldn’t see much in my first trip, I just had this weird sensation maybe the don’t like much tourists I felt an excluded feeling or maybe was just me being in an Asian country for the first time 😅? I was so aware all the time of behaving good fallow the rules don’t do anything disrespectful cuz they look very strict specially ppl over 40 Although they were Koreans that got out their way to help me which it was nice I always say “ their serious but they’re nice “ I love the states 🤣 I live close to the border I’m introvert but I love to go n see ppl having fun , hope I’ll get more of the Korean society and discover more soon !!
Im litearly 14, and i fall in love with the languege when i was like...13(i think) and so ever sence that, i've told my friend, lets go to korea to learn the languege and also to travel and see beautiful thing there like the culture and other stuff.... And so I have a friend whos like me and love the korean culture, she loves k-pop and k-dramas(like me) although im not very social, like she is... but any ways.... I love to go to a languege school to korea... and also i want to visit and maybe live there...😊 나는 한국을 사랑해요 😅
hello! sorry if this comment is long, I just have a few questions i’m 17 and live in texas and am planning on moving here. saw some of your other helpful vids some things i’m wondering about here is: -what visa do i need for the language school and going there to work -does yonsei do other majors like business, etc. -we are both men from america, to be a citizen we need to be there at least 5 years(unless married), so after that, we NEED to go to the military, right? how does it all work? sorry if i have a lot😅
Is it possible to only pay for one semester in advance and then when you finish it and decide wheather to complete and then pay for the next? in Yeonsei for example
hello thank you so much for this video! my question is I’ve always heard that Yonsei’s KLI does not focus on speaking skills as much compared to other schools and was wondering if that is true? I plan on attending hanyang next year but am open to try Yonsei as well :)
hey marlon! im planning on studying at kli yonsei next yr! i was wondering if i needed to stay at the student housing or if i cld just find my own place to stay for my first sem because i read somewhere online that foreigners supposedly shld be in the dorms? allsoo wondering if i need a certain gpa or like level to be accepted!! thank yuuu
But how are we going to success in level 1 if it is only in korean (Yonsei) ?😭 I am planning to apply for the KLI but the fact that it is only in korean is holding me really back. I understand that it is the best way but also in level 1? Because how am I supposed to understand the class or read the book if i cannot speak, read or understand any korean?🥲
Hi, I find your video really helpful. I have couple of questions and I hope you notice this on your convenient time. Do they require certain visa before you can enroll? Which season it's convenient to enroll??
I have, and that feels like it could be a whoooole video on it’s own, but to summarize, it’s really tough. The hardest portion for me was writing the first time I took it, then reading the second time. I asked other people that took those same tests, and they agreed with me; the tests always change and the difficulties shift from subject to subject so it’s hard to say what to “focus” on. In general, I didn’t have any TOPIK classes or books I used, just my own studying + language schools. Luckily, the language school tests are very similarly structured to TOPIK, so I had a slight advantage there. I’ve got soooo much more to say, but typin’ aint fun hahah maybe in another video :-)
So how does this work? Day 1 - You don’t understand a word of the language you’re studying. How do you even learn to ask questions or to say you don’t understand? There must be some study in English/Korean texts outside of class, right? Can’t ALL be immersion. Alphabet, basic phrases for clarity… even to register you need to know some Korean, right?
Theres a lot that goes into it, but it really is mostly immersion. Before level 1, there are classes to learn how to read Korean Hangul which is the alphabet, but that really doesn’t take a long time to learn. I was also surprised to see no English at all in my books, but really, that’s how it goes, and here I am speakin Korean comfortably! These schools have decades of practice and cirriculum building, they have a ton of success, look into them! It really is surprising and a great program to enroll in. :-) Also, you don’t need to know any Korean to apply; I knew no Korean when applying. Typically the language schools have representatives for bigger languages like English, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish in their enrollment staff to help with admissions and visa issues. :-)
please talk about how you work and make money in korea and also how you made money while you were learning the language!

Thank you❤. I am wanting to learn Korean, and earn money in Korea at the same time. Any agencies you recommend that can pair me?
Are there any open scholarships for the winter semester right now?
I have questions if i come there tourist visa.can i get admition in Korean language university. it is possible
Hi, I find your video really helpful. I have couple of questions and I hope you notice this on your convenient time.
Do they require certain visa before you can enroll?
Which season it's convenient to enroll??
So when you went here, did you have a visa going to Korea? Also did you do a major?
Can you skip level??? Example I can already speak, write but I wanna improve more in a classroom set up..
You can try the advance class
There will be a placement test and they will decide from there which level suits you
did you know any korean before going to school?
How about the domitory or where to say?
Great How old are you
Did you do a Topic test? Can you share your experience of preparing and making it?
