Since then it's been producing electric vehicles only. With six different vehicles being curntlly built, the VW ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, Audi Q4 e-tron and e-tron sportback and the Cupra Born.
With over 10,700 employees the plant has a capacity to built 270,000 vehicles per year.

In the U.S. there have been periodic power shortages the past few years, not enough power to meet demands on a questionable power grid. We are using natural gas coal to produce the power to charge the batteries. E cars & bikes may perform well, they have a greater impact on the environment & resources than internal combustion engines according to studies by Volvo & other car manufacturers.
E cars seem to present a whole new set of problems not an elegant solution.
