you probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Bryce Joshua thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
If you need the parking surveillance when the vehicle is turned off, One thing that can be done is connect the dash cam to a power bank. Simple as that. What say?
I have 20.000mah power bank, enough to record everything when your park, just remember to disable parking mode, so camera still recording if its connected to powerbank
So, for this trick, of course the camera always has power supply. Then, how can we make sure that the dash cam enter the parking mode after we switch off the car?
This feature not going to be useful in 99% of your parking but in that 1% you will be quite happy that you have this. When somebody bruise your parking car and try to get lost you have it's license plate number, car type, and also the time. When somebody tries to break in your car it would be useful as well. It's 100% that I going to buy a hard wire kit today, it could be very nice.
I guess the other factor is how interested your local police are going to be! I know that my local police would probably laugh at me if I arrived with a memory card with proof that someone had hit my car in a parking lot! But it's different everywhere. I can't see any use for my own situation, but it may be useful to others. Thank you for your comment!
@@zoltanzafir5575 It's not great. We had a guy come to fix the air conditioning some years ago. We left him alone in the bedroom for a while and afterwards my wife discovered some gold jewelry was missing. We went to the police and they were completely uninterested.
The biggest issue I have with parking surveillance mode is that it triggers whenever I return to the car. By the time I've opened the boot put in my shopping, opened the drivers door, sat down and turned on the ignition it has triggered a "parking event".
That's what I found. There is always a parking event because when you open and close the door to get back into the car it triggers a parking event. There's not much you can do. All you can do is set it to low sensitivity and try to close the door gently.
The fact that you idiots are complaining about a device doing what it’s programmed to do is beyond me. Oh no it recorded 50mb… out of 128gb as I installed…
My dash cam, 70 mai dash cam pro enters parking surveillance mode immediately after ignition off no matter what interval I choose (20, 3040 or 50 minutes). I tried the hardwire kit but it does the same. Enters parking surveillance mode immediately after ignition off. So shutting the driver's door triggers the surveillance video making the function useless. Because everytime I enter the car it alerts me that I have a parking surveillance video. And 99% of them are from me shutting the driver's door.
The parking mode on 70mai is useless, should start recording if someone walks near your car, try to imagine your neighbour scratches your car with a key, it not will be recorded! Just start recording if someone hits your car, it doenst make sense. Anyone knows a camera with this feature? Like movement sensor
not true if a man hit the front of the car dash cam will record his plate number or even his face as he tries to look the damage he did and drive away i dont know USA law when you run away from car accident but in the European Union you will lost your driving license.
Off topic answer. You are answering someone who clearly spoke of an event NOT involving an accident, i.e. without any knock on the vehicle: saesi even specifically gave the example of someone scratching the car paint with a key… bummer. saesi, to properly answer your question: yes, it exists. Search for dash cams with "motion detection" besides "impact detection".
It wasn't fantastic and 70mai were never really interested in releasing firmware upgrades to make the Pro better. However, they seem to have done a better job with the A500 model. I haven't got one yet, but it has time lapse that you can use in parking surveillance mode so you can see what happens before a parking incident. It's not as good as having a motion sensor, but it's an improvement.
Thanks for the review, I actually bought the camera after watching. But I can't seem to enable the parking mode to work only on the internal battery (as said in the video). Someone knows how to make it work without using the add-on cable?
Sorry for the delay. I have only just seen this notification. Some time after the video, 70mai made a firmware change that would only allow parking surveillance to work when the 70mai hardwire kit is used. I don't have a hardwire kit, and I stopped making firmware updates. If you have only just bought the camera, you will have the latest firmware and therefore you will need the 70mai hardwire kit if you want to use parking surveillance.
@@PhilUKNet hi can you tell me what firmware are you using. Maybe i can find old firmware to use parking Mode without hardware kit. Thank you. Do you have old firmware?
@ersintagram I'm using 1.0.6na. The update process is done via a phone, and I don't have a file with the firmware. I stopped doing firmware updates a long time ago. What I have works, and I don't want functionality taken away by using newer firmware. With the update process, there is no way to go back to a previous firmware version. I don't know where you will be able to find an old version. Your best bet might just be to install the hardwire kit.
Amazing video with amazing detail by an amazing man! Thank you very much. I actually need this feature and wanted to see if it has it. Idk what Xiaomi was thinking because it takes normal ppl 2-5 mins to leave the car. It usually takes 20-40 mins to get back to the car, so kinda defeats the purpose of having this option.
@@PhilUKNet haha love your humor too! Btw, awesome video quality: shallow depth of field, object in proper focus and so on. It doesn't go unnoticed is all I'm saying.
My other question is this: I live in a city where the temperature reaches 35-38°C in summer. Considering the extra heat that may occur inside the vehicle while parked, do you think this will cause a problem for the camera and the vehicle?
In southern Thailand, we get similar temperatures and I have never experienced a single heat related problem with my 70mai Pro. Neither have there been any problems with my wife's 70mai A800. That's my experience, anyway.
@@PhilUKNet Thank you very much for your answer sir. Yes, I researched Southern Thailand and their temperatures are really similar to our country. I also live in southern Turkey. However, when I get in the car and touch the camera, I see that it gets very hot, and since the device is battery-powered, this worries me. How many years have you been using the camera in hot weather?
Hi thanks for the thorough explanation. I have a question, if I park my car for about 10 hours, with low sensitivity, will the batery last for that 10 hours, and will it be able to get video of people putting stuff on my car instead of big collision?
I haven't carried out exhaustive testing, but it should be OK. When it is just monitoring it uses very little power. Each incident will record a 1 minute video and I've read that the internal 500 mAh battery should be good for 10-15 one minute videos. Regarding your other question, it will depend on how much force people use when putting things on you car. If they do it gently it probably won't trigger the G sensor, but if they slam something down it probably will. It will also depend on the sensitivity setting. Bear in mind that as the battery ages and especially if it is used in hot conditions the capacity will reduce.
I will ask because my English is not very good. I bought a 70MAI A400. What I am wondering is, when the dash cam senses a blow while the car is parked, will it make an emergency recording with its own battery, without the UP02 cable?
I believe that with newer 70mai models the parking surveillance feature will only work with the hardwire kit. With older models (like mine) parking surveillance will work without the hardwire kit, but you only get 10-15 minutes recording time with the internal battery.
@@Turgineer 40 minutes is good. I haven't tested it myself, but in the past I have read a lot of comments that say 10-15 minutes. I don't have a hardwire kit, but I plug the camera into an outlet that is live all the time even with the ignition off. I can use this to operate parking surveillance, but I understand that 70main changed the firmware in later versions so that you have to use the hardwire kit.
Can you tell me, what is the best resolution day/night to use. I am having problems to choose. I think that the biggest resolution isnt the best option because at night it doesnt gives any advantages!
It's really a personal choice. I do all of my video editing at 1280x720 so this is what I have set on the dash cam. 1920x1080 is bigger than I usually work with so it's unnecessary for me. The only advantage I can see with a higher resolution is being able to read license plates at a greater distance. The highest resolutions are only available with H.265 (2592x1944, 2560x1440, 1920x1080), but none of my software can handle H.265 so I use H.264. I didn't want to get in a situation where it was necessary to change settings depending on whether it was day or night. I just wanted one setting for everything and that setting is H.264 at 1280x720.
@@PhilUKNet I have used the max resolution and still I am not able to read licence plates at night in most situation. That is why I asked about. I also tried 1440p and 1080p they are same when I talk about night and reading licence plates. That is why i ask about resolution comparing.
can you help me! I installed 70 mai pro plus + the back camera (i connected everything to circuit breakers, I have electricity- before and after ignition+ hardwire kit etc) and sometimes I cannot enter the parking mode as it says I need to connect the wire something like that and sometimes when I turn the car off it says that the parking mode will turn on in 5 minutes but after 5 mins nothing is happening (it’s like the camera is off) I was hitting/ moving the car to imitate movement/ damage of the car but still it didn’t turn on????
I don't think I can help you, unfortunately. The message about connecting a wire, I believe, has to do with using a hardwire kit, but you already have a hardwire kit. Is it a 70mai hardwire kit? They changed the firmware a few years ago so that you couldn't use parking mode without a hardwire kit. Perhaps they coded it so that the camera only recognises a 70mai hardwire kit? I don't know. If you're not using a70mai hardwire kit, perhaps you could try using one? It's a common complaint that the G-sensor isn't very sensitive. When I was doing my own testing, I had to slam the door very hard in order to trigger a parking event. The camera has some sensitivity settings. Make sure that the sensitivity for parking mode is set to high. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to suggest.
I haven’t done this myself, but I've received comments from other people who have. Be aware that 70mai changed the firmware some time ago so that surveillance mode will only work if the camera is connected to a hardwire kit. If you buy a new camera, parking surveillance won't work if you are just using the internal battery or a power bank.
Excellent review, greetings from Greece.Just ordered this dash cam set, hopefully in order to catch one particular neighbor who scratces my car for no reason at all.Wanted to ask you when in parking surveilance mode, you get video by both cameras or just the front one? Thanks in advance...
Thanks! This particularly dash cam cannot use a rear camera. More recent models, such as the 70mai Pro Plus+ and the 70mai A800 can use a rear camera. Yes, with emergency events and parking events the video records back and front. One thing that people complain about is that the parking sensor isn't very sensitive. It's possible that if someone was deliberately trying to damage your car the G-sensor wouldn't detect any impact and wouldn't trigger an event. There is a sensitivity setting, which you probably need to set to high for parking surveillance. I hope you catch him!
Hi all, would like to ask parking surveillance, time laps mode, does it record back video too? I found out time laps only record front video . Back video not available?
Hi, I bought 70mai A800 4K dash cam. In this parking surveillance function cant enabel its saying "70mai parking surveillance cable is not installed. Can not use parking surveillance function. Install the cable, then start it in dash cam settings" Pl explain
It sounds as if you are trying to use it without an external power source. You need to connect it to the car battery when the ignition is off. Use a 12v supply that is live with the ignition off or use a hard wire kit.
Mario Romano It starts to work 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes after turning the camera off depending which value you choose. It will then work for as long as there is battery power.
@@PhilUKNet This is actually not true. It immediately enters the Parking Surveillance mode as soon as it is turned off. This option is for something else.
@@nikolarajkovic9446 Do you know what the something else is? I apologize if I have given false information, but I defend myself on the basis that the user instructions are completely useless.

