Say mate, do you have have a controller tab tutorial video? Reading controller inputs can be a pain in the butt when using these configurations for us novice fighting game players

string -> up+L2 -> button -> bf2 -> button abuse that shit till they nerf it also make sure you stretch/take care of your hands because those bnbs are gonna be brutal

Shen do you think the lack of gaps are a good design choice. It seems his complex nature made it hard for nrs to design: lack of gaps, bad frame data on projectiles, and an infinite. It there’s a punish guide I expect to eventually change it’d be this one. He does have alot of slow buttons and highs, but having few gaps is a weird choice.
I don't think its good design choice and tbh I don't know if its even INTENTIONAL design choice no gaps, there are highs in his strings but they all jail on block so you can't duck them anyways I 100% expect to see them adjust him, especially due to the block infinite and other bugs(?) he came with he has a glitch that allows him to slide around while crouch blocking, also his default float state makes certain bnbs impossible on him (omni and reptile optis) so yeah, feels like he wasnt thoroughly playtested and NRS is okay with releasing overtuned DLC
I’ve always wondered how to tell if a string has a gap in it. There has to be a way to tell from the frame data, right? For instance, a character might have a start-up frame count of 7 for standing 1, and then for the string (standing 1, standing 2), the start-up is 16 frames. How do they calculate the frame data for the strings? I’ve actually never understood that. I’ve only ever paid attention to start-up for the first hit and the block/hit advantage for the last hit.
there's another number in frame data called "cancel advantage" which is the number you'd subtract from the next start up to calculate the gap but it's probably easiest to just go to practice mode, set the AI to block all, reversal mode on, and have them reversal an armor move

yup. but at least you can try armor wakeup, upblock, delay wakeup, wakeup bottons, or wakeup kameo once youre in the block infinite you literally can't do anything except take the hit or maybe fblock mavado?
@@shenles no man, I tried, if he keeps at a proper distance, he can completely avoid the wakeup. If I am homelander vs homelander, my armored wakeup has a shitty range. So I can't hit him with my wakeup, but he can keep hitting me
im just saying you have more options after getting knocked down than if youre stuck on the block infinite if youre in the block infinite literally your only options are take the hit or die to chip dmg

take the hit as of right now I'm not aware of an OS or a way to reliably hitconfirm for a combo if the kick hits (and it knocks you down) alternatively you can flawless block to reduce chip, it would honestly take forever for HL to kill you via chip dmg I havent tested if mavado fblock pushback works in block infinities but yeah its a problem and I expect NRS to adjust his frame data

@@shenlesbro the flight combos are crazy, you can get a full combo from his forward 4 into flight into bf2 1 and then go from there
