This tournament was hosted by a club called "BC `98 Aschaffenburg e.V." and played in their rooms. If we take me as an example, I pay a mere 42 Euros per month to my club which is based in Berlin, and I can practice whenever I want - I have the keys to the club's pool room. So practice time is incredibly cheap - and it's also very fun to be able to listen to your own Spotify playlist while practicing. :)

No, it wasn't. In Germany, competitive pool is not played in pool halls in most cases, but in membership clubs that have their own private pool rooms.