"Parking surveillance cable is not detected. Please enable the parking surveillance function after connecting the cable." I am getting error sir, so what should I do now?
@@PhilUKNet No sir, there is no 70mai hardware kit. Since it could damage the battery in the long run, I preferred to use it directly connected to the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle.
@@Cht-io7hg That's the problem. 70mai changed the camera firmware so that you can only enable parking surveillance with a hardwire kit installed. Mine is connected to an outlet in the car that is always live, but I can enable parking surveillance because I'm using an old version of firmware.
@@PhilUKNet I understand..I bought it precisely because of this feature. However, the change of this software was sad for me. So do you think that installing this 70mai hardware kit may cause the car battery to die?
@Cht-io7hg I don't have a hardwire kit, but from what I have read, they prevent your battery from dying. They monitor the voltage, and when it gets too low, they turn off the camera in order to preserve your battery.
Does it activate P recording only if it has a collision? Does it activate if there is any movement in front of the car? Looked at some models that activates when is a movement in front of camera, like a motion sensor. Because like the way 70mai is it will record as a P event even when you enter at car and drive
There's no motion sensor so it can't detect movement. It has an accelerometer that detects impact. There is a delay when it goes into parking mode so that closing the doors doesn't record an incident. However, when you return to the car and open and close doors it records a parking incident.
Hello sir, I bought the same A500 proplus camera in front of me and behind me from the agency, Baghdad, but I have a question and I need your help, please. It is for emergency photography. It only records from the car and connects it to the electricity. But if the car is turned off, the emergency photography does not work. Shake the car, hit the door or the box hard, but I will record your advice, kindly..... Just a piece of information that I updated the camera through the application. Thank you in advance and thank you for the explanation
I think you're referring to parking surveillance with the engine turned off. You therefore need to enable parking surveillance and to do this with the latest firmware you need to have a hardwire kit installed. Have you done this? There's also another problem with the G-sensor not being very sensitive and when you rock the car or slam the door it doesn't always trigger a parking event.
Hi mine is a A500s. My setting is 5min auto off when engine is off. But sometimes it won't turn on automatically when I start my engine again say in an hour's time. But if i park long enough say overnight about 6 to 8 hours it will turn on automatically. The connection is directly to the fuse. Hope u can advice. Thanks.
Sorry Christina, I can't help you. Sorry. 🥺 I don't have an A500 and I don't have a hardwire kit. Mine is wired to a circuit that is always live and I added a switch to turn the camera on and off manually. Furthermore, I gave up with ADAS and parking surveillance a long time ago. I just use my 70mai Pro as a basic dashcam now to get evidence if I have an accident. Your problem sounds strange. Why does it work after 6-8 hours, but not after 1 hour? I don't know. Hope you can get it sorted out.
So what happens if you turn car off and walk away and someone's hits your car within 5min whilst in parking mode? Will it capture or have to wait 20min?
I got this wrong. The menu description isn't clear and my assumption was wrong. When you turn off the camera with parking surveillance enabled it goes straight into surveillance mode, so if someone hits you after 5 minutes it will be detected. That option turns off the camera automatically after a set time if the camera is connected to the car battery and goes into parking mode if you have parking surveillance activated. Apologies for the confusion. After I found out I did follow up with another video.
May i ask, is that adhesive works well on the windscreen? Easily to fell off? I am currently using those suction type, so not sure of this "stick-on" type. Pls advice. Many thanks
It's really good. I use a suction cup for my GPS and it falls off periodically. I thought the same would happen with the dash cam, especially with so much sun, but no problems. The adhesive they provide is immensely strong. If you stuck it straight on the windscreen you probably couldn't get it off. To solve this they give you an electrostatic sticker. You attach the sticker electrostatically to the windscreen and then use the adhesive to stick the dash cam to the sticker, not directly to the windscreen. I installed it in April and now, 7 months later, there haven't been any problems at all. If I need to get it off, theoretically it should be fairly simple to remove the electrostatic sticker. So don't worry, it's a very effective way of attaching the dash cam.
It won't. The camera has a G sensor, which is triggered by the physical movement that occurs when there is impact. It doesn't work like a PIR sensor that can detect motion in the field of view.
That was a comment I wasn't expecting! If you're referring to my watch, it's a mechanical Citizen dive watch that I bought in Phuket, Thailand in 1996 for 5,000 Thai Baht. I was a scuba diver at the time, but asthma and failing eyesight put an end to that hobby. I actually returned to Thailand in 2003 to live permanently. I'm still here and I still wear the same watch every day!
Not without detaching the camera from the windscreen, which isn't convenient. The lens tilts up and down slightly facing forward, but it can't be turned enough to point inside the car.
I just purchased this Camera and installed the Hardwired kit. Problem is I can not connect to wifi of cam when I am inside of my house 10 feet away from where car is parked. WiFi won't connect unless I remotely turn car on and camera boots up, then and then only can I connect via WiFi from the inside of of my house being 10 feet away. Do you know why it won't connect via WiFi even though I have this camera hard wired with constant power on? Also When I go in reverse the Camera seems to see injects moving forward and says movent detected on car ahead, which makes no sense as I am going in reverse 😳 Seems this Camera still has bugs in it? Also wish rear Camera would kick in when I am going in reverse, but it won't and I have to manually press for rear camera on screen. Camera now had an update and front camera can now record in 4k with rear camera at 1080p before update, front camera can only record in 2k and rear in 1080p , So I guess that's a start. Now the WiFi not connecting while I am only 10 feet away from inside of my house where car is parked is a deal breaker for me, I shouldn't have to power on Camera with ignition of car just to connect via WiFi of Camera , that is a deal breaker for me as I bought this to catch all the dings and dents I am getting from neighbors hitting my car while parking their cars parallel to mine. From inside of my home. So basically app only works when ignition is on car and I am near by :o/ Great detailed video. Thanks for sharing.
You mentioned 4k and a rear camera so you must have the new 70mai A800 camera. It has new features, but the basics seem to be the same as the 70mai Pro. What I think is happening is that when you turn off the ignition the cam goes into parking surveillance mode. Even though you have the hard wire kit, the camera goes into a kind of sleep mode to preserve battery power and it will only turn on if the accelerometer detects a collision, at which time it will turn on and record a parking incident video. In this parking surveillance mode the Wi-Fi hotspot isn't turned on. As you say, if you start the car it turns on the camera and then you can then use the Wi-Fi. If you want to use the Wi-Fi all the time you will need to leave the cam on, but over an extended period this could drain your battery. Bear in mind that the Wi-Fi hotspot doesn't have a great range. I'm not sure what the range is, but I only ever use it while I am sitting in the car. From what you describe, I think it is working as designed. I also believe it is correct that the rear camera has a lower resolution.
