I mean is not like he speacks so much, I feel that, I used to work at a guitar shop and in promo videos an in store I use to talk a lot of nerdy stuff about gear (that's why they always looked at me to make promos), but I just keeep talking and taking and not playing the pedal, so I feel identificated haha, still wanna make my pedal guitar channel, in my country there is no videos about that (in spanish) and people use to use facebook groups to ask or look for references for a pedal they look for
Don't care for other comments, thanks to the mate who shared the start time. Great video by the way, the script phasing is just sweet spot perfect for most applications with other instruments. I also own a 10 stage PH-2, which can go from subtle to spacecraft Incubus Science sound, but it doesnt seem to have the same swirl. Wanna try them side by side. And then there's the small stone....
The Phase 99 in stereo is AMAZING. Run it into a delay with stereo ins/outs into two amps for the grooviest swirling tone you'd ever get from a phaser. It really feels like the room is moving around you. Very leslie like but without the weird midrange thing that leslies have.
@@oldguyjammin9732 Hmm, not really to be honest. MXR Phasers kinda all sound the same in essence. They just have different types of movement really. But all of them are just swirly midrange heavy phasers. If you have a stereo setup, then the 99 will definitely give you a leslie/univibe sound along with a phaser sound. But with a regular mono setup, I actually prefer the 100 because it has a pretty big range of phasing. As far as a single pedal that can so both flanging and phasing, I would actually look more at flangers to begin with. Some of them can definitely get a phaser tone. I personally use a big ol hunkin Ibanez FL99. That pedal can definitely get a phaser tone. It's amazing. The ADA PBF Flanger can do it too. I would definitely look into the Boss BF3. If you don't like the type of filtering it does in that pseudo-phase mode, then maybe check out the Alexander Wavelength, the Source Audio stuff, or even the Southampton Utility Knife.
There's a pedal world somewhere. So far we know 2 things about it: * this guy is there, * people there say "they don't make em like they used to" all the time
"Does anyone actually use batteries any more?" 30 seconds later... "If you hear noise, we are just having some power issues here...". I dont use batteries either, but that is one good reason to use batteries lol.
I know there are slight differences but the Phase 95 is close enough for the price, you couldn't buy the three of them for less than £100 & I doubt the audience are going to know.
12:40. The script 90 version you have (with the led and 9v) is Surface Mount just like the Phase 95 I believe. Only the custom shop ‘74 Reissue is through-hole.
The waffle stops at 7:56 and the Script 90 pedal demo starts from this point. The Phase 100 introduction starts around 18:08 Better pedal research and video editing could have condensed this useful comparison down to 5 mins which would have been really helpful.
Great video - really helpful. I don't know why MXR need to make so many phase pedals, but this helps to narrow your choice. I think the mini is the most useful for me :-) Good to see you rocking the Victory amps too :-) :-) :-)
Ah jeez man that's a lot of pressure. Uh how about the boss DD-7, TC ND-1,Flashback II, Fender Mirror Image, and like, a kimodo dragon you've taught to play a dotted eight after you?
I am not happy with this comparison for the speed on the 95 is clearly lower than on both Phase 90. I mean there is just one knob; how hard is it to dial in the same speed...? ;o)
If you're going to preface a comparison video with info, it's usually more effective to do so in a format that is not conversational. Graphics, background music, concise and scripted monologue. Other than that, great comparison, very helpful, and I'm picking up a Phase 95 based off of this video and its info. So thanks a lot!
I ordered a Phase 100 and I hope I made the right choice, I wanted the 90 tone but with more options to chose from, so I hope there is a setting that does the 90's tone
Them battery people same as the Klon and Dumbbell folk, they aren't real guitar players. They don't play the thing, they just stare at it, like some weird shrine.
You picked up a lot of heat for chatting, but you got it done even if it could be crisper. To me talking about what you hear helps when listening through an iPad, even though I put the studio phones on. Its the way it sounds in the room and effects your fingers that we need to know.
All of those phasers are 4-stage phasers. MXR does make a 2-stage phaser, the phase 45, but you don't have that one there. The difference between the 'block logo' and the 'script logo' is that the block one has an extra feedback circuit feeding back into the output to accentuate the phasing sound. The 'script' does not have this feedback loop and sounds more like a Small Stone with the 'color' switch set to the more subtle setting.
fuck me this guy is huge. also why do so many pedal testers on youtube not tune before whacking a pedal on like fucking hell come on how can you be okay with sounding like shit

Thanks. That help.
so much needless talking

This demo, very important to know the difference. Helps when you run across one and know what it sounds like. Potential purchase! Thanks
Very helpfull review. Don't bother those who didn't like you talk. You've put your time to make an honest and deep intake. Thanks!
The original 90 and the 100. My favorite. Thanks.

Hey Felix! Any one of these win the prize for versatility? Phase to Jet Flanger?

@@djc5897 Body shaming is rude, mate. Neither funny nor cool. Tells a lot about you, instead of the subject.
I know Im pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released series online ?
@Grayson Elijah Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!!
@Jacoby Sean glad I could help :D
The phase 90 is actually a 4 stage phaser. The phase 45 is the 2 stage phaser.
thanks

Less talky, more playey.. 😨
Jesus! What’s up with you talking for almost 10 minutes?!
i sat trough it for 5 mins with out noticing
@@febeomnibeepboop6367 same. 😂
Try an Original ‘75 Phase 45 Script.
More subtle.
Best IMO. Closest to an Always On pedal I’ve played. Thanks for the info 🤙🤙

I scrolled throughout the video and stopped every 30 seconds or so and didn’t hear any guitar lol
Hallelujah... Phase the Lord!

Get the Phase 95 and call it a day.
If I wasn't all phasered up that's what I'd do.
I know the only damn I found online of all the mxr phasers too much talk but I got through it

Just wanted to say you seem like a cool guy and thanks fly the vid!
The phase 90 script sounds like it has a little less attack. Great vid!
little less conversation little more action
The expression is "to each his own". Pretty common expression, easily constructed, no trick to it.
Thanks for making the vid. Is there any chance you could compare some all-around delays like the obscura and flashback?
Ah jeez man that's a lot of pressure. Uh how about the boss DD-7, TC ND-1,Flashback II, Fender Mirror Image, and like, a kimodo dragon you've taught to play a dotted eight after you?
Cool a delay shootout would be cool and could you use a ghost echo V3 from earthquaker vs boss dd7 vs flashback vs memory man vs line 6 dl4?
Is the 100 = 95 ?
Slaggin' on batt users before even getting to the demo?
Which of these would be best for bass guitar??
Will Jackson the 95
I'm just looking for a MXR Phase with a mix / blend control. WTF does one exist? Seems like such a no-brainer.
Come back Seth!

Phase 95 10:02
Getting paid by the hour? Geez! Flap, flap, flap!
The block logo phase 90 has more feedback in the circuit, that's why it sounds more prominent.
Name one artist today that's platinum who currently uses a Dumbbell and a Klon in their set. Have fun lookin that up.
A lot ! but for sessions studio

I think you're going to really like it. I've always preferred the 100 to the 45 or 90.
@@praketingrichraft6181 I went with the 90, cause it takes up less space on my board, and its basically he same size as my other MXR's and DOD pedals

19:31 intro to "At The Movies"?
Phase 90 with R28 mod is fine.
8 long useless minutes before anything happens... i don't get it. why some people still does this kind of reviews?
