Great that the current government is focusing on high speed mobility but the problem here is that a lot of railway tracks are curvy in nature and the signalling system over here is absolete. Due to this factor the vande bharat train cannot be operated at full speed. Hope the government solves this issue.
Why are these trains not exported to Europe, I see hyundai trains all around in Europe, we can surely beat hyundai in quality and reliability if not price😉. It's a huge opportunity for us in India. Hyundai not only sells them trains but also have locomotive maintenance sheds built up here in Europe which deal with day today issues.
Our government entities and even bigger industrial houses do not have the confidence of exporting or taking on markets in western world. Take the example of Tatas or Mahindras - just tigers at home. Only young startups like OLA and Zomato and similar others are entering western markets and taking up the challenge.
India's modern road systems are tiny, narrow and small. Look at their "world class" bridges...very narrow and short span across two sides of tiny rivers no long than 500 meters; and built with plain untreated metal iron sheets and angle bars which can rust easily.
The more you build the easier it and cheaper it gets. There is a reason China build the fastest and cheapest infrastructure, India can do it too. A stronger India is in the interests of Africa.
Every Government funded project should Run in 2 or 3 shifts and complete work in Record Time. Scalding up and more Giga factories are the way to go. India needs sustainability promoting Giga factories that produce few generations ahead EV Busses and EV Cargo Trucks and Vans with EV charging network.
