I now have a meat slicer just like our host of this video has, and it's reliable. You can make sure it continues to stay that way by USING IT FOR WHAT IT IS DESIGNED FOR ONLY! Here is my updated comment. The Beswood model 250 meat slicer is one of the VERY BEST deli meat slicers for its price range. It is suitable for home and commercial use. It is made to slice deli meat without bones, cheese, bread with a SOFT CRUST, and produce that is not too hard and does not have any hard stems, pits, seeds, etc. Most people do not know this, but this particular model is not designed to cut frozen foods, or meat with bones in it. Those who need food slicing equipment for these scenarios should do online research and find a slicer that suits their needs. In many cases, you can read or download the owners manual online for a slicer that you are considering for purchase. If you can, READ IT ALL, and you should know for sure by then if that model is right for your purposes BEFORE YOU BUY IT! I did my homework by doing online research; I knew exactly what I needed, and how much money I could spend. I knew, before I made the purchase, exactly what the Beswood 250 slicer IS and IS NOT capable of. I also watched demonstration videos online on how to operate, clean, and care for this equipment. BE AN EDUCATED AND INFORMED BUYER, NOT AN UNWARY ONE. Thanks to Vel Dogs Kitchen for this video, and for answering my questions in the comments. This man gave me some great information; I found a few local restaurant food suppliers that will sell to any member of the public that sells deli meats and cheese in bulk.
I had this slicer I sent it back would bog down alot If you were cutting frozen steaks. I went with the KWS commercial grade one 340 watt motor works great. Also if people are interested when it comes to greasing your slicer rail don't buy that silicone lube I just spray original Pam cooking spray works great been doing that for years and years cheap and always ready available. Never had any problems with my slicers.
I just ordered this model today. I'm looking forward to getting it because those people at the meat department never cut my meats that suits me. I have to say it is very quiet. I really like that. I never wanted a meat slicer until I started buying pork belly a couple of years ago. I will be able to slice pork belly for several helpings. And the slicer looks pretty easy to clean.
Thank you for the comprehensive video demonstration of this Beswood slicer. It is a little bit of an investment at around $400, but you get what you pay for. This equipment is what I want for my home kitchen. Deli meats and cheese are very expensive at the deli, but buy your quality meats and cheese in bulk and slice them yourself and save lots of money. Eventually save more than the price of this meat slicer in the long run. By the way, in the $300 to $400 price range, the Beswood meat slicer in this video is an excellent investment, because of how well designed and how durable it is. I dedinately cannot afford a $4,000 Bizerba meat slicer.
Just found a BESWOOD 250 slicer for around $335 new, and it is a costly investment. In the long run, however, lots of money can be saved when buying deli meats and cheese in bulk and slicing them yourself. Like you said, this is where this investment pays off. This is one of the best meat slicers money can buy in this price range. Can't wait to make homemade sub sandwiches with FRESHLY sliced meat and cheese, for less by making them myself.
Slicers like the Beswood and KWS include integrated sharpeners. They stay VERY sharp for a very long time (there are plenty of people who cut themselves on an unplugged slicer), and if they do start to get dull, just run the sharpener for a short time and clean the blade, and they will be as good as new - you can sharpen the blade many hundreds of times.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Devon Hunter Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
hey vel, question. I want to buy one but even though i could save money in the long run, my question is for the meats and cheeses. How do you preserve them to stay good? Do you put the rest in your freezer or fridge? cause im confused. Its not like im eating that much cheese or meat for sandwiches a week?
Do you need to have a commercial account or have a state sales tax I. D. number to buy these meats and cheese in the bulk quantities in this video? Or, will they just sell to any member of the public?
I have no idea if you need cell Texas or account. I got my meat from GFS Gordon food services. No account just buy right out. You should be able to go to your local deli. And bye in the store.
THANK YOU for doing thin-sliced genoa deli salami. People kept doing thick sliced salami sticks. I got my "thin-sliced" deli order in today and yet again I can play hockey with my salami. I'm done, I'll do it my damn self 🤣
@Vel Dogg's Kitchen just to let you know you have the blade sharpner on backwards when cutting. It should only be that way when sharpening the blade. Turn it around so the curve end is facing the meat that's why it's curved like that so it acts as a blade guard. The wheels face front of blade when slicing and backwards when sharpening.

Couldn't explain it no better than that fam. I will be sure to 📌 this up😊
@VelDoggsKitchen HI Veldogg! Thank you for liking my comment. Keep on bringing us your great videos.
Just the video I was looking for showing the slicer doing the work! Reviews are good, but actual slicing footage is the best. Thank you.

So happy that you purchased this slicer. You will be super happy fam.
You made it look easy. I see your enjoying the slicer, is it still performing as expected today and how well does it maintain a sharp blade? Thanks

I know that's right and you're more than welcome Anything you want me to do just let me know and I try my best to get to ASAP💯👍
Do you still have this slicer and how's it holding up if you do.
I still have this slicer works great for me.

Is this the 250 model? The one that is 240 watts? It seems to breeze through that cheese and that's what I want.
It’s the 250 he placed a link in the description
Where did you purchase the whole pieces of meat for so cheap?
Thank you for watching I got to meet from GFS known as Gordon food services🤗👍
how long can you preserve the meats and cheeses for?
If you Wrap them up and put them in freezer bags they will last for a long time in the freezer 2 to 3 weeks 👍
ZERO HYGIENE ...💀💀☠👹👻
You touched every piece that came out of the machine...
Slicer works well but you should shop elsewhere for your capicolo and Genoa salami, they look terrible in my honest opinion