When a parking incident occurs the camera records a single clip. The clip length depends on the setting you have chosen - 1, 2 or 3 minutes. It will continue doing this whenever it detects a parking incident. When the card is full, it will start to overwrite old clips. This, of course, depends how big the memory card and what resolution you have chosen. Larger resolutions make bigger files.
Thankyou Phil UK for talking on this particular feature. However I would like to ask you a question that what is the lowest intensity event that have or can trigger the parking surveillance video. Actually shuting doors is strong enough to trigger it.
The sensitivity can be changed between 'high' and 'low' and there are two sensitivity settings - one for normal driving and one for parking surveillance. For normal driving I find that the 'high' setting is too sensitive and just driving over some rumble strips can cause a false event. For normal driving I have it set to 'low'. I don't really use parking surveillance, but when I do I have it set to 'high' so that it is more sensitive. On the 'high' setting an event is triggered when you close a door. Whenever I return to the car with parking surveillance on the dash cam always tells me there has been a parking incident. This is because when I open and close the door to get in it triggers an incident. If you have it set to 'low' and open and close doors very gently it may not trigger an incident. Thanks for your comment!
Jason This would actually be more useful. All the damage my car has received while parked has been at the back and sides, not front. However, it would mean buying another camera.
hello, well actually my 70 MAI A*))S works great, even in the parking mode..both rear and front works great...the only thing that you must do is to connect the main front camera connection to the fuse box and not to the cigarette lighter port...it should be on the fuse box. there and there both front and rear will work properly..it wont drain your battery at all. i have been having the 70MAI -A800S for more than a year already and still works perfectly. even in an accident...specially the rear...it works both ends... but if your 70 MAI is connected to the cigarette car port..then that will not work both front and back it will only be activated when you start the car but when your n a parking mode..it will not work
Some lighter ports are only live when the ignition is on, some permanently. Mine is on all the time. I understand that 70mai released firmware so that parking mode can only be used if a hardwire kit is installed, but my camera doesn't have that firmware. Glad to hear your camera is working well!
@@PhilUKNet hi..got your message, actually mine is not, but before when it was connected to the lighter socket, it turns off totally since engine is turned off, but when it was connected directly to the fuse box- then the parking surveillance worked properly even it was not updated before yet...but in case, u can update it on the app..as long as the wifi of the 70MAI-A800S is connected on your phone- so...go to the 70mai APP- click those 3 tiny dots on the upper right hand- then click firmware update. I am really confused. Does the parkings mode record every single minute? Does it record only when an impact is detected? Does it record when it detects someone or something move within the field of view of the camera? Could anyone explain? Thnx
The camera contains an accelerometer (G-sensor) which detects physical motion, not movement of something within the field of view of the camera. The kind of motion that is caused by another car hitting your car and making an impact. There are two sensitivity settings - high and low. On low it shouldn't do anything for small impacts, but on high it should trigger for a small impact. When it triggers it will record a video and the duration of the video will depend on what setting you have chosen in the camera - 1, 2 or 3 minutes. So, no it doesn't record every single minute. It just records a 1, 2 or 3 minute video after the camera detects an impact. From comments I have received a lot of people aren't satisfied with this. One problem is that it doesn't detect movement without impact and another is that it doesn't record anything before the impact so you don't see what led up to the impact. Additionally, it will only record what happens in front of the car where the camera is pointing. Some later 70mai cameras can also accept a rear camera, which is better, but if someone crashes a car or shopping trolley into the side of your car you won't see anything, even if you have two cameras. Sorry for the delay replying. RUclips didn't notify me of your comment, which I just found in RUclips Studio, and also my Internet at home has been down for five days.
Hi there. I know there are some mounting stickers in the box. But question to people who already use this cam. Is it possible to repeatedly unmount the cam and mount again? I mean it is quite dangerous to keep such device in the car when you leave it on the street. I'm used to not keep anything valuable and visible in my car. So that I would like to detach it when leaving and mount again and I'm afraind it's not possible with this cam. But I very like this 70mai pro.
Daniel, I gave you some bad information yesterday. Sorry. The actual camera doesn't stick directly to the electrostatic sticker. If you haven't got the GPS module they give you a small mounting plate. You stick the mounting plate to the sticker and then you slide the camera on to the mounting plate. It is therefore very easy to remove and reattach the camera from the mounting plate. If you have the GPS module you attach the GPS module to the sticker instead of the mounting plate and use it to mount the camera. Apologies for this. I have the GPS module and don't use the mounting plate, and I forgot about this when I replied previously.
@@danielurbanek7533 I try to help! It makes me feel really bad when I tell someone something that is wrong. In one of my other videos I have a clip of the mounting plate and the GPS module - ruclips.net/video/EQgxQfn4ChI/видео.html But to answer your original question, whether you have the GPS module or not, the camera is easy to slide on and off.
I had so many problems with firmware updates that eventually I gave up some time ago. Also, if I updated the firmware I would no longer be able to use parking surveillance because I don't have a hardwire kit. When the 70mai Pro first appeared the promotion material showed a time lapse feature, but it didn't exist on the camera. Interesting to hear that they have now added it. One of the criticisms of parking surveillance is that it doesn't record anything before a parking incident. It only starts recording when the G sensor is activated. With time lapse you should now be able to record footage all the time and not use too much battery power. Thanks for the heads up about the firmware update. I will give some thought as to whether I want to upgrade or not.
I only have the 70mai Pro, therefore I can't make a comparison with another model. However, I am satisfied with the image quality of the 70mai Pro and it is also quite small and discreet. The best position is central and high on the windscreen, which happens to be behind the rear view mirror. If you have a fairly large mirror it will hide the dash cam completely.
this item is really good and it records emergency on parking in case of any movement. I love this 70mai A800, it really works good and parking surveillance really works ok!! you only have to buy the hard wire kit and that works good!!
Thanks for your feedback. My feelings about 70mai products is that the hardware and construction are good, but the support and after-sales care are very poor. Parking surveillance works on the A800, but it doesn't record footage from the rear camera for parking and emergency incidents. They also omitted voice control with the A800, which is incredibly useful. They could improve functionality enormously with firmware updates, but my experience with the 70mai Pro is that they aren't interested. All they seem to be interested in is releasing and selling new products. Anyway, I'm glad to hear you are pleased. I'm still using the Pro and my wife still has the A800. They're fine as basic cameras, but they could have been a LOT better if 70mai was interested in supporting existing products.
@@PhilUKNet yes sir, that's true and thank you for the reply, actually i think the back rear camera also records any footage in cases, with the parking surveillance on, ( using the hardwire kit of the 70 mai A800) which i also purchased and have it installed, i suppose it works also, i tried knocking the front and rear windshield after parking in about 10 mins. and it recorded on emergency parking and red light shows. but yes, i suppose they have to update the firmware, its good so far for my use, well hopefully they update the firmware to have the functions more reliable
