Ohhh bless Paco Pena, he used to come to Melbourne in spring. I remember being in the front row and I could have reached out and touched Raul as he danced! Paco Pena is a wise, patient gentle soul. At the ABC bookshop he signed my cd. I expressed my frustration and curiosity not knowing what the songs were about and him telling me I didn't need to know literally to 'enjoy, or emphasise' with the music, it goes right through you into your soul. This is so true. Alas, I haven't learnt Spanish after all these years. When you look at lyrics translated, they seem to be a bunch of disjointed stories at times, often dark, like some ones heart felt ripped out, buried in the ground and stomped on by their former lover 😂, so the poetry is so expressive, as is every part of the music from the guitarists, singers, dancers, percussionists. Thank you so much Paco Pena for all the joy you have given. Vale Rual. May the next generation of flamencas keep finding their unique way through to expression. Paco Pena blessings always 🐨❤🕊 My dear long suffering flamenco teachers, who didn't give up on me, whether through dance or playing the cajon, bless you all ❤❤❤

Different than other famous flamenco guitarists, famous guitarist Paco Pena can speak good english and this is his big advantage !
