At 6:04 the truck driver looked at the mirror but he could't see you, and at 6:07 when he started to pass the other truck, you were about 210 meters closer to him. You were traveling at arould 70 m/s, so it's no surprise that he didn't see you. I'm not saying that a semi truck shall be allowed to pass an other one on a two lane road, where there are no speed limits, but at the same time you have to be prepared for things like this... btw I love your videos, so keep it up, just don't crash yourself

He is allowed to pass slower vehicles in the fast lane. But after passing he needs to return to the right lane. Damn, did any of you even pass the test for a drivers licence? The dude that was driving the BMW needs to be more careful. Yes there are no speed limits, but that doesnt mean you own the road. You need to adjust your speed to traffic conditions. But hey, in 2019, there are so many kids that would risk their lives for YT fame.

Mr Carson welcome to the autobahn. There are loads of cars driving like that. The truck driver needs to be constantly looks at his mirrors watching for cars driving fast because if he hits them, it’ll be his fault. I drive on the autobahn everyday and I can you it’s pretty easy to tell if someone’s coming fast if you’re paying attention. You’ll see how much ground they’re covering.
Trucks are Not allowed to overtake on many german highways.

Just 7 minutes of driving and already 3 very unsettling situations. It's just not fun anymore to drive fast in germany unless you're driving around at 3-5am. I'm almost never comfortable anymore doing over 200 on the highway.Had way too many close calls in my life.

I'm extremely impressed with German driving. Watching this, I saw so many moments that would have ended catastrophically on American roadways.
Ich bin sehr beeindruckt vom deutschen Fahren. Als ich das sah, sah ich so viele Momente, die auf amerikanischen Straßen katastrophal geendet hätten.
Well in America... Depends where you are, Kentucky's long state highway is mostly only 2 lanes but it's identical to the Autobahn. I was able to average around 90mph on it & hit 135 because there are signs every few miles that remind people to keep out the left lane except to pass so I of course was in the left lane entire time but it's risky driving fast in the US because the speed limits are so low. SUV drivers and idiots on their cell phones ruin it. Roads in Ohio however are filled with potholes & look terrible due to the colder climates and rust belt state of affairs.
People in europe knows what the left lane is for lol. I see so many clips on when people drive in USA and they dont seem to know what the left lane is for.
@@hihello6353 I recently returned to Germany & the Nürburgring is on my to do list. I'll also be buying a 1series in a few days. What worries me here is the crazy left wing climate fanatics, high taxes, and inflated gas prices. Its like $60 equivalent to fill a tank in the EU
@@DigitalDissident normally its even more. Gas prices vary alot, but as an example a gallon of normal 95 octane petrol costs 5,82$ today, which is actually relatively cheap. A few weeks ago it was like 6,7$ per gallon. Most of it is just taxes (and they even want to increase them), but its also usually "better" fuel than in the US (the cheapest you can get is 95 octane with 10% biofuel, the most expensive has like 102 octane with no biofuel)
@@DigitalDissident That's awesome. I live in the North East. New Jersey is very similar which is where I grew up, but in Delaware, the passing lane is non existant, and everyone drives in it. They do not understand the concept of keeping right.

@@DjNikGnashers yes, indeed I had it upgraded now 😄 now it has stage 1 405/600. Limiter removed but with winter tyres I can't try top speed. Do you know your top speed?
@@dsd6538 Not had a proper GPS top speed measurement, but similar power cars on AUTO TOP NL channel are doing 186mph on the autobahn :-)
As far as I understand it, there are two limiters, the first can be removed easily with a remap, and takes top speed to 175mph, the second limiter requires a bit more work to do, and basically then you're only limited by power/revs/aerodynamics.
There is a clip of the Pure Turbo test car doing 329Kph/ 204mph but that had (I think) 660bhp at the time.
@@DjNikGnashers I don't think 186mph would be enough at about 450hp, as even mine runs up 260 kmh very fast. Maybe it is better for us to be limited at 175mph then (if that also applies to your car - and mine, I don't know), as I don't think that this car is meant to be driven at over 300kmh.
@@dsd6538 The car will be fine over 200 mph, it's really more limited by the tyres.
I have PS4 Y rating which are (ironically) limited to 186 mph).

Is the M140i really shifting at 7100/7200? Every other 1 Series of that Gen shifts at around 6500/6600. Looks like a slightly tuned car to me tbh.

Me myself I like to go fast on the Autobahn but I would never ever drive that fast directly next to a truck.
The truck have to be 10 km/h faster than the other, the whole passing must be done in 45 sec. That's almost never the case, so it's not legal. And the law also says you have to take care about the following traffic, if it's risky then you should not pass. In my opinion it's always risky in a no-speed-limit zone. So overall I would say the truck was not allowed to pass...

Denke ich auch nicht, mir ist schon Ähnliches widerfahren, da wäre das Ausweichen auf die Standspur wohl das Sicherste gewesen. Dem LKW-Fahrer kann man aber keinen Vorwurf machen, das konnte er weder sehen, noch ahnen.

Auf der Strecke bin ich vorgestern noch mit dem Audi A6 Avant 45 3.0 TDI gute 260 km/h gefahren, alles war frei und ein sehr unaufmerksamer Fahrer meinte, mit seinem Transporter bei 90 hinterm LKW raus zu ziehen...
Why are the brakes so bad? You could not brake at 100m board on Nürburgring with this light car. No downforce at all. Is this low downforce Setup? Even the giant old Bentley Continental GT3 was able to do. Has this car the same brakes as the street version or what?

Zur Szene @ 6:07: dasselbe ist mir mit unserer Corvette passiert, nur noch fürchterlicher. Zweispurige Bahn, vor mir gut 1,5 km (!) lang niemand, dann nur 2 (!) Fahrzeuge rechts mit ca. 90 km/h, davor wieder 1 km nichts, mein speed ca. 275 km/h., Sommertag tagsüber beste Sicht. Gefühlt 300 mtr. vor den beiden schert der hintere, ein Range Rover - natürlich ohne Blicker zu setzen - komplett auf meine Spur aus. Ich bin mir sicher, wenn die Corvette nicht auch so fantastisch bremsen würde wie sie nach vorne geht, könnte ich diesen Kom. nicht mehr posten - die Motorhaube der Corvette war unter der Stoßstange vom Range (ohne Schaden).
Ergebnis für mich: nie wieder auf einer zweispurigen mit hohem speed, es sind zuviele Irre unterwegs. Wenn, dann bei drei Spuren und auf der mittleren ist niemand, absolut niemand. Übrigens, am Steuer des Range saß ein ca. zwanzig jähriges Mädel. Habe mich direkt nach der Aktion neben den Range gesetzt und Fenster runter, auf dem Beifahrersitz des Range ein Typ Marke Türsteher, Stiernacken, tattoos, schreit zu mir du Arschloch, nice oder ?
Fährst selbst "275 Km/h" auf einer öffentlichen Straße und gibst Anderen die Hauptschuld an diesem Unfall?!
