Brought back memories of my dad, ( 22 yrs REME ), trying to explain this and other electronic/ mechanical basics to me. Thank you for the smile this vlog put on my face
Hi Joe, this takes me back to my AC theory lessons in 1st year of my apprenticeship back in 1970. A 3phase motor will be significantly more compact than a single phase motor of the same horsepower. Well explained Joe , Ohms law is set in my mind along with plenty of usless information .🇦🇺😉
We owned a famous old foden bus built in 1959, it had a 6hlw Gardner engine that got 20mpg! We travelled all over Australia and never had a problem with it! This old bus was put together by the west Australian postal service to run through the outback from Perth to Kalgoorlie and up to Carnarvon then back to Perth! It also appeared in an iconic Australian movie which I’ve forgotten the name of! We took it over some of the worst roads imaginable! Deep sand and muddy fords and it just kept chugging on, that lovely engine still rings in my ears, I still tell people that they are the Rolls Royce of diesel engines,😊

As always, your teaching method and style demystifies something that I usually find very complex to understand. Thanks, Joe.

Very good video. Thanks for posting.
Hence why Showmen use Gardners
yes I am Lucky to have 3 phase as I live in the country in NZ same as the UK

Great information, thank you
Big respect to nikolai tesla, and the boys in Patricroft, much love Jo X rooby ,high voltage dc way forward for transmission.
In the uk 3 phase goes past every consumer, usually under the road .
