7 years later and the "We Were Here!" still gives me chills.
How can a song that's been around for 5 years that I've heard hundreds of times still make me cry?
I guess most people don't realize how hard it is to perform like this live! Inside the studio everybody looks like a genius on its own task, but live, and specially for the singer, this is unbelievable. One of my favorite bands of all time is dream theater and I guess everyone knows how James performs live. Now a days he seems to have improved but still, not even close to the studio. Floors performance is just amazing, specially when you take into account how high and strong is her voice, how unbelievably long is her range. F*cking goddess, that's what she is.
lot of work and lot of skills here...But her voice..her amazing voice is beautifully fantastic !

As far as I'm concerned, Nightwish is the 8th wonder of the world and I'm sure Floor set the stones at Stonehenge. Love them so much!
I don't know why but the "we were here" part hits me from the inside like...I feel so grateful to be alive and respectful for the past generations that were here on Earth before us

+As Vol may I suggest that the effect is at least amplified by the fact that the same "we were here" is part of "Alpenglow"? :) I was wondering how "we were here" hit so hard the first few times around as well, then I re-noticed Alpenglow, .. just a nice move :)
+As Vol ... Wow!!! I thought I was the only one feeling this!!! Even tears come down from my eyes for something inexplicable... It must be something from within that we understood the message... We were together sharing this life from the very beginning of existence of this Universe... Nightwish MUST know this, that there are people who really understood the message... WE WERE HERE!!!
The "We were here!" part is the most glorious part of the song and for sure my favorite!

I've been listening to this song a couple times a week for months. It brings me to tears every single time. I never imagined a song could be so touching, so epic, so GRAND. Like running into a wall of emotions I didn't know I could feel. An invaluable contribution from Nightwish to the history of music and art. Thank you.

yeah, this song is actually the reason I bought darwin's origin of species. It's all so fascinating to get to know how all these endless forms of most beautiful nature have been, and are being evolved :)

I love this song. The one part, all the other instruments are silent, and the keyboards are playing. Building tension for the rest of the song. Use of quiet as music. I don't know that ANY other bands come to mind who compose music like this. Thank you very much.
The sound quality of this clip is excellent! For the first time I could actually hear Floor's guttural growling and even Kai hitting the pads. Excellent

The only problem I have with Nightwish, my favourite band of any genre, is Dawkins. I don't understand why Tuomas Holopainen has any truck with him. An ocean-going peacock and an arrogant, twisted, sick prick. If you don't know what I'm referring to, Google it.
@@ManinManchester What did you contribute to make this world a better place? Dawkins did his fair bit and quite successfully so. At least he has the courage to go head to head with the religious fanatics of this world. Also Darwin is understood a lot better by many people thanks to the efforts of Richard Dawkins.

Something wonderful happened to this band between Imaginaerum and today. I'm not entirely sure what it was, but I think it was Floor.

I don't believe it this woman looked even better than I imagined,you know she's been in the game for a long time in different bands,but one thing does stand out to me her exquisite singing style,24 minutes,Mann.....you got some dedicated fans,I can tell they prefer the gourmet dish over the Mac Donaldson cheeseburger,they have a lot of long term patience for listening to a song like that especially in a live setting...Amazingly Awesome..!!!

Definitely the best fit with Nightwish so far. Floor hardly misses a note, doesn't overact and has a wide stylistic range. It's a bit of Irony that Nightwish is better without Tarja, and Tarja is better without Nightwish.
She's so humble...she has stage presence, but somehow makes it about the music and not about her. I don't know if that's something she studied or something she was born with, but it fits with Nightwish. None of them ever make the shows about themselves - it's all about the stories.

Lo que me gusta de Floor es que es una laburante. Siempre la remó por su cuenta y hoy me alegra que haya llegado y se haya consolidado en unas de las bandas "grandes" del genero.
El.universo confabulo para que ella estuviera con ellos, nadie como ella para darle.ese poder, fuerza y belleza al mismo tiempo a las letras de Tuomas, Nigthwish hoy tiene mas seguidores en el mundo y Floor es el.iman, afortunados y alineacion de planetas sin duda.

***** si ya esta confirmado que el año que viene hay nuevo DVD/BR, todo parece indicar que van a editar el show de Wembley de hace un par de dias atras...pero quien sabe solo queda esperar.
+emperor81 también tienen un show en Canada y el show más grande de su carrera que lo dieron en Finlandia, el DVD va a ser un recopilatorio de toda la gira
+emperor81 esto fue grabado por la productora, no por la banda misma, asi que es poco o nada probable que usen este material. A parte ya sacaron material filmado acá (Ghost love score 2012) asi que seguro sacan algo de otro lado, han tocado shows muy grandes en este tour

NW not only creates great music. In this song they also show their intelligence. The first time I read the title I thought it was a statement about the NW concert. But then I heard Richard Dawkins' voice and I knew the title was a quote from the great defender of science and Darwin's work. Hail to NW for recognizing that. I heard Floor say she even read the book.

Just i reminder to every Nightwish fan out there - if you happen to be witnessing The Goddess perform live in in front of you, put your f*cking phone down, raise your hands and worship her and the band the way they deserve !!!! Don't be an imbecile and just stare into a screen. I've never seen them live, but if i'm lucky enough, i'd be taking as much as possible of the thill, the emotion, the experience and the atmosphere from the incredible thing unfolding before me. Nothing makes me this mad like seeing a crowd with phones, recording a Nightwish concert. Yes, ok... take some picture at then end when the band finishes or in the pauses, but during the songs don't film like it's a graduation party. Live the moment or later you'll regret it.
I've had the opportunity to see them live twice...you can bet the only thing I was staring at was the band. :-)
