Wow I was at these exact spots back in 2009 so I definitely need to make a return in the near future. I hope one of these days you can do a fall leaves tour of Michigan, Wisconsin and even parts of Canada. Would make for an awesome series!!
I’ve watched all of your videos Robert, you’re so truly inspiring. You’ve made me realize why life is worth living. Thanks for showing me and your followers all of the beauty in the world ❤️❤️
Morning, always wanted to go to Michigan. It's beautiful! Can't believe you walked two miles in beach sand for us! Thanks Robert. Not to mention you had to walk back 😢
Loved the sand dune hike video. It is very tiring to hike in the sand. The aqua blue water reminds me of Bear Lake on the border of Utah and Idaho. If you get to Kanab, Utah again go to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. They are stunning, and some really strange round rocks are all over.
If you ever make it to south manitou island there is a gorgeous, and a little bit scary, lighthouse you can climb! Love your videos, so fun to see you visit an area that I’ve been going to my whole life. Hope to catch you on the road someday!
“Michigan the Beautiful”. Who knew? There is nothing more satisfying than virtually exploring warm, sunny and beautiful places during the wet and cold months of winter. It’s especially fun to see such pretty and hidden little towns for the first time. Thank you for keeping things fun and interesting… a great episode to go with a slow Sunday morning, and a hot cuppa coffee. Loved it!
Thank you so much Robert for bringing us every week those really beautiful landscapes and villages from the States. Definitely, Michigan is one of those hidden gems, at least for the European eyes like mine. Whenever I think about USA and roadtrips always comes to my mind the typical ones such as Grand Canyon, the west coast, Florida keys, etc. But Michigan really looks to deserve a good visit too! Love it!!! Btw, that fabada looks delicious 😋
I live only a few miles from the places in this video. I love it here. It is beautiful here in all of the season. I am thankful to live here. Nice video.
I live in Traverse City and love Leelanau County which starts one mile from my home, but you definitely went during peak season. I did the dune walk (strenuous it is )and didn’t see one person, but you will on peak times. Thanks for visiting
Hello Traveling Robert. My son and i have visited Northern Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. What an Awesome place to check out. And...those steep dunes...Amazing!
Excellent video! We really enjoyed your travel blogs. We were in the UP in September and had a blast on Lake Superior. Lake Michigan is a lot cleaner since the zebra mussels have come and gone. It's a lot cleaner than I remember as a child. Safe travels!
A very pleasant area there. Yep walking in the sand is tough, but walking in the snow we have now where I live is even more challenging. Takes lots of energy and we freeze our a*.....well you get the idea. continued safe travels...looking forward to following the rest of your trip.
That was a good hike Robert...thanks! lol I've started working out w/my fave youtubers to help get in more movement while I'm stuck at home over the next month...found out my license is suspended and my tags are due (it was a big mixup in my head and a speeding ticket I couldn't pay!) so van life is now put off yet again! smdh...thanks for keeping my spirits up!
We missed seeing you by about two months, Robert! We spent over a month in Michigan, mostly in the upper peninsula, but there were some cool places in the mitten too. Frankenmuth was fun, and the area around Sleeping Bear Dunes is lovely. We'd love to see you in person one day!
Aw, Robert, you hiked all that way and didn't even dip a toe in the lake? At least you got a good workout 🙂 As always I love the 360 camera fisheye effect. Happy trails!
No side of the road cherry stands? One of the best things about Michigan in the summer time! Acadia Preserve in Empire has some of the best dune hiking.
I am born and raised in Michigan and have been to the dunes many times and I've never finished that hike through the dunes to the lake! Walking in that sand is brutal
I love lighthouses. I have seen a lot of videos of people visiting Michigan lately, I want to check the UP and Mackinak Island in the future. Hopefully bring the family with me as well.
Wow, it really is beautiful there in Michigan. I’m a southerner never been up that far north but I know one thing I wouldn’t want to be there in the winter
RVing for the Weekend here. next going into Georgia check out FDR State Park Campground and if have not yet visited The Little White House in Warm Springs Ga.
The state has good funding but not the cities... It is the worst, and i used to be a courier in Miami, driven coast to coast many times, driven to oregon coast to coast.. Illinois and Michigan has bad funding for most in-town smaller roads. It was on my ballot actually to add to property taxes, sheesh its a joke and i live a block from the (county) repair building, 12 potholes in 1 block
@@dertythegrower that's crazy! I live in Ohio and our roads are pretty decent for the most part. We just came though WV and their roads need help especially on 64 south of Charleston WV and it's a toll road
What is that wrist watch that reports location & blood pressure? I grew up a 1 1/2 mile from sand dunes like that in Indiana, before it was any kind of park. Climbing the dunes didn't seem so hard as a kid. Now just watching makes me sweat
I see you like lighthouses let me guide you to one Grand Haven Grand Haven also has what they call musical fountains a free show in the summer I don't believe in RV friendly though
@tracylownsberry9067 I was referring to the downtown area itself if he wanted to pull over and park with a trailer I don't think he's got room for that but if there is parking like that let him know
Hey Robert, I'm 57 years old so not eligible for medicare yet. I'm curious, what do you do for health insurance. I want to travel the United States like you but would't have health insurance if I quit my job. Any advice?
No offense, but its wintertime and all these summer travel video's are just not thrilling me. I know it takes time to edit and all , but can't you throw in a more "seasonal" one once in awhile?
I'm glad you turned around to show us the statue, a cool piece of Americana.
Wow I was at these exact spots back in 2009 so I definitely need to make a return in the near future. I hope one of these days you can do a fall leaves tour of Michigan, Wisconsin and even parts of Canada. Would make for an awesome series!!
We’ve been so busy lately…it was nice to reconnect with your videos. It’s amazing how your work has inspired us to visit 43 states. Thank you!
Congratulations, only seven to go. Thank you!
I’ve watched all of your videos Robert, you’re so truly inspiring. You’ve made me realize why life is worth living. Thanks for showing me and your followers all of the beauty in the world ❤️❤️

