Anyway, from timestamp 1:02:00 and 1:02:25, on the break you can see, especially in the replay, that the cue ball would have ended up hooked behind the 6 ball but, because the template stops it, Tyler Styer gets a clear shot on the 2 ball.
Rob, he didn’t say anything about liking or not liking the template, just pointed out it does have a negative aspect on the game , one that can (and has) changed the outcome of a game. Try to think.

it's pool... there wouldn't be a benefit that would change your viewing experience. Plus think of the amount of investment that this place would have to put into very expensive camera and audio equipment. It's a static frame with barely any movement. Your demand is very misplaced.

1.02.40 yes around here the white clearly changes path .. I dunno why they just don't use a 9 ball triangle thingy and 1 corner could be easily broken to take it off without disturbing the balls. We use to use a triangle in the college canteen that broke and we didn't have to lift it off, just used it to line them up then it separated .
It's not rubber. Some are thin plastic and some are made from fabric. They do alter the path to some degree but if removed after the break, the game is unchanged. The consistency they provide far out ways their drawbacks. For those who say it is the same layout. Those will change with speed and different contact points between the one and the cue. The balls are supposed to go in certain directions after the break. But only if racked right.
@@TNskinny I feel that they could easily place the balls and line them up nicely using the same old triangle we have in the pub only, a 9 ball shaped 1 and that it splits so no balls are effected when taking the triangle away. As its made of bendable plastic.
They all take their own skill set for sure. Watch the video where Ronnie O Sullivan plays American Billiards. Smaller table and bigger pockets and he was getting wiped and he admitted it was much different.