I disagree, my car was hit this morning or night while parked with A800s and hardwire kit installed, the front left wing bent, some scuffs and paint traded on front bumper and front left headlight unit. Camera didn't record anything. Weird, how such an impact did not trigger it, or was it somebody INCREDIBLY stupid, doing this damage by gently, and slowly crushing my car with his ? so it would then make sense why G sensor didn't trigger. By the way guys, hitting your window is a big no no for testing, as you test just the G-sensor is working, not if actual accident will be recorded. Try bumping, jumping, or deliberately falling on the hood of your car. Imitate a reckless driver parking her 5 meter tall jeep while being legally blind and stupid, and hits your car because she bought her license yesterday.
So does the A800/A800s front and rear cams record video on Parking Surveillance Mode/Emergency Recording or not? Can you guys confirm it? It's not really useful if it only records the front under the surveillance mode/emergency recording imo
Hi phil great video! My g sensor is not working if i open/close the door or shake the car... If i tap the camera it starts recording... Is there any solution !? Already updated! And high senitiv!
Sorry for the delay. RUclips has stopped sending me notifications. Several people have commented on this and when I made a video to test parking surveillance I had the same problem. Sometimes I really slammed the door and it still didn't detect anything. If it works when you tap the camera it seems that the G sensor is working, but it isn't sensitive enough to detect a parking incident. If you have already changed the sensitivity setting there's not much else you can do 🥺 The camera in my wife's car has the opposite problem. The G sensor kept recording emergency videos for a collision every time she went over a bump. I had to put the setting on low sensitivity to stop this. The G sensor is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
Brian Kiever Audio recording, there's also a button on the dash cam to turn it on and off. The default setting is just video with audio disabled but when you enable this option it records sounds in the car.
Hi, nice video. I have some questions: 1 - Please tell me if right now are u directly connected to the fusebox? If yes the webcam will be constantly under voltage, and how that knows when the engine is off or not 2 - If the parking surveillance started, and you are opening the door then close it. It will give u a notification every time? or you have to slam the door for that to happen? 3 - What will happen if you close your car with surveillance mode activate and you are connected to power directly from the fusebox not via ignition on, it will start in 20 minutes? But I see this very annoying what will happen if someone hits your car under 20 minutes? Thanks for your presentation!
Hi! 1. It's not connected directly to the fuse box, but it's connected to a circuit that's live all the time even with the ignition off. I wired in a rocker switch so that I can turn it on and off. Sometimes I forget to turn it on and sometimes I forget to turn it off. 2. There are two sensitivity settings in parking surveillance mode. If it's on the high setting it senses a door being closed every time. If it's on the low setting and you close the door gently it may not sense anything. 3. The 20 minute wait is strange. Really, it only needs to be five minutes. I have tested this and if an incident occurs before it is active nothing is recorded. 20 minutes seems too excessive. Thanks for your comment!
@@PhilUKNet Hi and thanks for your quick response. I think that 20 minutes applies only if the power is constantly and the gyro sensor is not triggered for 20 minutes, not apply when the power goes off like ignition. Thanks for your sharing
@@Matrix21rms I've received similar comments before and the manual isn't clear. My camera is connected to the car battery permanently with the ignition off. I did a test and it wasn't active before 20 minutes. I don't use parking surveillance or ADAS now, I just use it as a basic camera.
@@MyDanron It used to, but not now. 70mai changed the firmware so that parking surveillance can only be activated if the camera is connected to a hardwire kit.
I don't speak much English. How many seconds does it record if another car hits our car? What does 20,30,40,50 minutes mean? Also is the collusion sensitivity? When we use the "Take Video" voice command, it records how many minutes of video. How can we stop recording after the voice command?
With the latest version of firmware you can choose video lengths of 1, 2 or 3 minutes. If there is a collision, or if you use the voice command "Record video" you get an extra 30 seconds. These events are classed as emergency videos and go into a separate folder. Example: If you choose a 1 minute video length and the video is at 59 seconds when you start an emergency video the total video length will be 1:29. You don't need to stop the recording, it will stop automatically after 30 seconds. There are three settings for collision sensitivity - high, low, disable. High is very sensitive and just driving over some rumble strips is enough to set off an emergency video so now I have mine on the low setting. This should record an emergency video in the event of a real collision, but shouldn't be sensitive enough to record false collisions. Regarding 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes, this is a bit controversial at the moment. I understood this to mean that parking surveillance becomes active 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes after you switch off the camera. However, I have received some comments that I am wrong and that it starts immediately. I have just started doing some testing and I don't think I am wrong. When I get time I will do some more extensive testing and will probably make another video to clarify this issue. Hopefully, this will be fairly soon.
@@Freeman11 Don't worry! Collusion has a different meaning, but English isn't your first language. I hope you get on well with your new dash cam. From comments I've received some people like it, some people hate it. My opinion is that it's reliable and the basic functions work very well. The more advanced functions aren't great and support isn't good, either. The user instructions are very vague and I've had lots of grief with the firmware update process. It's a mixture of good and bad, but overall it does what I want it to do and so far it hasn't gone wrong.
Phil UK Net thanks, if i didnt get it wrong, collision sensitivity for on way crashes. Parking surveillance is car parking crashes. It also starts 20-50 minutes late according to the setting made in parking mode. because when you get out of the car, when you carry things, it does not start video recording. The sd card I ordered will probably arrive in 2-3 days from the cargo.
@@Freeman11 That's right. Collision sensitivity for driving collisions - high, low, disabled. Parking surveillance sensitivity for incidents while the car is static - high, low. I started testing the delay today and the parking surveillance mode doesn't become active immediately, as some people have claimed. I will do some more tests soon. I have mine set to 20 minutes, but most of the time I don't use parking surveillance.
I don't have a hardwire kit, but with a kit your camera will be powered by the car battery when the ignition is off. This will be better than using the internal camera battery which is only rated at 500 mAh and won't last long in parking mode.
As far as I'm aware, no. The only hope is that 70mai will allow you to do this in a future firmware update. Initially, it wasn't possible to remove the 70mai logo from video, but a firmware update made this possible.
There are two issues. Firstly, in parking surveillance mode a parking incident is triggered by movement - normally a collision. If the vandal scratches your car very gently it won't trigger an incident. Secondly, the camera will only record what it is pointing at. If the vandal causes enough movement to trigger an incident and scratches your bonnet (hood) it will be recorded. However, if he is gentle and/or runs a key along the side of your car it won't be recorded. It's theoretically possible that someone scratching your car can be detected, but I think that in real use it is quite unlikely.
