I was blown away first time I heard an interview… these two off stage, soft-spoken philosophers, saints of rock & roll. And completely congruent to their stage act. Sometimes good guys don’t wear white.
As would I... From what I saw over their many years together: it seemed Lux and Ivy were truly an equal partnership. In everything I've read involving both Lux and Ivy and any interview/video I've seen of them offstage: there's always been obvious love and respect between the two in their interactions. No power struggles or abusive behavior... Lennon _admitted_ he had been physically, emotionally, and verbally abusive to women. His treatment of his wife Cynthia was *horrid* and it was no different with Julian (when he was around, at least), according to Cynthia, Julian, and others in their circle. He left them for Yoko. He may have been a better husband and father in that relationship. Still, I sincerely doubt he made a complete 180 in his treatment of Yoko and Sean. To be clear: I'm NOT trying to upset anyone who's a fan of Lennon, his music, or what he publicly stood for. I know what it's like to enjoy the work of artists who've admittedly done awful things. It's... difficult and complicated. I'll leave it at that. *Ahem* ANYWAY... I really admired and respected Lux and Ivy as a couple. They were two weirdos who found each other and went on to do great things as a partnership. As someone who's been called weird my whole life (literally) and then found my own weirdo partner: seeing Lux and Ivy made me happy. I was devastated when I heard Lux had passed. A little for myself and the loss of The Cramps, but mostly for Ivy. 😬 Eeessh, sorry! I didn't intend to turn a YT comment into a rambling Tedx talk. I know I have a tendency to do this: it's a work in progress 🤷🏻♀️ (I'm also willing to admit I could be wrong about Ivy and Lux. I hope I'm not, though...)
Right now it's twenty five after four... Do the clam.. Do the clam.. grab your baby by the hand.. Do the teeze, hug and squeeze.. one thing baby I just can't swallow.. 🩷 what's inside a girl there's a whole nother world 🌍
One of the greatest rock bands of all time in my opinion. Can I play guitar better than Poison Ivy? Yes, but that makes no difference in rock. Primal rock fury always wins out. I love Eddie Van Halen, but I love Poison Ivy just as much!
Yeah, no you can't play better than Poison Ivy, technically sure if you think shredding counts but in general shes second to none, no one can play like her
The fact is that Poison Ivy is in her mid 60's if not just a bit beyond but Hell, i'm 68 and i wouldn't care if i was 38 i would be so honored to meet her. Like myself i am absolutely sure that Poison Ivy will be awesome forever!
Lux Interior is an undead former Divine Assassin and the last of the Brunnen-G. He, along with Stanley Tweedle, Zev Bellringer and 790, accidentally steal the Lexx and flee the Cluster.
In the Earth culture according to The Cramps they probably are. You're welcome to your own alternative universe and definition of what the height of culture consists of.
There is high culture and there is low culture. They both can be dazzling and inspiring. It's middle culture that is the one to be avoided because it just asks you to settle for average. The Cramps took trash culture and blended glamour with primitive impulses to make a dangerous cocktail for all the wild kids of the world!

He gave me a ride, and he's been giving me a ride ever since! Man I love that woman!
Just so happens she was a masterpiece on the axe.
It's so awesome that they found each other through hitch hiking. Truly the stuff of legends! 🖤

One of the greatest rocknroll romances, I'd put them way above John and Yoko because no kids were abandoned as far as I know.

Greatest band and boring interview. "Stripped down and raw" ne voulais pas dire "plus dénudé et cru by the way...
French translation is full of mistakes!
I LOVE THE CRAMPS, but,.... 50's strippers, " the height of Earth culture ", hmmm. Perhaps not. I'll stick with Hemingway, or Chomsky.
In the Earth culture according to The Cramps they probably are. You're welcome to your own alternative universe and definition of what the height of culture consists of.
In a dionysian manner then it was sure a peak of human expression.

These two are better philosophers than Chomsky or my cousin Hemingway.
@@landscapetransformationwit6018 Anyone is better than that creep Chmomsky.
