I haven't even watched this yet, but thank u for doin it. Royce been a beast for a long time, & deserves SO much more props than he gets. The guy has no problem keepin up with & often surpassing EM on a song. Dude is a lyrical juggernaut. 💯
Daaaamn boy, thanks a lot for Royce. I've had no time to listen to his discography but every time I've heard him rapping with Shady I preferred him to Em Scary Movie's a sick joint with a crazy beat
I know Royce said in interviews that he isn't in the right headspace to make a true follow up for DiC. I'm never expecting him to get back that energy, but I appreciate the effort he makes with him more recent stuff.
Not the shade at Hamilton haha, that musical was dope, Lin is a huge hip hop head and not to mention 95% of that cast was black and brown got to give it to em, wait til you hear his musical version of the classic movie Warriors. Another great list, I would have placed Street Hop higher than 9, that album is fire
@@SimonHillKeepsItTrill Lin told the story of America then by America now. Which is dope imo. They did highlight John Lauren’s who was very anti slavery and eventually fight for many years to have an all black battalion. We know America history isn’t perfect. But we must learn it to not repeat it, and what better way to learn then to see people like us on the stage telling us the history we would probably over look if it was a 100% white cast
His best albums to me are death is certain, book of Ryan and prhyme 1. Independents Day is trash aside from a few songs. Phyme 2 was okay. The rest of his albums range from good to excellent. Underrated discography.
@@SimonHillKeepsItTrill it’s near the bottom of my top 50 but nevertheless, it’s in there. Btw, my top 50 list is on point. You still using the word trill so I’m not too offended by your faith in my list….. lol
@@orondeshaw When you're really from the south... trill ain't a trend. Now i know your 50 is trash because ugk definitely can't be in it and you're from Ohio, a state that has never produced anything significant to Hip-Hop other than samples & Stalley. That's double sad.
That's literally mentioned in the video. It's a shame that so many loud commentators don't even listen to the words in the write-ups let alone the music.
@SimonHillKeepsItTrill That's literally NOT what he said. So let me help you out. @ 13:58 he said the album was MAJORITY produced by him and that's false. Royce produced the ENTIRE album with very little co-production. That is not the same thing. So you must be one of the loud commentators you previously spoke about huh
Who remembers Royce all over thy GTA 3 soundtrack?
I do.
Yes sir! Game Radio!
I’m the kiiiing!
"Right handed, built with a left that can out arm wrestle a southpaw"
"Yall niggas ain't rough, need to smile more in ya pictures"
Very interesting Ranking, I have my list almost completely different

He's the best rapper in Slaughterhouse
Never listened to a Royce album but after watching this, I'll be checking out the top 5 from this list
Death is certain is my first royce album i bought, but Layers is def his best zero skips, like maybe 1
definitely listen to book of ryan too, this list was a bit wack having it at 9 its EASILY top 3 for me and could very arguably be his best!!
Book of Ryan at 9 hurt
What really hurt was listening to it
I’m only 23 but Death is certain and pyrme my fav albums by him I haven’t heard pryme 2 I’m boutta check that out
Good video! Royce definitely deserves his flowers as one of the best lyricists out there 🔥🔥🔥
Danny Brown albums ranking would be a good one.
Humbly speaking, that MF Doom list should drop before Danny Brown does
@@SimonHillKeepsItTrill both would be good 🔥🔥🔥
I am glad that Death is Certain, got its proper respect. Great Ranking.
excellent album aging like georgian wine
Y’all keep coming with great content. Just want you to know I truly appreciate you doing what you’re doing and I promise this great work will pay off.
CT & Tidal should do a collab. Between podcasts & curated playlists, I think it would be well received

i like hamilton too but it's problematic having black & brown people playing the characters who were literal slaveowners and WS

@@Coldchillin661that’s a very salient point
Royce is one of those great emcees that can’t make a classic album to save his life closest one he has is Death Is Certain
Some would argue Death Is Certain is a classic.
Same as Kiss, Fab, Crooked
@@lecrivain1961 shit crooked can’t even make a good song to save his life lol atleast the other two can make good songs
cap, he has death is certain, success is certain and book and ryan
@@lecrivain1961 Nah Jada's first two albums are 100% classics, at the very least Kiss of Death is one

Ayy I heard that em jab
Book of Ryan is in my top 50 rap albums ever and y’all put it at 7 lol. This might be the worst list y’all done so far. Respectfully of course
Sorry, but I'd hate to see your other 49 albums.

Yup. Trash list
When are you planning to give us the cypress hill episode?

Please we need a project ranking ot Dave East next.
Which Rock City did you listen to? Version 1.0, 2.0 , or 3.0?
V2
You chose the correct #1 😅
Mr. Porter deserves more love as a producer and an emcee…
Mr. Porter is hit and miss. Honestly, Eminem has made better beats
@@SimonHillKeepsItTrill I dunno man. The tracks he did for ‘Bad Meets Evil’, ‘Layers’ and ‘Book of Ryan’ are 🔥. My favourite Em beat is ‘Get my Gun’…
Here Just to see if Layers was number 1!!!!!
Yes indeed, family
book of Ryan not being top 3 made me almost turn this video off.
The Allegory is entirely produced by Royce with a couple of co-producers..
That's literally mentioned in the video. It's a shame that so many loud commentators don't even listen to the words in the write-ups let alone the music.

Nah layers is good but not number 1. If i had to pick it would be street hop. The story telling alone in that album was amazing
Independent's Day should MOST DEFINITELY be last. It wasn't good.
This is a lie. Fun, hilarious, and gritty Detroit music. You wouldn't know what it is.
horrible ranking, success is certain is WAYYYY better than allegory and more than half of his albums
This comment gets the Kamala chin rub

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but as far as I'm concerned this list ain't it. Rock City ahead of Success Is Certain and Street Hop is insane.
If it was opinion based prhyme 1 would be number 1
These looping videos are grating. Revert to previous format, pls.
Glad everyone has their own opinions cuz your list is trash.