As I understand it, a hardwire kit measures the voltage and turns off automatically if the voltage gets too low to prevent the battery draining. It shouldn't drain the battery any faster than not using one.
I haven't done it myself, but I've received many comments from other people that they are using power banks. It sounds like a reasonable idea, but one person mentioned the safety aspect about leaving power banks in hot cars. The best way would be to get a hardwire kit and connect it to the car battery when the ignition is off.
Eventually, yes, but it's going to take a very long time. In monitoring mode the unit uses very little power and there is only one minute of actual recording for each parking incident. I have accidentally left the unit on in normal mode while not using the car and thus recorded constantly for almost 48 hours without depleting the battery.
I used 1 minute because prior to firmware 1.0.6na there was no choice. Firmware version 1.0.6na gave users the choice of 1, 2 or 3 minutes. I'm now using 2 minutes. There's not a 'best' option. Users can now choose what is the best option for them individually.
I have read that the internal battery is good for 10-15 minutes of actual recording time. While monitoring in parking mode without actually recording the camera shouldn't use much power. Each parking incident triggers a one minute video, therefore if there aren't many incidents the battery will last longer. If there are lots of incidents it won't last very long. How long exactly? I don't know - it's an impossible question to answer. If using parking mode for an extended period I would suggest using the car battery or another power source. Comments I've received suggest that some people are using power banks, with one person even using a solar cell to keep the battery charged. If you leave your car for a few hours the internal battery should be fine, but if you leave it in an airport car park for a couple of weeks it will probably be dead when you return.
@@yousefmohamad7368 Maybe, but probably not. There's an accelerometer (G meter) inside that detects physical movement. The idea is that when the car is hit the G meter detects movement and starts the video. The problem is that it isn't very sensitive. A lot of people complain about the lack of sensitivity. When I was doing some testing I had to slam a door really hard to trigger a parking event. If someone knocks a side mirror, depending on the severity of the impact, it may trigger an event or it may not.
No. It has an accelerometer (G sensor) that can only detect movement when something hits the car and makes it move. If the car/camera doesn't actually move, it doesn't detect anything.
I don't think so. There are a couple of problems with this. Firstly, prior to firmware version 1.0.6na, files were only one minute long. After this firmware update you get the option of 1, 2 or 3 minute long files. There's nothing stopping you from stitching all the files together using a video editor to make one long video, but it will take a while. Your second problem is the memory card capacity. 70mai say that 64GB is the largest card size, although some people say they have used 128GB successfully. I use a 32GB card and it starts to overwrite after about 3 hours. Of course, memory card capacity depends on the resolution and codec that you select, but 9-10 hours with any combination is probably doubtful.
Unfortunately not 🥺. It will point ⬆️ slightly and it will point ⬇️ enough to see the top of the dashboard, but it can't be rotated 🧭 180° to point inside the 🚗. Sorry 😥
Mine is connected to a 12v outlet in the car and I haven't done a connection to the fuse box. If you get a hardwire kit there should be instructions. You'll need to route the cable through the bulkhead into the engine bay, go into the fuse box and piggyback off a suitable connection. Sorry I can't give you more details, but there will be lots of videos on RUclips.
You don't need to, but the camera only has a 500 mAh battery and you won't get a lot of recording time. If you leave the car for a day or two and there are few incidents it will be OK. If you leave it in an airport car park for a couple of weeks and there are lots of parking incidents then the battery probably won't last. But it will work standalone without being hardwired.
@@blacknbluechannel8812 You're welcome. I've had a few comments about using power banks and even a solar cell in order to use it for an extended time in parking surveillance mode without hard wiring to the car battery. The built-in battery should be adequate most of the time, but bear in mind that the battery capacity will reduce over time, especially in that Australian sun!
@@blacknbluechannel8812 It's bad enough in Thailand, but Australia is far worse. I took a road trip from Canberra to Melbourne in 1990 and the heat was unbelievable. It very rarely exceeds 40C where I live and I can't even imagine what it feels like when it gets close to 50C!
would anyone happen to know if i leave this in the car plugged in to the 12v socket. Will it drain my car battery if i dont start the car for around 2 or more days? Im more worried about the car battery drain situation. thanks
I have the dash cam hard wired into a permanently live circuit with an on/off switch. I quite often forget to turn it off and when I did this on one occasion I didn't use the car for a couple of days so it was recording continuously for around 48 hours. When I started the car it started normally with no problems at all. I have a 90 Ah battery and it was replaced at the beginning of the year so it is still in fairly good shape. If you leave the camera in parking mode it shouldn't cause any problems at all because it will be using very little power.
Hi How can we hardwire 70mai pro to car battery? Do they provide accessories with it? Is it "Do by yourself " procedure or do we need a experts help? Thank you for this awsome vedios
Phil - Thank you so much for your detail videos on 70mai Pro. What do you think if we install two 70mai Pro cams facing to front and back of a car, regardless of the costs of 2 cams since the picture images are so clear comparing to others on market, we are able to capture motions, or impact to a car front, left and right and back. Would it be possible to share two cams with one wire going to a cigaret light or a fuse box?
A few people have suggested this and it seems like a good idea. One at the back would be useful for rear end collisions and it would also be good for parking surveillance. ADA$ wouldn't work because it assumes the camera is front facing, but that's not a problem. Just don't bother with a GPS module for the rear camera. I'm not sure how much current is drawn by the cam, but not a lot and two cams on one circuit should be OK. I bought a pair of 12V sockets and wired them into the auxiliary circuit. I only use one, but it would be perfect for 2 cams. s.lazada.co.th/s.0UIzE Thanks for your comment!
@@PhilUKNet Hello Phil - Please help. I'm confused what fuse slot to choose when connecting hardwiring kit to a 70Mai cam. Should I use a slot that still has power when the ignition turned off and what voltage 10 or 15? Thanks so much! My order of two 70 Mai cams (for front and back) should be here about 7-10 days.
@@swathom99 I'm no expert on car electrics, but I'll try to help. Firstly, switched or not-switched with the ignition is up to you. A non-switched circuit will give you car battery power when the vehicle is parked for extended parking surveillance, but you need to remember to manually switch the cam on and off each time. It's easy to forget - I forget all the time. I use a non-switched circuit which has power all the time, but I also wired in a rocker switch to turn the cam on and off. If the cam is on a switched circuit the cam goes on and off automatically when you drive the car and you don't need to remember to turn it on and off. There are pros and cons with both methods. The voltage is the same on all circuits. It is the current that changes. I understand that a 2 Amp fuse is recommended for dash cams, but they actually draw less than an Amp. I don't use a separate fuse for my dash cam. I just hardwired it into the 12V auxiliary power supply, which has its own fuse. This is the same circuit the cam would use if you just plugged it straight in to the 12V socket, but I have wired in a separate socket exclusively for the dash cam so that the regular socket is still available for other devices. The additional socket I wired in is also located underneath the dash out of sight so it looks better with no wiring visible. Professional installers may disagree with what I have done, but it works fine and I don't believe there are any problems with safety or reliability.
