Great, GREAT workout … very challenging & equally rewarding … during the last and most challenging set 28-32, i was telling myself “i’m doing it” each row! thx Shane
I was thinking, "my butt hurts" & then once we started again, "the handle feels lighter, Shane reminds me lats & abs even if he doesn't say it." Great workout! Sucked a little more after the 10 minute build, but it was worth it 😁🖤🐴
Thanks Mr Farmer, Feeling bombastic after this is definitely much needed in the grey English weather. As for just before the last round, my thought is usually LETS GET THIS DONE!
Rowvember Week 3 - love it! Still there and so far successfully following each and every workout. I really enjoyed every day of week 2. This was a wonderful collection. "Going big" was the longest piece I did in one go so far (just started about two months ago). This one and some of the others had so much of Your last video in it - self awareness and - even more - self reflection are so important if You want to succeed in workouts like these. Finding and mantaining a pace that is challenging on the one hand and doable for the entire workout on the other hand requires exactely this. Know and be realistic about Your strenghts and weaknesses and constantly loop back while You're at it. Where am I?, Am I good?, What else might come in the way? .... Thanks Shane!
Loving Rowvember! Low/High was a real trial! Saw an HR I haven’t seen in a while and dropped a boatload of water weight. Might have started a little too hard. 😮💨 This one is going into the regular cycle. Thanks for Rowvember, been a great transition from cycling season to the “Holiday Challenge”.
Thanks Shane! To answer your question after the second to last round, I thought…..”just did 7 rounds, I think I muster 2 more minutes of give’m hell”. 2 minutes later hell had been given 😉
Today it clicked. Started pushing through my glutes and its a game changer. Still working on the motion but wow, mindblown on the workout difference after learning this. Thanks for doing what you do.
Nov. 3, 2023 My first Rowvember!🎉 As a beginner, I am struggling a bit with just the instructions on the app, so am also utilizing past you tube videos! Thank you Coach Shane! 🎉
Nasty! 32 at the end. Wowser. I haven't done many of your workouts with a 32. Nice change. All those slow workouts paid off though. Power. Prepping for Rowvember 2022🏖
Got my new waterrower. Second workout in the books from your site. Really enjoyed this one. Getting the hang of strokes per minute. Now concentrating on pushing harder with the legs. My cardio is good and oddly, for me, this is like meditation. The sound of the seating going back and forth. The swirling water. And focusing on technique. 30 minutes just flies by. Loving it. Thanks so much for putting these up. ❤
3/30/2023 My thoughts during the 2nd to last round? "I SO want to experience this on water one day, and maybe even as part of a team!!!" (age 57) Thank you Coach Shane 🎉
Loved this workout! The video seemed off to me (anyone else)? When I would meet you at the catch my SPMs on my Concept to were always lower than yours by a few beats? This was good though because it made me focus on the SPM readings on my machine and the RowErg app. Thanks Shane!
6/15/2023 So glad to be back after a month of moving to a different home then a couple weeks out of town. Oof! I can tell I have lost some strength etc! Thank you Coach Shane 🎉
That second to last set was definitely a rough one to get past mentally! Knowing we had another 2832 coming up I was intimidated it wasn't sure how I'd pushed through. Just knew that I had to breathe out deeply to get that fresh oxygen and make sure to keep my posture and form and good shape! That was an awesome brutal workout for 24 minutes! Thank you
wanted to quit before the last round but kept at it against my better judgement! couldnt quite keep up at 32spm. topped out at 30-31 for that final minute. maybe next time....
That workout was really cool , that was the first taste of a 1:45 split pace on the last hi low with 32 ..even though it was just a minute it gave me an idea for the 2000 meters in 7 minutes ....I got a concept 2 about 4 months ago ...I have a goal of rowing 1 million meters that session put me up to 297,000 meters in .
