This rebuild reminds me a lot if what actually happened to the tigers in like 2006-2014. Good teams but could never really put it all together and win the WS

Your last season gave me flashbacks to 2012. Best starting pitching/best lineup for offensive production(on paper), all of a sudden the hitters couldn’t hit and the pitchers forgot how to pitch.

I figured out to work w Ohtani in the game and get him to do well. Kind of a requires some work on the your part, but here’s what to do:
I think he does poorly because I found that some of the games he pitches he’s not close to 100% in energy. It takes longer to fill up because he DHs. So basically before he starts you have to go in and check if his energy is filled up, if not you either move another pitcher up in his spot or replace him till he’s 100%.
But when you move him in or out of the rotation whoever goes in his rotation spot will also be slotted as the DH. This is the annoying part, so basically after you move him in the rotation you also have to put him back as DH. If you move him to pitch on the current day you’re on you won’t be able to put him at DH until you sim to the next day.

Ohtani has never come close to a sub-4.00 ERA in my sims. I feel like his stamina is f'd up and that causes him to pitch soooo poorly regardless of his ratings
From what I’ve noticed playing franchise, the CPU will automatically change players on your team if it thinks you have too many hitters/pitchers or not enough hitters/pitchers. It’s stupid that this happens on manual. You should be given a notification or something that you have to change the roster instead of the cpu doing it for you.
Do a rebuild where you hire the worst possible coaching staff and see if it actually affects player development lol
i think coaching staff just affects overalls not development

The tigers were actually really good up until like 2015 they could just never clutch anything to save their lives. Choked 2 World series in 6 years.

Players start losing attributes/overall when they’re young because they’ve reached their potential cap and the only other way to go is down. I wish they just stayed at the rating until they performed poorly, but the show doesn’t care about franchises mode enough to make it realistic.

@@lpreilly tigers got 5 of the top 10 prospects and got Matt Manning, Skubal, and Mize all dominating everyone. Once we buyout Miggy or his contract ends in 2023 then 2024 we’ll be great by.