Hi Phil. Many thanks for this awesome review. Can you please explain to me how can I upgrade it to the latest software release? ver 1.0.5na on it. Thanks.
Thanks for your comment. You need to use your mobile phone as a staging device and do it via the 70mai app, which I assume you have downloaded already. Connect your phone to the Internet, go into the play store and find the 70mai app. If an update is available, you will see options to Uninstall or Update. (Strangely, as I was typing this comment I got a msg on my phone saying that a 70mai update was available!) Press Update. The app version I have just downloaded is V1.4.1. Prior to doing this update, I was on V1.4.0. Now take your phone to your dash cam. Turn on the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot. To do this, press the button on the right and Wi-Fi hotspot is the first option. On your phone go into network settings and connect Wi-Fi to the dash cam hotspot. Open the 70mai app and choose the option to connect the app to your device. If a new firmware version is available it will tell you so and give you instructions how to push the update to the dash cam. Not every app update contains a new firmware version. The one I just downloaded didn't and I am still on firmware version 1.0.6na. Someone told me that 1.0.7na was available and I thought it would be included in this latest app update, but I am not seeing the msg telling me that new firmware is available. I hope this helps.
great video. Theres a huge lack of parking monitor videos on here so thankful this is on here. Its not really a good scenario slamming multiple doors though. Would it detect if 1 single car opened their door and it slammed into this? Cheers
Thanks for your comment. I probably need to make a third video about parking surveillance because of some controversy over one of the settings and some comments I have received. I don't quite understand your question, but there is s sensitivity setting that you can switch between high and low. The high setting makes it more sensitive and will record smaller collisions. Is this what you meant?
@@PhilUKNet Cheers Phil, yeah thats pretty much it. So my current & previous cars have ended up with tons of tents, knocks, scrapes down the size & all sorts. Recently someone reversed into the front of my car and knocked the number plate off it. Its nearly 99% of the time due to bad drivers in car parks. Id come back after shopping and find a car door dent in the side of it. Its cost me over £1000 over the years getting these all fixed up & whenever you go to get the CCTV footage from the car park. the camera is facing the wrong way so i need a camera which will record front & back when im not in the car but the recording will have to be either a timelapse at 1fps or based on detection. I was just worried that if the detection was not exactly a crash then it might not realise.
@@stef2282 I have also suffered dents and dings in car parks, but they are always at the back or side out of view of the camera. In addition, even if I had video evidence I'm not convinced I could do anything about it. I only have the 70Mai and I haven't researched other cameras. Some of the people who have left comments have researched the market and it seems that some other cameras have much better features for parking surveillance, such as motion detection. For the reasons I gave above parking surveillance isn't that important to me, but if it is important to you then another camera may be more suitable.
@@PhilUKNet Great Thanks a lot mate. There probably is much better but because there so many its really tough to work out which is capable of doing the job. Ill read through the comments though
Thanks for the video, very clear. Does it possible to detect if someone tries to scratch the car in this recording mode? i am considering it for vandalism acts.
Possibly, but there are two issues. Firstly, a video is activated when the G sensor detects motion. If someone scratches your car with light pressure this won't be enough to trigger a video. Secondly, the camera faces forward so someone scratching the side of your car won't be recorded. If someone is really heavy-handed and vandalises the front of your car there's a good chance they will be recorded, but people could do a lot of damage elsewhere on the car and not be recorded. It's a sad world we live in when we have to protect our property from being deliberately vandalised.
@@PhilUKNet Thanks for your answer. I was considering putting the camera on the rear headrest for covering the most angle vision possible obviously behind it won´t be recorded. But mainly what worries me is the sensitivity of this camera. If the camera is able to record when detects a movement of a person close to the car I think is a good investment, that's my doubt
@@pits5013 It can't detect motion of a person near the car. It has an accelerometer inside and can only detect physical movement when something or someone hits your car hard enough to trigger the sensor. There are two sensitivity settings - high and low. From your description it seems that the camera won't do what you want. Other people have also wanted the same thing and I believe it is available in other cameras, but not 70Mai.
You can't actually protect a file per se, but what you can do is turn the video into an emergency video, which will then be stored in a different ('Event') folder. Regular files in the 'Normal' folder are overwritten quickly but - unless you make a LOT of emergency videos - emergency videos in the 'Event' folder will stay there a long time before they are overwritten. Nonetheless, you still need to remember to copy them to a safe place. There are three ways that files go into the Event folder. 1) If the G-Sensor detects a collision/impact 2) Using voice command ("Record video") 3) Press the button on the camera
I'm sorry, but I don't know. This camera looks very different to mine. However, it has parking surveillance, and it's from the same manufacturer, so it might work the same way. Sorry that I can't give you a definitive answer.
@@MidnightHabit I have read as much as I have been able to find about this dash cam and I have never come across what you described. I have just started doing some tests with the parking surveillance and my tests do not bear this out, either. In a previous comment I received someone told me something that I doubted and when questioned he realized he was thinking about another camera, not the 70Mai. He had been researching lots of cameras and got the specs mixed up. I'm happy to be corrected if I am wrong, but in this case I don't think I am wrong. If you can find the source of this information please let me know.
The display remains switched off in parking mode even when there is a collision. When you return to the car and turn the dash can on it informs you that there has been a parking incident.
It will remain in monitoring mode for as long as the battery lasts. Obviously, if you are using your car battery it will be a lot longer than using the 500 mAh internal battery. When it detects a parking event it will record a one minute video.
Every time, but I only use two. "Take picture," and "Record video." For me it never fails, but my young kids like to copy when they hear me and most of the time it doesn't work for them. The commands do need to be spoken in a certain way.
@@MrTosha43 The 70Mai is quirky. Someone left a comment saying that the ADAS warnings only work sometimes and he's right. It's as if the ADAS sometimes goes to sleep. However, in my experience, I have found the voice control to be very consistent and reliable. Perhaps my voice is similar to the voice used to program it? As I said, when my kids try it won't work for them most of the time.
@@kurayC The camera has a WiFi hotspot, but the range is very limited. I'm not sure what the range is, but I only use it when sitting in the car. The internal battery can only record for about 15 minutes. If you use the car battery you can record for longer, but there is a risk of draining the battery. A power bank will work, but the amount of recording time will depend on the capacity.
I mean the following: The camera is in standby mode and only films when it detects a movement in front of the car. If everything is quiet she should not film.

