I live in South Louisiana. We’re no strangers to high heat here. I haven’t had one melt on me, and we have weather in the 90s. I don’t have a magic number, but be cautious is my best answer.
The flashpoint of candle fragrance oil is the temperature at which point it becomes combustible if exposed to a spark or flame. The flashpoint is generally only important for those making gel candles and for determining shipping methods. Certain gel waxes require fragrance oils with a flashpoint of 170° or higher.
Where did you get the new fragrance oil? The one I got from the website you mentioned before, was extremely small and barely let off any scent. I made so many people some and they were saying they couldn’t smell the car freshie. I was so disappointed.
I made some beads last Thursday and they are still sticking to the side of the glass Jar. ANy ideas why? I know some oils could take longer to cure. Have you ever had issues?
I tried freshies for the first time. They cooled entirely but they were lodged and stuck in the metal cookie cutter. There was zero way to get them out without damaging my cookie cutter. :( Any advice? They didn’t stick to the pan. Just the cutter. We had several people attempt to twist, wiggle, and dislodge it.

1. Make sure you’re using quality oils. Some of the cheaper ones do not have a good “throw” of their scent. 2. Let them cure for a few days even after the oils dry. 3. Try cooking them on lower temp for a little longer if you’re still not getting a good scent. That works with some brand of oils. Those are a few options to try.

maybe baking too long. I did that when I began and ruined the cookie cutter with beads that were glued to the sides. over cooked. You can also spray pam onto a paper towel and lightly wipe the inside of your cookie cutter but be sure NOT to use much. i bake mine at 325 for around 8 minutes and so far it's been perfect.
Carol P... I was actually told (but have not tried) to let them 'breathe' before using.... in other words.... to let them set in the open for a little while before using...... I just started watching these how to videos and plan on making some myself... so if done some research... hopefully mine come out half as good as hers!!
This is quite common with newer beads. If they have been sitting for awhile, they won’t smell. As you produce the beads, they have a vinegar smell, or silicon smell. It will dissipate once the beads are scented and baked.
Lonestar Candle Company is a good place to order from as well. When I ordered they shipped the next day.

Has anyone tried to use alcohol inks for color? Just wondering cause I have some handy from making cups!
Did you ever find out if you could use alcohol inks for this? I as well have some handy so if I don't have to buy them I won't
I just made some fresheners in the oven and they completely melted and leaked out the cookie cutter
Heather Coburn its sounds like you used wax melts instead of aroma beads.
Heather Coburn I had the same issue . And I did use aroma beads . Try not to leave in the oven longer than need to .
Need to make sure your tray is absolutely flat! Mine was not and it leaked as well! Got new ones and boom came out awesome!
Mine get stuck to my cookie cutters why
maybe baking too long.
Where do you get your fragrance oils?
Tara White hobby lobby, amazon, Scent Deals, Aroma Beads Online.
@@CookingandCouponing scent deals?
Do they have bigger than 1 oz. Bottles at hobby lobby?
Tara White www.scentdeals.com. A lot of people have said their shipping is high and slow. Just a heads up.
Did the aroma beads smell like glue or have a strong chemical odor? I’ve ordered some off of amazon & they wasted my fragrance oil... :(
Carol P these that I used in the video did not have any scent to them at all. I’m very pleased with them & I’ll definitely order them again. 😁😁👍👍
Anybody use a gas oven?
Can you please provide your email? I have a few questions
Brooke Campbell sure! Corimichelle26@gmail.com

Ashley Romero I’ve purchased most of mine from Ultimate Party Store. I’ve also found some at garage sales!
