U can use the material that isn’t sprayed on and cover the pillows that r sprayed on. Then u have $100 pillows with very nice covers on them. U can cover anything that’s sprayed if it’s bedding. Blankets can be covered with a duvet cover.

These s corporate stores should have to pay fines it should be mandatory that they donate or give to someone in need . It almost makes me want to film this kind of stuff and show on national television all the money stores throw away that could've not went in to our land fields . It's time these companies get exposed for what they really are . It just makes me sick so sick . There are people in need of that good kind of stuff . We have had so many fires in California. And national disasters, Hurricane's tornadoes, people need help . And there are so many little kids that go without a meal or even a Christmas gift . What about our vets who served our country and they come home and have nothing . It's the season for giving . And we should all try to do our part not just on holiday,s but any day . Thanks for another great dumpster diving video . And let's hope all of us give with a giving heart . Happy Thanksgiving to u and all here . God bless see u on ur next video . Buy for now . Peace out .

Because stores wouldn’t be able to claim it on their taxes but what I don’t get is how would anyone know what happens after it leaves the store? They don’t have to destroy it they choose too! Which in my opinion is so wrong especially when people could really use the products.

Maybe we should all get together and set up a petition...because all of those locked dumpsters people who dive cannot get in are all items going to landfill possibly who knows where all that stuff ends up that should be donated to people in need. At least for now, those that do dive are helping themselves as they do others in need as well. ✌🏼

And I agree 100% with everything you commented about .... I'm gonna look and see if there's anything online, conversations about this.... much love from South Philly 😁😊🙃😀

elisa maldonado Hi 🤗, thanks for letting me know your suggestion. I never thought of that. Thank you. I’ve not looked it up, but will check it out because I’m really serious about this...well, there are some liabilities am sure, but we are grown folk trying to make a change for the better and anything I, you, or anyone else for that matter should be aware of is their own liability if and when they dumpster dive, and this one area should not be a hindrance on anyone as it has been for many company’s to hold it against people in general. They keep doing what they do nonstop by throwing away many many usable items including food that can feed the hungry everyday. It doesn’t help the environment on what they keep doing. As it is, the not donating food that is expired due to lawsuits. That is insane! Not everything that has an expired date is technically expired or as it is with the ‘best used by’ whatever date. It says best use by...not expired, yet it gets thrown out too. I’ve not tried dumpster diving myself, but I think people should actually get paid to do it because it’s like another job. Cleaning out dumpsters for towns in making sure that usable items are not filling up our landfills. 💜✌🏼

They are people , and exactly like all people, many of them would not want something covered in spray paint and pulled out of a dumpster

Most of the stuff that ends up in the dumpster are insurance or manufacturer write offs. They are required to destroy the product. If they donate the goods to get a tax credit it can't be anything that was used for display or returned. The laws for tax deductions for businesses and people are very different.

Tips for removing the red spray paint: use hand sanitizer on a cloth and rub gently. It all comes off. On wood, like the cutting boards, leave it on for a few minutes. On clothing, re-treat with hand sanitizer, then wash. It might only leave a faint pink stain but the homeless and DV shelters need the blankets and other stuff. They really do not care.

One day, y’all should take a spray painted pillow or something and try it. If it works, you don’t have to worry about “damaged” treasures! Especially try it if the bags have just been thrown out. The paint would be fresher and have higher chances of getting out! Good luck 😁
