We sang these songs in school when I was a little girl and this was back in early 1970s in the east coast. Our fifth grade teacher taught us all the military songs.

The song is a traditional marching song of the German army, just like the famous Westerwald song. That's not illegal. It was written in 1930 and first published in 1938. It was written by Herms Niel who joined the NSDAP later but, by itself, it's not a N@zi song, nor is it banned in Germany.

Your mouth is dry because of all the booze you’ve drunk yesterday and you probably slept with your boxer and tank top so you are cold.