It's not great. I've been using the 70mai Pro for over two years now. As a basic camera it's been very good - 100% reliable and decent image quality. All I've had to do is replace the internal battery and I like the voice control, which 70mai removed on later models. However, the extra stuff - ADAS and parking surveillance - aren't very useful.
As opposed to using the adhesive sticker? I guess so if you can attach it to the camera. Presumably a mount will have some adjustment so that you can get the correct angle. I just used the 70Mai adhesive sticker and it works well.

If you need the parking surveillance when the vehicle is turned off, One thing that can be done is connect the dash cam to a power bank. Simple as that. What say?

This feature not going to be useful in 99% of your parking but in that 1% you will be quite happy that you have this. I guess the other factor is how interested your local police are going to be!
The other way is to put the vehicle in accessory before closing the door.

Thanks for the answer. Too bad for me 😉
@@PhilUKNet hi can you tell me what firmware are you using.

Exactly what I was looking for :) I just got the A500S gonna test this tomorrow
Hope it helps. The sensor isn't very sensitive and sometimes it needs a big impact to trigger a parking event.
@@PhilUKNet thankss 😁
I will ask because my English is not very good.
I bought a 70MAI A400. What I am wondering is, when the dash cam senses a blow while the car is parked, will it make an emergency recording with its own battery, without the UP02 cable?
I believe that with newer 70mai models the parking surveillance feature will only work with the hardwire kit. With older models (like mine) parking surveillance will work without the hardwire kit, but you only get 10-15 minutes recording time with the internal battery.
@@PhilUKNet I tested the A400 and it took 40 minutes of uninterrupted video with its battery, but it requires a cable for parking mode.

The video is very informative, I have a question, can you connect a power bank to extend the duration of the surveillance mode? Thanks
Thanks very much for making it clear .I was so confused before your video.

Hi
1. How can I record the front and rear screen ratio with 16:9?
My a500s's screen ratio is always 4:3.
2. Can I see the rear screen on the app?
Sorry, I don't have an A500.
Thank you for the video! But Do you need GPS module for the parking mode feature?
No, you just need it for ADAS. It's not necessary for parking surveillance.
Could you share the exact recorded video during parking mode?

