That woman was a genius songwriter, so lyrically honest and real it sucks that she's often only remembered as an addict in her last days and her skills as a musician where quickly forgotten as the demons of fame took her down. I've never sang a song by Amy but decided to give one a try. I love this track so much, I hope you do too! It is funny but when I was listening to some of your songs I thought "This woman sounds and looks like Amy Winehouse on an acid trip! And that is a compliment! i am an old ( old enough that I ran off to Haight Ashbury in 1967... ) hippie and love your voice, your videos and songs. I barely listen to her music to this day but for sure she was something else (special, unique... so as you). Just how much she was ostricized and judged and how her humanly life struggles took precedence to the sheeple. Luckily real people still have the mind and soul and ears and appreciate those other few PEOPLE. Actual humans that look past faults and see the beauty and have compassion enough to see the pain within that leads to these faults we become condemned for. this is wow too. checked amy's original and this is unbelievably close but she had all the bass and booming drums in there and i suspect some people below just miss these. amy's voice had this bell-ringing it it but maybe that's some reverb or other effect and i think you could reach that echoing sound too (might be wrong).
