That was really interesting. You sure have a wealth of knowledge.
I think my favorite Kwok role is in Golden Arm. But my favorite Venoms movie would have to be the original 5 Deadly Venoms.
👊🏾😎👍🏼thanks for sharing
Kid With the Golden Arms was my first Kung Fu flick and it was instant love. I was just a kid but I wanted to grow up to become a drunken master. Turns out I would become a Tai Chi Pothead and my form is called Blunted Lifestyle. But it keeps me young, flexible and healthy.🙏🏼😇🙏🏾
WOW. Amazing. Thanks for sharing!!!
Phillip Kwok is my ABSOLUTE favorite Venom actor and, with out a doubt, one of my most beloved martial arts actor of all time! Thank you for his background! Invaluable to me!😂
Thank you for the wonderful comment. We appreciate you!!!
Phillip Kwon's Best:.. 1) Agent Hi To per " Kid with Golden Arm " .....2) Blind avenger in " Crippled Avengers " ...3) Lizard in " 5 Deadly venoms" ....4) the Cook in Masked Avengers ...5) as Lo Hsin in " Flag of Iron " ....thanks for sharing ...
Kwok is definitely my favorite of the Venoms, although it's a pretty close 3 way tie between him, Lo Meng, and Chiang Sheng. For me, it seemed like he could adapt to whatever fighting style was needed of him. Whether it involved direct hand to hand combat or weapons, I always appreciated the amount of variety and wit he had to offer in the movies he co-starred in. It's pretty tough for me to pick only one as my all time favorite performance from him in a kung-fu film, but I'm glad this list exists since it serves as a reminder of his greatness no matter which one people prefer. Great job giving him his flowers with this video, Dad! ❤✊
@@dragonking1103-s8o thanks son…appreciate the love ❤️
An interviewer asked Phillip Kwok (or Kuo Chui) did he learn martial arts while studying Taiwanese opera. His response: "I never learned Wushu (kung fu)." "I learned Northern Style...which is a combination of kicks, acrobatics, and juggling." "...I've only learnt real martial arts on the movie set of people like Lau Kar-Leung and Leung Ting. " I can pick up any style just by watching it for a few minutes." Phillip said: "..., he (Chiang Sheng) was my best friend during our time at Shaw Brothers...we could do two man fighting routines with over 200 moves in them." Chiang and Lu Feng worked good together as well, because they are classmates of their respective opera school. "We were highly skilled and had good teamwork..." Therefore, there was "no major injuries when using fighting sticks and various bladed weapons." At one point Phillip "and Lu Feng fell out. It was over who would be the main choreographer on Two Champions of Shaolin (1980). I got so mad that I didn't appear in the picture." Of course, they reconciled later. Phillip's favorite film is Shaolin Rescuers (1979). My favorite film is The Five Venoms (1978).
I don't know what my favorite Kwok movie is, but Crippled Avengers is probably my favorite Venom Mob flick. I'm working on a PC reboot of it called Differently Abled Retaliators. I think the real question here is which hair style is Philip Kwok's best? I'm voting for that curl in the beginning! 🤣 Legendary hairdo for a legendary dude!
PC? you mean a PC game?
@@NilsonSeiza Nah, I meant politically correct. I was just making a joke about how language has changed over the years.
Phillip kwok is my #1 favorite venom of all time. Now 2024 and 2025 I'll continue to watch. He's in beast mode in Masked Avengers, Legend of the fox, Flag of iron, Crippled Avengers, Spearman of death, Ten tiger's of kwantung, Brave archer, Ode to Gallantry, House of traps Life Gamble and many more.
@@maliknexus all legendary films. Thanks for the comment. Stop by our livestream this Monday evening 👍🏾
This is pure gold. THIS is why I love this channel. 🙏
@@azlaroc12 Thank you so much fam! Love ya back! 👊🏾🙏🏾🔥💯
Kwok (Kuo Chui) was amazing to watch. When Kwok, Chiang Shien, and Lu Feng were working together, it was a martial arts feast for the eyes. I'm not going to lie though, sometimes Kwok's physique was a bit distracting, in a good way. Those beige pants in the Masked Avengers? Holy smokes!
Bro, this was a real treat for me as I've always considered Kuo Chui one of the greatest martial artists of all time!
He always looked graceful, natural, effortless and made all his moves look easy!
Now I have a question for you. How lucky are we that we were able to witness such greatness growing up?
I get goose bumps just knowing that I watched almost every martial arts film that was released in the US back then on the big screen with other Martial Arts enthusiasts!
It's a completely different experience than watching it at home which I still love to do.
As for a top 5? You're killing me Bro! 😂 😁 😀
Can't do it!
Too many incredible performances by Kuo Chui! I would have to leave out some great ones.
But.....since you're pulling my leg, I'll put a list of the first five I ever saw!

1. Kid with the Golden Arm
2. Crippled Avengers
3. Spearman of Death aka Flag of Iron
4. Ten Tigers of Kwangtung
5. 4 Assassins aka Marco Polo

@@tonyrobles9070 dude. I am so appreciative that I got to experience these movies as a young man but I’m equally appreciative that I get to re-live these movies with the likes of you. It has been such a pleasure chopping it up with you and others. I will never forget this experience 🙏🏾💯🔥👊🏾
Without Philip Kwok,… there wouldn’t have been "Brotherhood of the Wolves 🐺 ", one of my all time favorite international motion pictures featuring Mark Dacascos ….
Great Choices Bro, I would add Killer Army and Hard Boiled as well. Some of my All Time Favs.... Salute 🥋🐲👊🐉👍☯️‼️‼️‼️

I know my no pick might be surprising, but that was the first Venoms movie I saw as a kid, so it has a special place in my heart.
@@SBTafarijah I’m surprised you didn’t put Masked Avengers….You see, everyone has different tastes. We have to respect each other’s opinions. Movies are all subjective…fist and palm salute fam. Goodnight 🙏🏾
@@LWAC71 You are right of course. Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to disrespect your opinion. By the way, Masked Avengers is a great one. I have to admit, it was hard to left if off. Blessings
@@SBTafarijah thank you for this my bro! I really appreciate it! You are most welcome here!!!!!! 😀
Philip Kwok is my son's favourite and would be my number 2. Personally I love Lo Mang.

É este filme que tem o cego o surdo e mudo e o docinho é que tem as pernas de ferro eu gostaria de ver este filme por completo e dublado
Não sei se o nome dele é combate mortal filme de kung-fu .
Mortal Combat or Crippled Avengers
Does anybody know the name of a kung fu movie where 1 fighter is being trained the iron palm technique, another is being trained to jump high, another is being trained to be strong, and the last fighter is being trained to be invincible?
Shaolin Temple?