Nice watch. I think its Taghuer 2000 series. I have one too, that belonged to my late grandfather
Thank you. When put in a park surveillance mode, could the camera be aimed at the inside of the car (instead to the front)?
Not without detaching the camera from the windscreen, which isn't convenient. The lens tilts up and down slightly facing forward, but it can't be turned enough to point inside the car.
Big thanks for taking your time with this video. Really helped a lot
My pleasure! And thanks for saying thanks - it makes a big difference to RUclips creators!
So basically app only works when ignition is on car and I am near by :o/
Great detailed video.
I also believe it is correct that the rear camera has a lower resolution.
congratulations for the video. Can you tell me how many hours can be recorded in parking mode? Thank you.

How about the New Time lapse option added on the latest firmware update (October).
Hi! Please tell me which is the best: 70mai Pro or 70mai mini midrive in terms of discret mounting and image quality, thanks
@@PhilUKNet Many thanks.
this item is really good and it records emergency on parking in case of any movement.
If you have already changed the sensitivity setting there's not much else you can do 🥺
The camera in my wife's car has the opposite problem. The G sensor kept recording emergency videos for a collision every time she went over a bump. I had to put the setting on low sensitivity to stop this. The G sensor is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
Q? What is the Recording feature used for on the app? Right now by factory it reads disabled?
Brian Kiever Audio recording, there's also a button on the dash cam to turn it on and off. The default setting is just video with audio disabled but when you enable this option it records sounds in the car.

1 - Please tell me if right now are u directly connected to the fusebox? If yes the webcam will be constantly under voltage, and how that knows when the engine is off or not
2 - If the parking surveillance started, and you are opening the door then close it.
@@PhilUKNet Hi, and thank you for this video! If the internal battery is charged (capacity ~500 mAh), then will it works in parking mode?
Sorry, i’m translated “collusion”. I dont unserstand but now understand. Thanks. I’m buy 70mai pro 1-2 day ago.
Please tell me the parking mode will working well with hardwire kit or not?
I don't have a hardwire kit, but with a kit your camera will be powered by the car battery when the ignition is off. This will be better than using the internal camera battery which is only rated at 500 mAh and won't last long in parking mode.
Hello nice review, it is posible to disable the jingle when the dashcam starts and the female voice ?
As far as I'm aware, no. The only hope is that 70mai will allow you to do this in a future firmware update. Initially, it wasn't possible to remove the 70mai logo from video, but a firmware update made this possible.

Is it possible for the camera to detect when someone is scratching your car ?
There are two issues. Firstly, in parking surveillance mode a parking incident is triggered by movement - normally a collision. If the vandal scratches your car very gently it won't trigger an incident. Secondly, the camera will only record what it is pointing at. If the vandal causes enough movement to trigger an incident and scratches your bonnet (hood) it will be recorded. However, if he is gentle and/or runs a key along the side of your car it won't be recorded. It's theoretically possible that someone scratching your car can be detected, but I think that in real use it is quite unlikely.
if using hardwire kit, will it drain your car battery fast?
As I understand it, a hardwire kit measures the voltage and turns off automatically if the voltage gets too low to prevent the battery draining. It shouldn't drain the battery any faster than not using one.
Can I connect USB to the power bank for more recording times when parking?
I haven't done it myself, but I've received many comments from other people that they are using power banks. It sounds like a reasonable idea, but one person mentioned the safety aspect about leaving power banks in hot cars. The best way would be to get a hardwire kit and connect it to the car battery when the ignition is off.
@@PhilUKNet thanks mate. it helps
Wont it drain the battery hard wired?
Eventually, yes, but it's going to take a very long time. In monitoring mode the unit uses very little power and there is only one minute of actual recording for each parking incident. I have accidentally left the unit on in normal mode while not using the car and thus recorded constantly for almost 48 hours without depleting the battery.
Why do you use a 1 minute recording on the device - I changed it to 3 minutes. What is the best option?
I used 1 minute because prior to firmware 1.0.6na there was no choice. Firmware version 1.0.6na gave users the choice of 1, 2 or 3 minutes. I'm now using 2 minutes. There's not a 'best' option. Users can now choose what is the best option for them individually.
Phil UK Net
Thanks. I just installed it today and decided to try a 3 minutes option
Why my cam only record in 20 minutes , not after 20 minutes ? Its start recorded when i close the door in 20 minutes after the engine off
It has a delay built in. This can be changed - 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes but even 20 minutes is excessive.
No i mean my parking surveillance start immediately after i turn off the engine , so it will record when i close the door

How long can the battery last for parking mode?
If someone hits the side mirror of the car, do you sign up and please reply?❤️
I don't understand your question.
@@PhilUKNet imean
If someone hits the side mirror of the car while it is in a standing position, do you register as an emergency

ترجمة مباشرة
@@yousefmohamad7368 Maybe, but probably not. There's an accelerometer (G meter) inside that detects physical movement. The idea is that when the car is hit the G meter detects movement and starts the video. The problem is that it isn't very sensitive. A lot of people complain about the lack of sensitivity. When I was doing some testing I had to slam a door really hard to trigger a parking event. If someone knocks a side mirror, depending on the severity of the impact, it may trigger an event or it may not.
@@PhilUKNet thanks
It has motion detection to get a guy who scratch the car without any colission
No. It has an accelerometer (G sensor) that can only detect movement when something hits the car and makes it move. If the car/camera doesn't actually move, it doesn't detect anything.
Can I use the dash cam for 9-10 hours continuous recording and saving that video on one single file?

How to connected it in the fuse box ? Please .
Hi Phil, do you need to hardwire it for this feature to work? Thanks!
Thanks Phil. I’m not planning to use it in airports car park long term so just gonna use it by itself! Regards from Australia!

I have the dash cam hard wired into a permanently live circuit with an on/off switch. If you leave the camera in parking mode it shouldn't cause any problems at all because it will be using very little power.

You're welcome. I'm always pleased to hear that a video has been helpful. Thanks for your comment!

Can you protect a file while recording is at the press of a button?
You can't actually protect a file per se, but what you can do is turn the video into an emergency video, which will then be stored in a different ('Event') folder. Regular files in the 'Normal' folder are overwritten quickly but - unless you make a LOT of emergency videos - emergency videos in the 'Event' folder will stay there a long time before they are overwritten. Nonetheless, you still need to remember to copy them to a safe place.
There are three ways that files go into the Event folder. 1) If the G-Sensor detects a collision/impact 2) Using voice command ("Record video") 3) Press the button on the camera

Can i use a mount on this? And if yes, will it affect the angle of the vid/photo ??
As opposed to using the adhesive sticker? I guess so if you can attach it to the camera. Presumably a mount will have some adjustment so that you can get the correct angle. I just used the 70Mai adhesive sticker and it works well.
@@PhilUKNet thanks mate
is this applicable with X200 70mai?
I'm not sure. Sorry.