First few days on my new rower and I somehow did it! The breathing and closing eyes and focus on what I want helped tremendously. Fourth quarter zoomed through! Incredible session, you've got a new sub from another "big thigher" 👌🏾👌🏾
Stupid stroke rate, ugh always struggle, I was in a pinch of time, so I only rested 10 seconds between stroke rates. That last set killed me. Nice workout.
Hey Sean, I really like this work out at the end of seven of eight. I was thinking why are you only done seven I’m sure you can do one more set. So thanks for the great workout.
“I love hills” what a perfect mantra for this workout especially SR 30 & 32. It’s also a superb mantra for the challenges in life 😅. Thanks tons Shane!
We like hills, Daddy! They mean it's GROW time! (Go+Row=Grow!) What I was thinking for the first 10 seconds of the last break was "thank g--, I can breathe!", followed by 5 sec of reset, followed by 45 sec of "Last set, Best set!" Because here's the heart of the Dark Horse mindset for ME: IT'S ALL HARD. Every stroke of every workout is a fight that I've won, and I'm feeling like these victories are extending into other areas of my life, because those are all hard too. Thanks so much for leading the way, Shane! I'll see you at the next catch!
Shane, only my fourth row in a year. Life throws hills and sometimes the valley holds you. But I’m back at it. I knew that I was going to crush the final set because you made sure my breathing aligned to the effort and I followed your instructions and went easy to the transition. I feel glorious and know that we could do another set starting at 24-28 and I would make it. Thank you for always encouraging.
Shane, and Rowvembermembers 🙂 This is to Day 16 "Deception" (15 secs hard / 15 secs easy) which just came in. I have not tried it yet, but I'm quite sure I will struggle with the change every 15secs constantly watching the monitor, hunting seconds. 26spm / 28spm would be 6.5 to 7 strokes in 15 secs and 22spm / 20spm would be 5.5 to 5. So I think, I'd hit the target quite well if instead of 15s hard/15s easy I'd row seven strokes hard and fast followed by 5 strokes easy and slow. To me that seams to be easier to handle than to follow the clock. What do You think? Regards Frank
Finishing this in February, just about half a month into rowing and I love this channel, I’m not new to endurance sports, though this one had me sweating like crazy and in the zone. Still getting used to stroke rate and following along makes that sooo much easier.
Can you recommend a water bottler holder mount for the concept2 rower? I saw a video where you had it mounted to your rower but I can’t seem to find it. Can you tell me where to get that mount? Really enjoy your tips on form. I paid someone to give me lessons on my form but I think I learned more from your techniques and drills than her. I have been rowing (incorrectly probably) for about 15 years with my CrossFit workouts! Last year I decided it was time to learn how to do it right! thank you!
Before last set, was thinking “not sure how to slide back in time to match your catch at these high rates”- maybe i lean back too far - find I have a hard time doing the recover stage quickly enough
nice workout- I gotta admit there is a fair bit of laying on the floor after a session on the machine- My line as we get to the final round- You have gone this far, now is not the time to choke!
Found your series when I bought a water-rowing machine a year ago. I’ve been doing your workouts at least three times a week…THIS one is my favorite. Closes the rings…breaks a good sweat…and leaves you feeling worked! 70 lbs lost so far…but a ton of tone, because your videos. Thanks so much!
This is one of your best videos, it really pushes my buttons 👍😉
Thanks!
I loved this one! Went a longer distance than I ever have! It’s 5 AM and I am ready to get to work and run for the next 12 hours. Thanks!
Wow this one was crazzzzzy. I feel accomplished. Haven't missed a day yet!!!!! Thanks Shane and way to go EVERYONE!
Rule 😊😊😊😊