Thank you for the Michigan most don't ever see. Just love it.
Thank you for the hike and “taking one” for all of us who can’t 👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧🥰
or don't want to lol
Finally a video where you’ve been to places I’ve been. Sleeping Bear and Leeland are my favorite places

Wow. That was some hike. Good job. Michigan is really so Beautiful ❤
Yaaay! My home state! ❤️ Michigan and GO LIONS❤
They're finally doing good this year. Go Lions!
we've been loyal for soooo long haha
Robert, for showing off my home state of Michigan. I've been to the upper part of the Lower Peninsula many times and absolutely love ❤️ it.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to next week's show.

Water 💧 looks so crystal clear...great video 📹 👍!

Wow, beautiful but, what a work out ❤
This is one of my favorite areas of the country!
Beautiful place, spectacular scenery, excellent video. Thanks Robert
I love whitefish whether it's fried, smoked, dip, or pate. It's a nice mild fish that's abundant in Michigan.
I miss summer already 😅😍
And that slinky stove invention is awesome!
Michigan is such a beautiful state! Thanks for the tad along.
Thanks for sharing Robert. We want to visit Michigan and this gave us quite a few points of interest to check out.
Seems as tho every creator has gone to the UP, MI and Alaska this year. Not complaining, liking it.
Thank you
Mr. Robert you are a most enjoyable geographical nerd...🍻👍
I am tired just watching this. Rofl! Thanks Robert!❤
Excellent video! We really enjoyed your travel blogs. We were in the UP in September and had a blast on Lake Superior. Lake Michigan is a lot cleaner since the zebra mussels have come and gone. It's a lot cleaner than I remember as a child. Safe travels!
Nice way to end it with a wine flight! A white fish sando and a Two hearted sound fantastic right about now!
A very pleasant area there. Yep walking in the sand is tough, but walking in the snow we have now where I live is even more challenging. Takes lots of energy and we freeze our a*.....well you get the idea. continued safe travels...looking forward to following the rest of your trip.

