So you had $9,300 in gross sales. Would be nice to know what your Cost of Goods Sold is to sell that much and how you calculate it. Even if you give an overall COGS number that includes cost of raw materials and direct labour to sort, catalogue, add, and pick the orders, etc. I know you don’t want to reveal your internal detailed company numbers but a COGS number and what’s included in that would be neat. I’m not a Lego seller at all, but I’ve got a couple university accounting courses under my belt (most concepts long forgotten lol).
Yh, it's pretty tough being a full-time store this year. I mostly see the problem being linked with greedflation & the fact that the number of pieces being uploaded to BL has exploded! The BL market has been flooded. There are months with 4-5x the amount being put for sale compared to last year :/ I am sticking with the store and I am pretty sure that in a year or so, all the smaller stores will fall over & things will become better for those of us who are left over... I am feeling for you guys, who have people "employed". I am running the store solo for the foresee-able future!
Really good update. Do you see this as a profitable customer between the hours spent working, cost of parts and labor fees. Seems like you aren't earning much of a profit. Hope all is well. Haven't had an update in quite a while.
I really appreciate the sales recaps! I understand the hesitation and need to think carefully about what info to release to the youtube. Still, I'd love to hear more about how you decide what to pay for different types of work (cataloguing, order picking, B-sorting, etc). My store is getting to the point of expanding and using additional personnel and with such a niche industry it's very difficult to figure out how much to pay people for bricklink work. Thanks!!
I would like to know... is there a process for unsellable lego pieces. Ex. 1x2 plate in "neon clear" (lol) hasnt sold in a year. Do you hold on to it taken up space. Or do you get rid of it. Is it discounted then held or goes to bulk.
Is there way do graphs or something similar about what kind of parts sell well, slopes, plates etc. and what kind of expensive parts sell well. And what parts are hard to get to resell. Or get rid of.

Thanks for the video it’s always a good day when I can watch a new JUST A BRICK video.
About how many hours do you each spend working for your store each month?

Thanks for sharing your data.
Good job boys up to the next mond
