the class and lovelyness in peoples voice back then saddens me lol i wish we had that now instead of everyone just like..sounding not like how people back then spoke.
True, this is how she naturally talks. But also note there was a particular accent that many (if not most) Hollywood actors and actresses from the 30s onward had to learn. They called it a transatlantic accent, I believe.
Yeah, that was the touching part of the interview. All the more that makes her great. Audrey is my fave actress and child's rights advocate. I also have my one and only son. What she feels about his son is typical of a mother.
Luna Audrey died the day before I turned one, idk why I’ve always felt this special/weird bond with her because of that. Every time I feel sad or overwhalmed I watch her movies and immediatly calm me down. The sound of her voice is just so soothing. She surely was an angel on Earth.
I'm a man and her sincerity and elegance disarm me. There is no pretense in her. You can see and hear a genuine and beautiful heart behind the outer beauty. Audrey's kind of inner beauty and grace reflect in her presence and that's what makes her a more than a stunner: a type of lady whom from the bottom of my heart I would want to love, marry and spend the rest of my life with. Thank you for your inspiration, Audrey.
but it's kinda sad that everyone remembers her for being elegant, and pretty, and nothing more. She was divorced twice, and had 2 kids from different men, which can be very hard, she was this icon who did lots of good charitable work for people who were starving from hunger world wide, and immunisation/ vaccination. She survived Nazi occupation, was even involved in the resistance to some extent, raised money for charity by dancing, and went hungry herself, but all people see is how skinny she looks, she witnessed Jews being murdered and round up, and came out of that traumatic experience strong. She was this feminist icon, and people reduce her to the pretty dresses she wore and nothing more. There was so much to this woman! Even the guy interviewing her here cares more about her movie than the actual charity taking place.
Aww, so lovely how her whole face lit up when asked about her son. Children of her own was always her greatest wish, and she'd been unlucky so many times, so before her second was born, her eldest really was her miracle. 💖
Any Chance i get to hear this beautiful woman speak I'll take, and I've never seen this video before. Audrey worked so hard for everything she had, she worked Extra Hard For The Children Of The World, Even When She Was ill....Towards The End...It's Ashame That She Never Got To Have More Time With Robert, From Everything Ive Read, He Was Her Soul Mate. May They Both Rest In Peace❤
Among the sweetest & loveliest women of all time (yes of all times!) SHE is the Queen. Kissed by God and sent to earth. Keeps us and many more generations to come dreaming on how a human being can be beautiful both inside and outside in almost 100 % of the meaning. Just amazing!
Audrey Hepburn was one of the most talented actresses back then and quite frankly still is with such a troubled past and has many accomplishments attached to her name. undoubtedly she deserves so much praise for her elegance and just her beautiful personality but you can praise her without bringing other people down! stop criticizing people five decades after. in case you weren't aware, times have changed for better and for worse in different walks of life. it's natural and only acceptable for things and ways of people to change with time. as someone who had to deal with unnecessary body shaming and stupid demeaning questions comparing her to other women, throughout her life, I'm sure Audrey wouldn't want any of this bashing.
@@davidpar2 take note, ignorant imbecile, not everyone appreciates a stranger telling half the population how to behave. (I don't actually find much wrong with the first statement, your comment is just infuriating)
Ailish pretty funny, considering bitchy feminists are constantly trying to tell the other half of the population, i.e. us men, how to behave. The Gillette commercial is a perfect, recent example. Don’t dish it out if you can’t take it
davidpar2 I would LOVE for you to google how many women are head of the Gillette management or marketing team. Please, indulge me! I think what you’ll find is that it was men telling men how to act. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it :(
Her's became a little deeper and a little scratchy. Of course the recording here, probably doesn't properly capture what her voice sounded like in person.
I agree with clout chaser below, that she speaks beautifully, whereas most modern actresses either have the American hard-edged whine or the patchy, weary-sounding 'vocal fry', that scratchy, croaky sound, both of which are tough on the ear. What on earth has happened?

@@cinderellacomplex7 Correct. It's the transatlantic accent; if you want to learn it, speak with distinction by Edith Skinner is the way to go.
Ataraxia Thank you! xx
Strange, I don't pick up a transatlantic accent. It just sounds like a well spoken English accent to me.
Ikr!!! Now people use so many "trendy words". No hate though to them
I love hearing her talk about her son, Audrey was a very loving, devoted mother, and her son Sean always called her “my best friend”

Audrey had bad relationships with her own mother.
A once in a lifetime STAR, and person. We never seem to appreciate LEGENDS, until they're gone RIP, Ms. Hepburn!
2019 and I'm still missing Audrey
Her mid atlantic/transatlantic accent is soo good❤️❤️💅
I was 4 years old when she passed away. I never met her but I love and miss her.
I was 4 years old too when she died....I just found that out today. Crazy to think that I was around when she still was ♡♡♡
I just got born a week after she died!:(

She is so lovely
as a young girl, this woman is my biggest inspiration in life
she's gorgeous! and I love the way they talk back then.
Audrey is sooo beautiful and amazing 😍❤😚👑
A beauty she was and always will be
2021 and we still miss Audrey Hepburn.
The epitome of timeless elegance and beauty.
I miss Audrey Hepburn! a legend!
Of all the woman to have ever walked on this planet, she would definitely be my first choice 😍
uncontrollable343 better than Marilyn or the Black Dahlia?
David Heller ohhh yes. Audrey was the definition of class. If you’d have said Grace Kelly, i may have had to think a little longer.
a shame we were born in the wrong time for her
@@cosmicsins6226 What's creepy about men fancying women. Sounds pretty normal to me.
Mine too

i wanted to jump through my screen and shut him up, she didn't finish any of her answers without him interrupting!

If u listen with ur heart, the, 'im not quite that way'. Sadness is felt..

A bit like Julia Roberts isn't it???

did her voice change with age? at some interviews it sounds very different
Voices usually change with age :)!

She's a taurus and taurus woman are the most beautiful!
You must be a Taurus , Because your are too
Ridiculous 🙄 lol
But she is beautiful
dude. stop shitting on every woman who’s not a Taurus. ALL women are beautiful. regardless of when you’re born. 🙄
Beauty doesn't depend on your star sign
He is sitting WAYYY too close... She is clearly not happy with it. He needs to scooooooot back!
lerche noire interviews used to be like that in the past
is it me, or does she sound kinda like Rarity...?
But it’s not the same color as mine? It must be darker than mine then .
Why the British accent was not as strong as people these days? Or is it just her?
It's not a fully brittish accent, seeing as she is half brittish half dutch, she has a kind of mix of both.
.....
