THANK YOU - I posted on NC Piedmont Angler a few weeks ago about this very topic - asking if anyone knew where to put in on the Dan....I live on Belews and occassionally drive over the Dan and wonder where I can slip in and fish that thing. I love small water like that. Where can I park up and wade fish the river where I won't need to worry about my truck?
I would recommend the wildlife access where Pitzer and Duggins rd meet.....I’ve also caught a lot of fish at the public access below Hemlock golf course.
I caught one in the Dan 4 1/2 pounds years ago . Hooked one and lost it probably even bigger a few years ago . Stokes county .. Can't tell you the spot though .. ..
Kind of a weird question but could you do a video fishing through the Eden area?? I REALLY wanna know if there’s any smallmouth through there.
I can try at some point, but I would imagine that there are definitely smallmouth there. They can be tricky to catch in some areas due to fishing pressure and other factors, but smallmouth are present throughout the Dan.