15 done . 1\2 way y’all
32=WOWZER
Member of the Thic Thighs club right here. Thanks for another great workout.

Great workout-fun! Thanks, Shane. Yes I’m a day late but have been traveling. Back now and glad. Loving Rowvember!

I was thinking "He must be joking!" 32 was definitely hard to keep up with. ❤️ #rowvember

Shane. After 30 times the consistency training (5 weeks) this was a good one. The joy of 1 minute of 32s is a blast. Beast mode unlocked! 💪

I nearly gave up before the last round but your motivation chat kept me there! Thank you as always ❤
1/13/2023 This one is great ~ thank you for making me laugh out loud after a tough day 👏🏼 and thanks for helping me sweat off some of the stress, too!
wanted to quit before the last round but kept at it against my better judgement! couldnt quite keep up at 32spm. topped out at 30-31 for that final minute. maybe next time....
What was I thinking when we started the last set?...... Would an avacado 🥑 work as a paperweight?
Also, big thighs! They make a row boat.
Another great workout - loved the unpredictability of stroke rates.
Also: kudos on the animations of stroke rate - nice.

Good workout. I ded. I didn’t fall to the floor but certainly crawled off my rower and flopped like a fish.
Hey Sean, I really like this work out at the end of seven of eight. I was thinking why are you only done seven I’m sure you can do one more set. So thanks for the great workout.
Awesome workout, I’m an old newbie, and I love it. Thank you Shane
I just found Dark Horse so, for me, this is FebROWary instead of rowvember!
Awesome workout…..last 2 min were cruel!!….Be a Dark Horse!!…yeah!!
A challenge to conquer... Why can't I get to 30 and 32 with a steady pace? 🤔
How I felt? Like my buttocks we're detach if I stood up :) literally
How I felt? Like my buttocks we're detach if I stood up :) literally
Want to know what I was thinking that last set?
"F*@$** Shane Farmer and the horse legs he rowed in on.
5.9km including cooldown, is that any good??? felt tough
“I love hills” what a perfect mantra for this workout especially SR 30 & 32. It’s also a superb mantra for the challenges in life 😅. Thanks tons Shane!
Thanks for the motivation Shane! Couldn’t have done this workout without you. Last half was brutal cadence.
We love hills!!! Those are my thoughts for the last round :-)
Great workout! Looking forward to next Rowvember!
Another great motivating workout! Keep on going Shane!
Hey! Thanks Coach Shane! 🎉 2/9/2023
If you breathe out you don't have to be reminded to breathe in
This is one of your best videos! The end is the key! 😉👍
Best one yet! Thanks for all.the great content.
Are there other row along you tube videos from Rovember ? (other than the other 2)
They are the first Monday of each week of Rowvember, so you’ve found them all so far. I agree, the row alongs are a ton of fun.
@@ddowns509 ahh... so there's not a row along video for every day of the month
Great Workout, thank you so much....
I hit my vigorous heart rate

My first thought was “oh shit, 32?” But then “tighten the gut, push, lock elbows” got me through. New fav workout. Thanks Shane!
#rovember
I felt great and ready for more after the second last set! I love the tip on breathing out. That really helps. Thanks for a great workout!
Before last set, was thinking “not sure how to slide back in time to match your catch at these high rates”- maybe i lean back too far - find I have a hard time doing the recover stage quickly enough
Yes I'm thick
i love rovember i hope for a rowdecember since i follow you i have a goal every time to move on keep it up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How do I sign up ?
Thanks Shane!
nice workout- I gotta admit there is a fair bit of laying on the floor after a session on the machine- My line as we get to the final round- You have gone this far, now is not the time to choke!
That was the best!! Loved it! At the end of the 2nd last round, the only thought was I got this!
Feel sick y ?
Thanks!
#rowvember
I was thinking "welcome to the grind". It's been a great rowvember. Thank you.
I am listening to this at work. Seems foolish but it gets me pumped to do the workout this afternoon!!
Way to go everyone!!!
Great job! That’s amazing to hear
Wow! Challenging for sure! Thanks for pushing us!
Loved it! Wanted to quit near the end but you kept me going!
Thanks a ton Shane!