Ah, summer in Michigan, it looks so nice!
Finding Jesus! ❤ I love you Robert Morales ❤️

I luv the Great Lakes region and apparently Canada does too...thanks for showing it.
Living in the Grand Rapids area - our Minnie Winnie seldom leaves the state. So many pleasant places to visit on our peninsula’s
That sandwich place is very good
We are blessed to live in a beautiful state! Sleeping Bear dunes is only about one hour from me.
Beautiful video! Thank you for sharing.
Go there every summer! 👍
Damn Robert that was some walk through the sand. Glad you did it for me. Now I know I don’t want to do that hike.
I am born and raised in Michigan and have been to the dunes many times and I've never finished that hike through the dunes to the lake! Walking in that sand is brutal
God made all this " Stuff for us!" Thank you for all your Videos! I'm 5 years older than you
❤ Michigan!
Sand . . Great workout for your "weak" ankles! Make you strong-like-a-bull! :)
I love lighthouses. I have seen a lot of videos of people visiting Michigan lately, I want to check the UP and Mackinak Island in the future. Hopefully bring the family with me as well.
Should of stopped at Silver Lake, they have rides over the dunes. 👍😊
Wow, it really is beautiful there in Michigan. I’m a southerner never been up that far north but I know one thing I wouldn’t want to be there in the winter
Maybe a workout routine for travelers video, in the future? Cardio with Robert.😊
It’s a beautiful area and looks a lot like upper cape cod was that back pack large enough for you?🇺🇸😎⚓️
RVing for the Weekend here. next going into Georgia check out FDR State Park Campground and if have not yet visited The Little White House in Warm Springs Ga.
Robert - I looked at 45th North Vineyard &Winery website. You're right, their wines are a little pricey. Hope they were at least good
Will love to see road trip n camping in Iceland
Plan next time
I say, add a little garlic until it's too much! 😆 Uni-Roy-Al?
Thanks....... you take your Hiking Shoes with you........L Ya Sturgis, Michigan.....see ya next year 2025.....
Robert, when did you travel to Michigan? August-September timeframe maybe?
This was in late July
Walking on sand makes it more difficult for sure
Lewis and Clark expedition Sandy River State Park I don't remember it in your video
RVertv us 30 Columbia River
I’ve always liked Michigan but last time up, the roads were in bad shape. How were the roads?
The interstate was pretty good, but some roads were a little bumpy
The state has good funding but not the cities... It is the worst, and i used to be a courier in Miami, driven coast to coast many times, driven to oregon coast to coast.. Hard to believe this sandy beach paradise averages over 9 ft of snow per year
The best of Lake Michigan, is having fresh water instead of salted.
What is that wrist watch that reports location & blood pressure? I grew up a 1 1/2 mile from sand dunes like that in Indiana, before it was any kind of park. Climbing the dunes didn't seem so hard as a kid. Now just watching makes me sweat
Samsung Galaxy Watch
I think it is easier to climb sand dunes barefooted but may not be the safest thing, though.
Howdy from dunnellon
It's easier (still not easy) to climb dunes bare footed and it is invigorating to the feet.
Which one is your favorite Cuban espresso?
I see you like lighthouses let me guide you to one Grand Haven Grand Haven also has what they call musical fountains a free show in the summer I don't believe in RV friendly though
If you do get back to Chicago maybe in August do the air and water show called thunder over Chicago
The state park at Grand Haven would have some spaces, but in summer, MI is SO busy, you'd want to reserve your spot well in advance.
@tracylownsberry9067 I was referring to the downtown area itself if he wanted to pull over and park with a trailer I don't think he's got room for that but if there is parking like that let him know
when will the Ontario video come out
Two weeks
Wow, way too many commercials! I can get that on tv ! 📢💊💊
Hey Robert, I'm 57 years old so not eligible for medicare yet. I'm curious, what do you do for health insurance. I want to travel the United States like you but would't have health insurance if I quit my job. Any advice?
I have it through Ily's job
at 6:52 I could see land because the earth is flat - there is no way i could see it if the earth was round - there is no other explanation
Ro-Mo!
The water is crystal clear due to the invasion of zebra mussels. It's very bad for the fish 😢.
👍🏻🫶🏻
No offense, but its wintertime and all these summer travel video's are just not thrilling me. I know it takes time to edit and all , but can't you throw in a more "seasonal" one once in awhile?
I really doubt that's ever going to happen
Very pricey to go to light house, when State taxes paid for it time and time again, should be free to bisit
