Wow that was stressful! I might have said to hell with going up the trail beyond 20 meters and pitched my tent right there ;) Good for you getting off of that crazy road though, I couldn't imagine that for so long. It's very uncomfortable though to be close quarters with traffic in late evening conditions (done that!)
Yeah, it was really hard. Especially in the night when you know you should be in the tent by now, I was there in the middle of the trail, pushing my bike and trailer in the darkness... it had a very creepy vibe to it. I was relieved as I managed to reach that statue. I really wanted to pitch up my tent next to the trail, but the ground was not suitable for it at all. The terrain was on a slope and there were thorns, bushes and sharp stones everywhere. I thought I should pitch up the tent ON the trail, basically at the beginning of the trail. But you know how it is... you hope to find something better and that lead me to go further and further. If I am comparing the night in Switzerland where I got wet to the bone from that storm or this night, I would choose the first anytime 😂. It really a nice feeling knowing you understand how I felt 🤗
Holy SH** the next one is insane!! I have landed a lot on Oludeniz beach and thought I had good experience at that, but with that landing I think i would have gone into the water OMG! You are one very good pilot my friend!👏👍👍 PS. Get you got commented into the ground, I understand ;)
Hey Sandra, I finally have some time to reply. Ölüdeniz is so picturesque and beautiful... landing there on the beach is something else too. Yeah, gotta be careful. So I assume you read the description of my video. Many people tend to not even bother to understand what the hell was going on and jump to conclusions. As you noticed, I did indeed dissable the comments on that video, because ''EXPERTS'' (you know, everyone is an expert in everything) started sending me aggressive messages, not even something constructive, but pure envious and insulting comments. At this point I am utterly disgusted by the paragliding community (especially germans) and the fact that no one can be happy for someone's achievements. Ok, let me explain... I am not encouraging anyone to do what I did, nor am I expecting to be praised for my landing, BUT the fact that all these a**holes are so envious and can't believe that I am indeed able to pull off such landings, is disgusting and shocking me. They all come with ''endagering others''... look, I get that, I really do but only if I knew I wouldn't be able to manage such landings. One guy told me, I could have landed on the rocky outcrop and sprain my ankle or even land in water, but at least I wouldn't enandanger others... oh, so I should freaking kill myself just because they don't have the skill to land on a tight spot like I did. Anyway, just wanted to let you know because I appreciate you and your support. In future, I won't post ''unconventional'' paragliding videos. Just keep it for myself because I just attract hate and envy. Some former paragliding colleague from the paragliding school (2017) hated me during the paragliding course because I was better than him and keeps on hating the guts out of me. That guy reported me to the DHV (kinda like the FAA in Germany) on multiple ocassions, now again, and even emailed me letting me know how much he hates me. Sad! Sorry for writing so much, but wanted to let you know the story! Take care of you. :)
@@Dvybz I see what you are saying, like landing on a floating pad in the water. Many can do it, I have seen many do it. No different really. I think once you're at that level a bicycle riding through sunbathers is far more dangerous. For me it would have been embarrassing more than anything lol! But look on the "bright" side, that second or two of shade from your wing may have protected one person from getting the photonic UV particle that would have split a DNA causing skin cancer. That said, I think it was worth the hassle ;*
Just watched your latest paragliding video were you land on the beach. Dude, I don't want you to scold you publicly and as you turned off the comments in your beach video, I assume you will delete my comment anyway. I want you to read it anyway. I know you want to become an influencer with your youtube platform. I don't think your skills and experience are enough for this. While watching your beach video I was constantly on the edge of my seat. Your height on the cliff side was way too low. From what I could hear of the variometer you flew constantly into the luv zone, provoking a loss of lift and a sudden stall. In this height it could be a deadly mistake. In the description of the video I've read that you started without checking the landing spot first. Also landing between these people was nothing short of an idiotic move which brought bystanders into harms way. Looking at your video, after you brought yourself into this f'ed up situation would have been to land in one of those driveways or aim for a tree (im not kidding). Your landing without harming someone was pure luck. Luck for those people.
What would you have done if you were in my situation? 😅

Actually, it was pretty reckless. If he would have a license (which I doubt) it should be seized on the spot.

Man, just watched it again and seeing how people had to duck away to not get hit by your legs. Man, this is f'ed up.
