I bought the CP400 last year without the crank. Love it. I'm just bored and watching videos before our archery season here in Indiana opens in a couple days. Great review.
i got one about 2 weeks ago but i'm sending it back . i didn't do my research ..... and after i got it i found it has issues with the sled on the CCD breaking and destroying the limbs . it's a beautiful bow and having ravin dna i felt it was a safe buy for me . i'm looking at a barnett xp400 now . thanks and take care dude , jeff
@@kurtglo i did not say i had an issue . i found others had issues with it . and when i found out about the trigger i wasn't interested in it anymore . been very happy with my barnett
Great video Donnie shared to all the men in my social media circle. That's not to say girls can't shoot it too. Very cool cross bow I've never really practiced archery since I was in my 30's & 40's being a underground contract miner my shoulders are pretty much shot out lol so your getting my interests up. Thank you for toughing it through your sore throat...
Do you know of any problems with the silent cranking system breaking the adjustable stocks? This happened with my CP Patriot 425. The cranking system is mounted on the cp 400 in the same spot as the cp patriot. When cranking up the string, there's a tremendous amount of pressure on that sleeve
Another succinct review Donnie! - Happy Thanksgiving Mr...........and remember if you don't want to experience your Aunty's Ire - Cut that Pumpkin Pie properly dude - no cutting a wedge from the middle right? Lest thee want a physical Physics lesson demonstrated on thine hide......................BBBuuuuuahahaha - I've heard Safety pins work well on thicker skinned folk (BIG CHEESY GRIN AT YA)
Please do not put your fingers in the path of the cocked cable. I know there’s a safety mechanism BUT mechanical things do fail sometimes. Place the bolt from the front of the shooting rail, do not hold the bolt from the tip, that would be even a deadly unsafe practice. Keep your fingers away from the moving cable or you will be retrieving your finger instead of your bolts
I appreciate you taking the time and going over the crossbow- especially with the cranking system and the magic number 5!

Hey Jeff, when you say that you had an issue with the CCD breaking, did the adjustable stock break where the silent crank mounts to the stock? Thanx

Thanks man! With that crank system, ANYONE can shoot it. I can't stress enough how awesome that feature is.

Can you crank this without the stirrup?
Very informative video but you needed to zoom in so we could see better sugar foot!
lolol I'll remember that for next time.

Go man👊🏻😉💪🏻🏹
Right on, Corrado! Thanks!
-Donnie
Just got one. Can I take the foot stirrup off if I'm using the hand crank? Just trying to save wt.
I'm wondering the same thing?

A $200 crank shouldn't have to be removed or take all that work to setup. That is just highway robbery.
Why is Baker airguns reviewing crossbows
Because we're selling crossbows and need to let everyone know what we have.
-Donnie
Well I guess that makes sense I didn't know you guys were selling crossbows
