    I've been playing beat saber on PSVR2 for 2 years now, but this was actually pretty informative. I didn't know about the weird smoothing thing
    I expected it to not be good at speed, lol, but for everything else I've found it to be pretty good
    I would say I'm more than a casual player because I've been beating more high-level Ex+ maps, which is why I've been thinking about selling it and buying quest so I can mod the game and play custom maps

    I had the opportunity to use a PSVR2 a long while ago when visiting my bf who owns one and uses it as his main HMD on PCVR now thanks for the PC support.
    I thought that the controllers felt clunky, too thick at the grip, and were unbalanced for beat saber. The smoothing was incredibly apparent too, I knew I wasn't swinging so weirdly and that it was something else.
    Another thing was the headset fit itself. It didn't sit properly on my head no matter how much I adjusted or tightened the headset, it ended up moving further up my head when playing causing the focus sweet spot to move outside of my vision and causing the game to appear blurry.
    The resolution is fantastic, combining that with the OLED panels and its the nicest visual experience of any headset I've tried, beating the Quest 3 simply because of OLED.
    It's a nice headset for anything outside of beat saber to be honest. The hmd comfortability was only found in beat saber and other games it wasn't as much of an issue or could be recified easily.

    4:10 I call this one "Slide grip" and use it on Quest 3 controllers.
    Because it's like default one, but you slide down the controllers. Never seen anybody else use it up till now.

    Looking at the tier list at the end, Quest Pro should never be used for beat saber. Sweat can completely fry the eye tracking permanently if you sweat a lot. If you use it for beat saber, please be mindful of this.

    while I agree it sucks for competitive beat saber, if you don't care too much about beat saber or competitive VR, it's such an amazing PCVR headset. The combo of the fov, oled, resolution, and lack of compression makes the immersion level like 5x compared to the quest 3. I feel much more of a sense of presence compared to the quest 3

    • @noam15A
      @noam15A  4 дня назад

      I somewhat agree. I think for different people and different games, the best choice could be either the PSVR 2 or the Quest 3. Personally I'd pay a little extra for the Quest 3 in most games just because I love the pancake lenses.

    I have the Quest 3 and I'm playing the Beat Saber version that is natively installed on the Quest 3 itself (not from a PC). I don't feel like it's an S-tier kind of headset for Beat Saber, to be honest. I feel like the tracking isn't the best.
    When you put the Quest 3 in the S-tier, do you mean when it's connected to a PC and using the Pro controllers instead of the ones that come with the headset? Or do you rate it S as the raw device with the controllers that come with it?
    I'm really looking forward to your answer! Thanks.

    • @noam15A
      @noam15A  4 дня назад +1

      I only considered the Quest 3 for PCVR. It isn't S tier on standalone compared to the other headsets just because PCVR is way superior to standalone imo.
      If you have poor tracking, make sure to enable hand tracking in the settings. It uses the hand tracking data to improve the controller tracking quality.

    • @MrMisticZ
      @MrMisticZ 3 дня назад

      In theory, wireless could be better than wired because of lower latency.

      @@MrMisticZ how wireless could have a lower latency tho?

    • @MrMisticZ
      @MrMisticZ 3 дня назад

      @flamyf That's because Quest goes through additional translation layers (not sure what they're actually called though) when connecting to PC. Each one adds latency. With wireless, there're simply less of them. So even if individually each adds more, in total it's still less.

    • @noam15A

      @@flamyf The official Quest Link is very inefficient, unlike Steam Link and VD. They're so much better that with ideal WiFi you can get a lower latency.
